Just got back from pine trees. Can't fault the site- excellent clean shower block and plenty of hot water; clean well maintained site, good level fully services pitches and right next to West Highland Way for walking. Tyndrum itself a bit limited for eateries and hostelries but overall nice quiet place. Perfect getaway from the rat race! Very friendly and helpful owners; will be back but hopefully with bring better weather!

This is a first class campsite and the wardens go the extra mile to ensure your stay is trouble free and a wonderful experience. We stayed in one of their luxury trekker huts on a very cold but sunny Easter weekend, the hut had a microwave, kettle, mini fridge, flat screen tv and a more than adequate heater. The shower block was immaculate and the free showers were piping hot. They also had a laundry room with automatic washing machines. Add this to the stunning scenery and it made for a most pleasant weekend for my wife and kids. But as I said previously they go the extra mile and they laid on an Easter egg hunt and other activities for the kids totally free of charge and my kids loved it, there was even a free raffle for the adults with excellent prizes! Will definitely be returning not only next Easter but most probably in the summer.

We only stayed one night but loved the site. Although small, it was beautifully landscaped and included a tiny stream and, of course, set in stunning scenery. The warden was very friendly and helpful and the site coped well with the high winds and battering rain that we had had.
The toilets and showers were immaculate and in perfect working order.
There is a pub/restaurant nearby and the site is on the main road which runs through the valley of Glencoe so there are plenty of walks and places to visit, particularly for those interested in nature and social history.
We would definitely come again.

We spent a fantastic fortnight here. We have a large tent so Cameron placed us over two pitches. The weather was mixed but mainly mild and there were accessible, beautiful walks locally. Perfect for our dog! The little river was ideal for the children to play in though we were told it can swell rapidly when rainfall in the mountains is high.
It was a very friendly, well-organised site and we really felt cared for.
The village is pleasant and The Green Welly Shop was convenient for food, fuel and panic purchases such as extra blankets when the temperature dipped. Their pizzas were pricey but utterly delicious and we were grateful for their café staying open until 9pm when we had been out all day. Our bbqs tend to be on the gourmet side so we were happy with the various food shops even though they were rather expensive if you compared basics at a supermarket. Only food disappointment for us was at the local fish and chip place where they had decided to posh it up. Nothing was included and we ended up paying a premium for small, dainty artistically arranged portions that left us hungry! Only made that mistake once though.
Our dog was welcome in so many places and we found no end of free parking. This site and area will be hard to beat!

I have to say this must be one of the best organised sites I have ever visited in a lifetime of camping. It is also in a beautiful location with a mountain vista and a lovely rocky stream running alongside the site set amid pine trees through which runs the West Highland Way walk.
It is located very conveniently for overnight stops on the way up north/back down south (and for the West Highland Way), but we liked it so much we stayed for a week. It was sensibly priced - we paid £16 a night for a basic pitch for our 4 man tunnel tent.
It is not a huge site - which immediately makes it friendlier and the welcome was genuine. The managing couple, despite clearly working very hard for much of the day to keep it running smoothly always had time for a chat and were eager to help with any problem, even giving me a tin of tomatoes from their own larder as they didn't have one for sale in the small shop. They were clearly very interested in keeping their customers happy, stressing that this site does not welcome 'lager louts' - to put it bluntly. (We did drink our share of lager during the week, but that was obviously not the issue of itself!)
The pitches for tents were all flat and well kept, closely mown. They were incredibly well resourced with water points (one near every 2-3 tents) and hook ups. There were plenty of picnic tables available and even moveable barbecue stands. The main tent camping area pitches (around 25) were divided into double plots by gravel paths to prevent mud (successfully) and also had gravelled parking slots alongside.
The toilet block was steps away, and had everything you might need - washing machines and rotary airers with free pegs, a microwave, hot drink vending machine, two washup points, as well as the usual facilities. All this was regularly cleaned with no icky build up of insects in corners as is more commonly the case.
The toilet facilities were kept spotlessly clean throughout the day and always well stocked with soap/ toilet roll. The showers were a pleasure too, good pressure, well drained, always with unlimited hot water and plenty of hooks and a bench in the spacious cubicles.
The ladies facilities had mirrors galore and a free hairdryer - don't know about the mens! There were only 3 of everything but I never had to wait. There was even a step for children to help making using the washbasins easier. (just a simple touch that was typical of the thought that has gone into this site).
The waste disposal was really well managed, regularly emptied, with full recycling facilities also provided and 'dog bins' at two locations on site to make picking up after dogs - well, almost a pleasure.
Ok, there were one or two negatives - the gravel paths were a bit noisy if anyone walked past and there is a bit of traffic noise from the A82 which shares the same valley, but this does die down at night. Midges were about in certain weather conditions but were no worse than anywhere else in highland Scotland, not a great problem.
There was what looked like a great children's play area - but we are sadly a bit old to try it out.
Outside the camp the 'Green Welly' shop is just up the road and handy for things you might have forgotten, and useful, but NOT cheap for groceries.
We didn't use the pub or chip shop but noted their presence. There are no big supermarkets for miles (Oban, Fort William) but there is a smaller one in Crianlarich - only 5 miles away. However getting away from it all is what it's all about isn't it?

