Visited this site in August with my husband and 2 kids aged 9 and 12 & the dog we had a tent with electric hook up. The pitches size was terrific and well looked after. The only thing I would say is the path alongside the tents is of stone, so if you where sleeping and people were walking you would hear them.
The people who looked after the park where every helpful and friendly. The site was terrific and very clean. Though there wasn't a shop on site it did sell small things such as ice creams etc. Key entry into the toilets which was very clean and the showers was amazing (though younger kids might not like to power of the showers), hot and cold drinks machine in the laundry room. The washing area for the dishes was also keep clean.
There was a small play park which kept the kids amused, nearest shop is in Tyndrum not far from the site but was quite expensive. The nearest Morrisons is Fort William and Tesco is Oban.
Would definitely recommend this site and return but only for a long weekend due to already having done the site seeing around the place.

Stayed on this site for 5 days in a tent without electrical hookup. I cannot praise the people who run this site enough.
It was spotless; beautifully clean toilet and shower block (never had to queue), laundry room with microwave and hot drinks machine, manicured and level tent pitches and enforcement of noise rules after 11pm for the consideration of other campers.
Nothing was too much trouble for the lady at reception who was very friendly and helpful.
The site is in a great position for exploring the Scottish Highlands (the West Highland Way path runs along the back of the site) and is near to 2 train stations if you fancy a train ride to Fort William or Oban.
The only downside is that Tyndrum itself is not particularly picturesque. It is situated on the main road and only has one pub/bar which is a bit tacky and run down.
Midges about, but really not a problem (though I did use Avon SSS). Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

First time visiting this site and all down to the reviews on here and it was great
Friendly welcome on arrival, toilets spotless with really powerful showers (helps wake you up in the morning)
Our pitch was just behind the toilet block on a double pitch due to tent size and was ideal for the kids as they could go themselves
Also there is a free hairdryer in the toilets (so no need for a pocket of 20p pieces)
Small playpark that kept the kids amused
Site also has free wifi that seemed to cover the site pretty well
There is a small footbridge to the side of the reception that takes you on a woodland walk (if you go left over the bridge and through the trees it joins onto the west highland way)
This is a site that I will use again great price £20. 50 a night for a large tent with hook up and each pitch has it's own water tap

This was our second visit to this site. It is first class. The access is easy. The facilities are good and all beautifully kept. The fully serviced pitches are a real bonus. The wardens are efficient, friendly and helpful. Friends came to stay for a night in a tent and they too were very impressed.
The situation is great for visiting the lovely area towards Oban and we also spent a day going to Callendar.
The village has the outstanding Green Welly Stop and a very good Chip Shop.
I highly recommend a visit to this site and can't wait to return.

We have stayed here 3 times in total, twice in our tent, and once in one of the cabins. We've found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, with the exception of one of the male wardens. The site is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Toilets and showers are fresh and cleaned daily. It is very quiet, despite the roadside location and is about 15 meters off the West Highland Way.
This site is a little more expensive than others we have visited, but you get what you pay for.
The cabins are nice. Better looking from the outside than the inside. A kettle, heater and beds are provided but no linens. Cheaply furnished, but they serve their purpose.
The site also has WiFi, which is a nice touch if your route planning in the middle of nowhere and no service on your phone.

In a word Fantastic.
This site is absolutely top class. After 4 weeks touring we rate this in the top 2 sites in Scotland we have stayed on.
Big hardstanding pitches, plenty of room between you and the next pitch. Well drained pitches as on gravel but grass between for landscaping.
Lovely new toilets / showers and a laundry. Washing up area and drinks machines.
Free Wifi which works really well. Super friendly and helpful owners.
The Green Well Stop, Paddy's Bar and a local Supermarket all within 10-15 minutes walk.
We didn't find the road noise intrusive at all.
In all honestly there isn't a negative for this site - you are well placed for touring or just as a stopover on the way to or from the islands.
A wonderful site that we will be using again and again.

I stayed here with family and friends for 2 nights and all I can say is a huge thank you to the owners. The site is very well kept and maintained with the showers and sinks very clean, the grounds very tidy and the bins emptied daily.
The owners are very friendly and made us feel really welcome. We used tents with electric hook ups and the pitches were well drained and very even. No noise after 11pm suited us fine and was welcome after a day spent enjoying the fresh air, the great walks and running after kids all day.
The kids have a great playpark and lots of space to run around.
Located within a few minutes walk of shops it's a great location.
Popular with walkers it sits right on the WHW.
I will be back this year and for years to come, looking forward to my next visit already.
Only (very) slight downside is the site is located next to the main road but the trees shelter you from most of the noise and at night the traffic is very minimal.

What a shame this site is on the side of the A82, had it not been for the noise from the road, this site would tick all our boxes. The facilities are very nice, lovely and warm. The owners were friendly and obviously take great pride in their site. The pitches were large, and very neat and tidy with hardstandings and grass between them. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.
The site is alongside a small river with lovely walks up and over the moors. Just a five minute along the road and you have a good cafe, we had haddock and chips and it is the best fish I have had for years. The site has midge machines which help to reduce the number of bugs; not such a problem in April, only managed one bite in a week! If you want total peace and tranquillity, bear in mind the traffic noise at this site. Apart from that, highly recommended. The site also offers hikers huts, wooden 'tents', They seem like a good idea at around £35 per night. We would stop here again.

We stayed here for two nights whilst walking the WHW and can not praise this site enough. We hired the hikers huts which are immaculatley clean and very comfortable. The owners and wardens are very friendly and nothing's too much trouble for them.
The showers and toilets are spotless and are free to use including free hairdrier's. There is a laundry and dishwasing area which again is very clean. The whole site is very well looked after with ample bin's and even free dog waste bags dotted around just in case your best friend has an accident on site.
There is a main road beside the site but we never noticed any traffic noise. Tyndrum is a busy little village with tourists stopping at the services on their way towards Oban and the Western Isles. There's a pub that allows dog's and also serves good food. There is a small local shop but it is best to be prepared here as we struggled to get the basics for a BBQ and ended up in the pub for a delicous meal.
This site was a fantastic find and I can't wait to return.

Stopped over for one night en route to Skye. This is most certainly one of the best run sites I have visited, partner and I were sorry that we didn't have time to extend our stay,we had to be in Skye the following day.Site and facilities are spotless and if anything better than caravan club standards.
Washroom spotless and well heated, well lit and central for all pitches. Even a microwave available in laundry room. Each pitch has water and tv also available but has to be booked in advance. Main Oban, Glasgow Road passes the site but noise not a problem. This is a great site to break your journey if heading north or to Oban etc.
Pub and food only 5 minute walk from the site.
