This was our 3rd stay at this site and it is still a great place for both adults and families. The owners Peter and Jacqui make sure you receive a warm welcome. We took our 7 year old neice with us and she had non stop fun from the minute we arrived. Their was an easter egg hunt, easter bonnet competition, films and an evening BBQ (small price for burgers and hot dogs) free pop for all kids. The pitches are a mixture of hard standing, hard standing & grass or all grass (for tents). The shower block is well maintained and heated with disabled facilities. (key from office0. There is a small park for the kids and a nice fruit bearing orchard that you can pick your own fruit from as well as being able to buy home made jams etc from the office as well as fresh eggs from the resident free range chickens. You can order your daily papers at the office, There is a small supermarket 2 mins drive away and a bigger ASDA 10 mins drive away. An abundance of takeaways are all within 10 mins drive and a fantastic chip shop (limited opening hours ) 3 mins drive away. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners or the wardens ( our warden helped us to put up/take down our awning )especially if you are struggling a bit. It wont be long before our next visit.

Just returned from a 4 night Easter Break camping with electric hook up at this site.

Overall very clean and tidy compact site, safe for kids and had a number activities on that made a change.

However a number of points to be made aware of:

- If you are camping in a tent with Electric Hook Up ensure you request to have your hook up connected to the house circuit. We were connected to the Caravan circuit and the electricity supply kept on cutting out (over 100 times one night) due to too many hook ups on the single circuit. This was a major issue for us with kids.

- For camping the site is very compact no real area for privacy, it did feel that the site was trying to fit in as many tents etc in as possible. (Maybe also why the electricity circuit kept cutting out)

- We needed to park 100 yards away from your pitch so you need to carry all the tent etc to your pitch for set up and break down.

Although very safe and secure it is highly unlikely we will return because as campers we felt for the money certainly electricity supply should be guaranteed (certainly for tent users)

A lovely family run campsite which was ideal for a camping trip with a toddler. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable throughout our stay and even assisted us to pitch our tent. The facilities were great, clean and had a heated toilet, shower block and family room. The site also had a playground which our son loved. We had the dunlin pitch which was quite private due to three hedges and large enough to accommodate a four man tent with the car parked adjacent. The washing up area was spotless and covered too in the event of adverse weather. There was easy access to the electric hook up, drinking water and waste disposal areas. We visited Skegness on our visit which was half an hour away and also Tattershall castle which took 25 minutes by car. The town of Boston is nearby and handy for stocking up on food although the campsite do sell local produce and gas too. All in all, a great, very well run and maintained campsite to which we will be returning.

WOW what a lovely gem in the Lincolnshire countryside. We had stayed in Skegness for 2 weeks and thought we would book a further 4 nights on our way home to chill! The owners are very welcoming and have thought in depth to cater for all camping needs. Tourers, tents motor homes and trailer tents. Facilities were clean and very adequate, fresh free range eggs and homemade preserves were available to purchase. We had a 'Prom Night' to entertain us for the end of the school hols and it was great fun with our hosts making every effort to make sure we had a night to remember. This Site is wonderful and should get a 5 star, Can`t wait to return just don`t tell too many folk!

Wonderful clean, tidy site, private pitches surrounded by trees & hedges, also communal camping field amongst trees & bushes, where there is a bbq (bbq supplied, bring your own charcoal) area. All pitches have hook ups. Toilets/showers very clean & warm. Owners extremely helpful & friendly, nothing too much trouble. Small playground, great for little munchkins, and trampoline for slightly older ones. Also friendly, visiting chickens! Site itself worthy of high praise, but then they throw in entertainment as well! There is a sun terrace with seating, tables & loungers, great for socialising, especially if you are a large group as we were, no need to all squeeze into one awning! Some might find being next to the road a bit noisy, but to be honest, we hardly noticed it. Site in the middle of countryside, pub & shop around a 15 minute walk away & Boston about a 2 mile drive, Skegness about 20-30 minutes drive away. Well sited for many local attractions. Peter & Jaqui have thought of everything to ensure their guests have an enjoyable stay. Will definitely be paying another visit.

Well what can I say other than brilliant. Peter and Jackie are just the best really hospitable and can't do enough. Along with Paul and his other half (sorry old age and all that forgot your name). I broke down in my vw first morning there and they coudn't do enough to help. No rush when arriving to sort things out it was get set up see when done to pay the fees. Toilet and shower block outstanding never a queue and always spotless. Same with washing up facilities which are under cover. Shop ten mins walk away (Spar), Boston 5 mins drive. All pitches private with hedging. Kids play park (small but adequate). Lots going on at weekends to get all us campers together and socialise but not in your face that feel obliged to join in (though most do!). Booked in again for next weekend loved it that much.

