We have recently got an old trailer tent, and were meeting up with friends on Skye but not know if the unit was waterproof we decided to test it on the way there. We were sited near an emergency bit of grass should we have needed it. Can't praise the staff enough for helpfulness. As normal the site was spotless as were the toilet blocks/facilities.

This site is a perfect example of how a campsite should be run. The operators couldn't be more helpful, the facilities are kept spotless, and every time we visit, which is frequently, there have been further improvements. WiFi on the site is free and reliable, there is a huge variety of tv channels available (should you want them) by plugging in to the TV socket at each pitch. The village of Tyndrum is only a short stroll away, with pubs, cafes and convenience stores. Couldn't recommend this site too highly

Myself along with four friends, each travelling by motorcycle during our tour of The Highlands, arrived unannounced at the site and were pleased to be offered pitches for the night by the friendly owner.
The pitches themselves were a little waterlogged, although not so much that we couldn't stay dry in our tents.
The adjacent facilities were very clean, modern and well maintained.
I especially appreciated the fact they were heated since as a motorcyclist and with the weather during our journey here being both wet and windy, it's not always easy to dry out.
I was almost tempted to rent one of the reasonably priced and well equipped glam-camping pods we were surrounded by as an alternative, however since this was my penultimate night under canvass, I resisted.
There was a fair stock of goods available to purchase in the site office and consequently, we didn't need to explore the neighbouring area for anything we needed.
Overall a site I'd happily recommend.

We have just returned from our weekend stay at this great site and have booked to return for two weeks in August.
Great customer service from Cathy & Cammy. Absolute pleasure dealing with them from our initial phone call and through to our departure. Special thanks to them for sorting out an O ring for our water connection that had split.
Toilets and showers are spotless and the music is a lovely touch.
There is a good mix of seasonal, tourers, tents and huts on site, so something for everybody. Nice to watch the walkers going along the highland way.
Looking forward to returning.

Stayed here just the one night on the way to Arisaig but will give it a miss next year. The toilet block was warm and clean but the water was only lukewarm and as we were right next to the main road to Glencoe it was very noisy until way past eleven o clock. On the plus side there is a good dog walk.

This site is very well laid out and cared for.
The site and toilets are kept spottlesly clean.
The staff are very helpful and are a mine of information as they know the area well and what is going on.
There is wifi on site which is FREE
In Tyndrum there is a very good fish and chip shop and a hotel with good food.
There is also the green welly which serves good food and also serves btreakfast.
We used this site for a stopover returning from the Isle of Skye to Lancashire but we would definitely use this site to visit the surrounding area

Just back from a weekend stay at Pine Trees. No complaints about the site, well laid out, good size pitches and bonus, water drain and supply at each pitch.
The only negative point with our pitch is it didn't have a tv point. The owners did say they have done most of the pitches but the ones at the bottom of the site will be done this year.
Site has kids play area and is across the river from the West Highland Way.
On one side the site is next to a river on the other side is the main Oban road and as a light sleeper traffic did waken me up in the morning. Cant say it kept me off my sleep at night, but that may be more to do with having a couple of shandys.
A nice well kept site, worth a visit

We stayed here for the first night of our 2 week holiday to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and our first adventure in a hired Motorhome. James, from 'Highdays and Holidays' in Callander, where we hired the Motorhome from recommended this site and booked it for us so we didn't know what to expect but we were highly delighted! The site is spotless and an ideal location for us as we ventured onto Fort William.
The customer service was outstanding and we were allocated a lovely pitch, at the far end of the site by lovely friendly wardens who patrolled the site almost constantly checking everything was OK.
The toilets and shower blocks were spotlessly clean, with flowers and piped music - well impressed!
There is a nice walk along the riverside and the place has a relaxed atmosphere.
We could not fault this site at all and enjoyed the award winning fish and chips at the nearby cafe which allowed us to take our dog in, as does the pub a little further up the road, although we never managed to make it there! Maybe we'll try it next time we visit as I'm sure we will be back!

We planned on stopping here as part of our Scotland tour and actually passed by it on the outbound journey. First time just driving past and it didn't look so good. Didn't like the area and didn't like the look of the setting so on the return leg we were not looking forward to making the stop. All I can say is that I must have been looking at the wrong thing or had an unknown mental breakdown whilst driving past.
Absolutely top notch site. On arrival you are met by a very well kept and maintained entrance that looks inviting. Pulling up at reception is a marked out area for check in. Good touch that. The reception doubles as the shop which had a good range of essentials at a good price. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We couldn't decide which pitch to choose so they said to have a look around, pick one and let them know! As we were driving around looking, one of the staff passed by (he was doing one of his frequent empty the bins runs), stopped reversed back up and asked if everything was alright and could he help. Excellent customer service.
Once we had chosen the pitch we started to get set up. At this point we were again visited by the same chap who was pointing out which of the facilities to use, where to plug things in and even which way to face to get the best out of the sun!
The site itself is nestled in the valley with fantastic views with a small river running down the edge. You are located near the main road but I can honestly say I never noticed it once. Maybe with the site being slightly lower down and the stone walls around the edge this is enough to dampen any road noise. Going through the site is a pleasure in itself. Grass areas all around, ample sized hard standing pitches with grass areas for tents, plenty of bins, water points, disposal points, etc. There are lots of nice little touches which are easily overlooked to start with. Simple things like we saw what appeared as a little random wooden building, looking inviting with flowers planted / hanging around it. On inspection it turned out to be a chem toilet disposal point! Never before have I been drawn to a toilet point.
The bins were similarly disguised. There has been an awful lot of time and thought gone into the site, from layout and appearance, to location and amount of facilities. The toilet and shower block was of a good size and, in keeping with the rest of the site, was kept very clean and tidy. There was a kids play area that although we didn't directly go and look at, did look very inviting for the younger members. Other nice touches included the several midge machines dotted around. In the centre of the main tent area a picnic table in a covered area was available for use. This gave the facility of having a dry area to use for food prep, I. E. Pack up for the day, or simply a way to get out of the rain should there be any.
From the site there is access to many different walks. A short stroll and you arrive directly in Tyndrum which has a pub serving food and drinks (didn't visit), a cafe serving good quality fish n chip style meals, a small shop and the Green Welly stop which has a shop, petrol station, restaurant and tourist shop. The main shop was fine for stocking up on the usual everyday items and not badly priced. Petrol was at a comparable rate to my normal midland prices, but the tourist part I though was very overpriced. We went in to look for something to take home as a momento but struggled to find anything that I considered to be actually Scottish that wasn't 3 times the price (one tea towel for near a tender? Please. ).
If you haven't got bored by now with my scribblings, to sum up, a fantastic site, very well kept and run, very friendly helpful staff, excellent facilities, sensibly priced, with access to good walking. Congratulations to the staff and owners. You should be used as a guide to all the other sites as how to do it.

I've stayed here with both my young kids on various occasion. Our later visit was the Easter weekend. Where to start, First impression are, fantastic location, followed by a very friendly reception. I had to change my original plans and this was no problems. The site itself is stunning, clean, nice layout. The shop is well stocked and very reasonable priced. The river is an added bonus as our kids played here for ages. The showers, toilets and washing facilities are as good as I've seen. Looking forward to our next visit.
