Just spent a great Easter weekend at Pilgrims Way. The welcome we got on arrival was great & it was 8 o'clock when we got there!.
We were shown to a pitch, called 'Knot' all pitches are named, plenty of room & we were quickly helped into position by the owner Peter.
Peter said come & sort out payment when your ready any time before you leave! I went 2 days later! & paid no problem! not many places like this any more. Only £18-50 per night including hook-up, Over Easter! what a bargain!
The site is well laid out with a sun terrace, play area for kids and TV room. Everywhere is nice and tidy and the recycling facilities are good, chickens roaming about & a very nice place to chill-axe!.
The toilets and showers are also very clean. If I was pushed to be objective I would say that two showers plus a family shower room would probably not be enough if the site was full to capacity. However we didn't have to queue at all & the site was 90% full.
Went to Ball House pub, the local about 5 mins away for a carvery on the Sunday & pigged out for lunch!
Will defo use this site again.

This was the first time for us away with our new Swift Conqueror 630, The owner was very polite and very helpful and could not of made our stay any better than possibly giving us a little bit of sunshine oppose to all the terrible Rain, Sleet, Snow and gale force winds we suffered.
The site is very cosy and I'm sure in peak season is a great place to be and making all new friends. The toilet block was immaculately clean and seemed to cater for all purposes.
This will be another possible place to visit again. Just wished we could have thanked the owner before we left. I hope this feedback gets back to her!
You have a lovely site

Well, I don;t think I am going to say anything different to most of the reviews. This site is a cracker! Compact, but nice sized pitches which are very private thanks to high hedging to three sides. Owners are fantastic - very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Boston only a few minutes drive and coastal seaside towns within about half an hour.
Facilities are clean and well kept and the grounds well tended. Nice and secure site for children with a small playground and trampoline. Although dogs are allowed, there isn't really anywhere to walk them other than along the road outside (not a problem for us though as we don;t have one).
The weekend we stayed was a Halloween theme and it was nice to see all the caravans decorated and the kids all dressed up. My daughter thought it was great (especially as she won the fancy dress comp :-) ). Although the event tickets were £14 each, which I initially thought was a bit steep, the owners laid on some lovely soup/quiche/cakes/jacket potatoes and a great firework display which in all fairness to them probably cost more than they made.
Overall, I would say a great little site that I know we will return to time and time again.
If there is a downside it's the relatively low current EHU (10 amp I think). But providing you bear it in mind it shouldn't be a problem.

We recently enjoyed a one night stopover whilst on route from Yorkshire to Norfolk.
The site is located a convenient 10 min drive from Boston.
The site is very compact, but well maintained, pitches are screened by hedges giving a cosy & private situation.
The owners were very welcoming indeed.
Toilet facilities are very good, clean & comfortable.
A trampoline provided entertainment for children.
Speaking to fellow campers it seemed that most were returning visitors, as we certainly will become on future trips.
Boston is a nice town, worth a visit.

Great site with very nice secluded pitches. Work in progress by the owners who are doing a great job. Very friendly, site facilities very clean and always a friendly face to greet you. I would recommend for families or couples as pitches can be chosen to accommodate either, good site with only one slight down side being tractor noise from adjoining road, ok as long as your not planning a lie in !. Keep and eye on site website as they often have theme weekends, sadly not on our weekend but they look great and are quickly booked up. Short drive into Boston if you need provisions ( get your eggs on site ! )and plenty of fishing locally if required, also Boston Golf course well worth playing. All in all cracking site for all ages.

Just returned from a weekend with some friends, 10 of us in total in 3 tents.
On arrival we were shown to our pitches which as requested were all together, the owners were very friendly and the welcome pack was a nice touch.
As the site wasn't full it meant that on friday night after getting fish and chips from the local chip shop, we had plenty of room to play olympic games, including volley ball.
On sat night we walked around to the pet show and yes we were the ones who came dressed as pets, we had already bought food for a BBQ so ate that and then went for another walk around the site in our outfits.
I thought the site was very clean and tidy, but must agree with the other review that if the site had been full two toilets and two showers probably wouldn't have been enough. The showers had plenty of hooks and also a fold down seat so there was lots of room to put stuff although I would've liked to have been able to mop the floor after I had finished so the next person had a dry floor.
Definitely a site we would return to.