This is the second time we have been to this site with family and friends and it wont be our last. This site is so friendly and pitches are very private. The entertainment is such good fun as you will see by the photos on their website. Toilet block and all facilities are second to none. This is a must place to stay and hats off to the owners they put in so much time and effort to make your stay absolutely fantastic. Lots of places to visit nearby a must site to visit so give it a go and have fun

Booked this site having seen the website and read some good reviews – we had met a lovely couple on our previous camping trip and said that it would be nice to meet again so we chose Pilgrims Way due to availability and it being located quite convenient to where we both lived.

Arrived on site on a wet day and were given a warm welcome by the man who ran the site. He was very nice and even made us a cup of tea. He pointed us in the direction of our pitch clearly but seemed unsure as to where our friends were to pitch their tent – they had not yet arrived. We were disappointed to see that, after having read the website descriptions that we did not in fact have a private pitch but in fact we were to be camping in the site owners back garden! Our pitch was okish – under trees and very close to the house.

Our friends arrived and again the man pointed them in the general direction of their pitch – seeming a little unsure but telling them to pitch to one side as people would “walk through to use the facilities”. They started to pitch, where, I must say I would have pitched given his instructions, and I went to the office to pay to be “greeted” by the owners wife telling me that our friends were pitching in the wrong place and that they shouldn’t be pitching there etc etc and how difficult it was to fit tents on an “ornamental garden” in a generally unfriendly manner and seemingly cross with me. I pointed out that maybe someone had ought to go and tell them sooner rather than later and that I had pitched my tent where I had been told. The man then came in and tried to placate his wife by telling her I was in my pitch exactly where he had told us to be and it was not us in the wrong.

Then there were the chickens – not impressive – going in the tents! I might appear grumpy but free range chickens on a “dog friendly” camp site didn’t impress me and I have to say even if I had not had the dog - I would not have appreciated chickens in my tent on my lovely clean tent carpet!

The pitches in the “garden” we were on were close together, ok for friends camping but not otherwise.

The facilities were o/k, clean enough but very annoying push button taps on everything, including the waste disposal which isn’t helpful when you are trying to wash out a Kampa Khazi or anything I else I don’t suppose. The taps on the sinks didn’t even run long enough to wash hands – very annoying. The showers were equally as annoying and not very roomy – with the shower curtain clinging to you unless you could stand sideway against the wall and I’m not a large lady. The dressing area within the shower cubicles were flooded out by the showers so dressing was not easy either! To the man’s credit he did try to sort this out one morning but was what I can only describe as “screamed at” over the walkie talkies to leave it alone by the lady in front of a full toilet block. I was embarrassed for the poor man and thought she was very unprofessional in doing this.

I was then confronted again by an older lady, again telling me off like a naughty school girl that our dog was off its lead – he was not! He was on his peg and on his lead – I politely explained that the dog she was referring to was not mine but our friends who was off her lead in their day tent.

I am sure it could be a nice site in the proper pitches rather than camping in the garden. Again I hadn’t minded paying £23 a night thinking we were getting proper pitches and nice facilities – had I known I would be pitching my tent in a “ornamental garden” I would not have bothered. Had we not been meeting our newly found camping friends we would not have stayed here.

Visited this site on the recommendation of a friend and very glad we did. Stayed on the very busy Royal wedding bank holiday weekend and were nervous campers (our first year camping.), but were made very welcome by the owners.

Our kids loved the trampoline (son spent most of the weekend there!). Kids playground was a bit small we felt for the number of children staying on the site and was certainly geared towards the under 5s.

Toilet block was standard. 2 toilets and 2 showers in the ladies, same in the mens and a family shower room too.

What really made this site for us was the entertainment. On the day of the wedding there was a 'street party' with campers getting together watching the wedding, craft activities for the kids, followed by a disco in the evening.

The Saturday was Barn Dance evening followed by campfire. Even the most unlikely folk were up dancing. A really good night. My 4 year old daughter loved it! Fabulous hosts made the weekend - thank you!

We weren't short of things to do during the day either. We went to the beach for the day, but are planning to head back to visit some of the other attraction on offer locally.

Close enough to Boston (with large Asda) for shopping requirements.

There was a warm welcome to the site and owner even helped push caravan onto pitch. Price was very reasonable for the service I received. Would recommend this site wholeheartedly. Excellent service wish all sites were the same.Large decked area for socializing near to play area.

Will definitely use this site again and would recommend this site if your looking for value for money and a customer focused site. Local spar shop just 2 mins drive from site.Boston town centre was just 5-10 mins drive away.