The Pine Trees Leisure Park was very welcoming, clean and accessible.
We stayed for 4 nights, the first 3 nights in our tent and then in a luxury hut, great: TV, toaster, microwave, heater. The weather was extreme, 8-12 degrees at best during the day and snow and lows of -8 degrees (or more) at night (thus the retreat the the luxury hut).
The toilet block has a code and is close to the tents and most of the huts, some huts are about 1 minute walk away, pot wash is in the same area. The facilities are new and kept clean. Microwave is free and there is a chocolate machine, which is always helpful!
There are free poop bags tied to fences to help with dogs and to be a responsible person. Also plenty of bins!
The local 'Green welly shop' is ok, pub has great food and welcomes dogs. Some locals reported a drop in the standard of the pub, but we felt it was great to keep warm in and have a game of darts or pool. The chip shop was close, as is everything else, however you probably need to be hungry, very hungry to enjoy the chip shop!
The west highland way walking routes are all around if you were interested, we walked a few which are well signposted and accessible. We also walked to the gold mine, the only active one in Scotland. No gold yet but a nice walk up to a frozen waterfall.
The power in the campsite did trip out if we used our heater on full, which was a problem as it was freezing (really -8 at least). The taps froze solid one day and 2' of snow so we know it was cold, looked great!
We hope to return to this site, although we have a bigger tent now and the pitches were tight in the middle of the site so I hope the one's at the sides are larger. I am sure the owners will be helpful. The cost, good I thought!
There is a road near to the site, trucks go down breaking the speed limit and can cause noise, but you do get used to it.

This was meant to be an overnight stop, we stayed two nights as it is a lovely place.
We have a RV and the pitches are well spaced out with fresh water points very close.
The owners are a lovely couple, the shower blocks are brill
We have a dog and the walks are fab, walked for miles.
The fish & chip shop up the road is excellent.
On leaving we was asked if we enjoyed our stay, my answer, see you next year, we will stay for a week.

On arrival, received a very warm welcome. Got a choice of pitch, which was great.
Cath and Cemeron very helpful, nothing to much trouble.
Toilet block and site grounds immaculate
Location ideal for walking and mountain biking, as site is just across a small stream, from West Highland way, with easy access from site.
At the weekend you can buy filled rolls, at very reasonable price and tasty.
Will defo be back, highly recommend site.

We stopped in at this lovely campsite after driving through Glen Coe. The welcome was warm and the site was beautiful. Really peaceful although there were quite a few folk there. We were free to pick any pitch we wanted and chose one next to the kids adventure playground as we have a 2&5 year olds. They loved it!
The showers and bathrooms were clean and showers were boiling. A bit too hot for our children but they seemed to enjoy it anyway. We even had free wi-fi which was great.
The only downside to the sunshine and lack of wind were the midges, but after a good dosing of Smidge we were all fine.
Defo recommend this site to all types of users.