Just spent a great weekend at Pilgrims Way. The welcome we got on arrival was great.
We were shown to a large pitch, plenty big enough for our large tent.
Peter was very helpful telling us the name of a local Indian Takeaway as we'd left it a little late to cook something on the Friday. He even offered to take delivery of it and bring it down to us at our tent.
The site is well laid out with a sun terrace, play area for the kids and TV room. Everywhere is nice and tidy and the recycling facilities are good.
The toilets and showers are also very clean. If I was pushed to be objective I would say that two showers plus a family shower room would probably not be enough if the site was full to capacity. However we didn't have to queue at all as we showered at different times from everyone else so it didn't bother us.
We were lucky with the weather and had a fun day in Skegness on the Saturday. We returned that evening and after getting freshened up made our way up to the sun terrace for a game of bingo. Nice touch that there was a prize for the winning childs ticket as well as the adults.
A bbq was running that evening sadly we had already bought bbq food so we didn't try it but it looked great.
The bingo was followed by a Pet Show which was pretty amusing, made more so by the adult animals that came along. Not sure why they didn't hang around for the judging.
We had a great weekend and will definitely return but will make sure that we book one of the pitches further away from the road as the one we were on was occasionally a bit noisy in the day.

Lovely site. Beautifully set out with hedging all around making each pitch very private. Each pitch is named after a bird. There is a large decking area with outside seating which is great for families to use. The hens wandering freely around the site are fun to watch, just be careful not to run them over. The toilets and showers are clean and basic. My only gripe is the amount of gravel around the site which makes walking heavy going and it is difficult to walk quietly at night or early morning.
On arrival you are presented with a really helpful welcome pack which is very good. Wish more sites took this idea on board.
There is a pub in the village which is a 15 minute walk away. Unfortunately for us, it is not dog friendly and while we sat outside the locals tended to gather around our table for a smoke - not nice. We also learnt quite a few new words from their conversations too.
There is a nice walk across the fields and along the river into Boston. We walked back along the road as it was a bit shorter and less muddy. Visit 'Love Fish' for fantastic fish and chips and go to Skinner's Ice Creams for a large 99. Both in Boston, both are excellent.

I am going to make a pretty bold statement now.
At the time of me writing this, this is the best site I have ever stayed at.
The facilities are great, well maintained.
We actually had to put our tent on a hard standing pitch due to the grass pitches being to wet, but that was fine by us.
The pitches are well kept as is the whole of the site.
There is a small play area for kids and I do mean small. But it served its purpose.
There are chickens wondering around freely which was quite nice, but you do need watch out for chicken poo!
Now the owners are what make this place tick, fantastic people who put the effort in for you. Plus they did a quiz one night on the sun terrace there. Take a few drinks, have a good laugh and try not to come last. The atmosphere is great they make everyone relaxed and make sure everyone is having fun!
Boston is a short drive and is a good day out. They have a good market and if you go at the right time of year there are plenty if places to do some strawberry picking!
So do yourself a favour and book a weekend away here!

We spent a sunny weekend at Pilgrims Way the last weekend in May. This is a lovely site in a lovely area. The facilities are spot on, lovely hot showers and clean toilet facilities. The owners are very approachable and helpful. The pitches are ideal, the one we had was really secluded.
My cat really enjoyed sharing the park with the free roaming hens she was fascinated by them.
The surrounding area is ideal for cycling, we enjoyed cycling to the Pilgrims Fathers memorial. There is a smallish supermarket and lovely pub nearby.
Overall a lovely spot and we would definitely visit again.
