Just back from a long weekend staying at Pine Trees (picked from reading reviews here!)

So glad we stayed here. The drive along the A84/A85 takes you through what must be the best scenery in Scotland. It's a brilliant wee campsite, in a great location, with really good shower and toilet facilities (always perfectly clean). Really friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful, right from checking-in to saying good-bye and leaving. They had arranged an Easter Family fun day as well - Easter Egg hunt, egg decoration and a sports day

Nice wee shop on site for the essential, but a couple of wee shops (including The Green Welly Stop if you need whisky!), a chippy and pub/hotel only 4/5 mins into Tyndrum if you fancy.

The West Highland Way runs just at the back of the campsite, so a great walk through the woods in both directions. Popular spot for panning for gold as well and you can a hobby kit nearby if you fancy a bash at that.

The double pitches might be a wee bit tight, but we had 2 x big family/6-man tents and got them both on the pitch.

One of the best campsites we've stayed at and we'll definitely be back there again this year

Just spent long week end with friends at this site, and can't praise it highly enough, wardens managed to make sure our two units were next to each other, we were allowed to stay way past the check out time allowing us to enjoy another nice walk and our friends to try their luck panning for gold, all be it the site wasn't too busy, this would change in busy season.

The site is immaculate toilet block is spotless with nice music playing in the back ground, small shop on site, wardens were extremely helpful and friendly and we're always near at hand when needed but never intrusive. Surrounding area is lovely with the West Highland Way running just behind the site and Forrest walks nearby, Green Welly shop and Spar are short walk from the site.

All in all very happy campers and will definitely return very soon to Pine Trees

I would like to expand on my earlier review (an overnight) now we have spent a week at this lovely site.

The site: Pretty, tranquil, well looked-after campsite. As well as the touring and tenting pitches there are hikers huts for hire. Site facilities are immaculate. Pitches are big and have ehu/water at pitch. Some pitches have a point for tv aerial (no reception otherwise unless satellite dish). So if tv is important to you request one of these pitches. The reception/shop sells a few basic items but there is a small shop in the village. The wardens are friendly, helpful and hard-working. A small playpark keeps the children amused.

Off site: Pinetrees is a great base for sightseeing and walking, being on the West Highland Way. There are lovely walks direct from site and within a short drive. Two train stations get you to and from Glasgow, Oban and Fort William, all less than an hour and a half journey. Glencoe is less than half an hour by car and the Trossachs less than an hour.

The area is popular with gold panners, you can buy a basic kit locally if you want to try your luck. You can also walk to the old gold mine - there was talk of reopening the mine a few years ago but it hasn't happened yet.

Chip shop/cafe and dog-friendly pub/hotel in Tyndrum, only a short walk from site. And of course the famous Green Welly shop/cafe is worth a look.

We had a lovely week at Pinetrees. We plan to return.

 This site was spot on.

It was peaceful, friendly and well looked after with good facilities and big pitches.

The kids loved playing in the play area and built a dam in the burn.

A great stay, wish we'd stopped longer. Will definitely go back if we come up again and will recommend to friends and family.

We were in a caravan but camping pitches nicely laid out with a covered bench in the middle and some lovely huts available for hire.

Just had a brilliant stay at this lovely site. Very friendly welcome which continued throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The toilet block was very clean, showers were lovely and warm. The pitches weren't too close together and fully serviced with TV points too. The West Highland way running alongside the site was handy for walking the dogs and for an alternative way of getting to the village if you didn't want to walk along the road. Down the road the Green welly stop had a petrol station with shop for supplies, restaurant and gifts or there was another local shop next to it. Also down the road was a cafe which was quite high in price but we tried the chips and they were nice and very filling portions, and a tourist information centre with loads of info on places to go. Would definitely recommend this site.

Used this site as a stopover en-route to Skye but also because we wanted to try it out. A lovely site, friendly wardens and spotless facilities. This site is also popular with walkers and backpackers doing the West Highland Way.

Good walks from site and you can try your hand at gold panning - we watched a couple trying their luck and apparently they have had some finds over the years. There is also a small playpark for children.

We saw enough to decide we will use this site for actual breaks, especially since it is only a cople of ours from home.

We needed a site for a quick overnight stop on our way home from a visit to the West Coast of Scotland and this seemed to fit the bill.

We're not normally attracted by this kind of formally laid out 'leisure park' type site; preferring something a bit more natural, but if that's what floats your boat then I doubt you will find much better than this one.

We were warmly welcomed by the relief wardens, who were just lovely, given a map of the site and told we could choose any pitch we liked. The pitches for caravans and motorhomes are hard standings, separated by grassy areas and we chose one not far from the toilet/shower block, for which, incidentally you are given a code for a security lock on the door.

I don't think I've ever seen such immaculate facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh, even at the end of the day, and the heated washroom was very welcome on quite a cold day for late June.

Shame the same can't be said for the local pub a few minutes up the road where we strolled for an early evening drink. It lacked any character whatsoever and whilst I'm not much of a beer drinker so clearly no expert, my half pint of lager and lime was so weak and flat I may as well have drunk water. My OH, on the other hand, enjoyed his pint of Deuchars.

We had picked up a few provisions at the local mini-market but there were also some basics on sale in the campsite shop.

Even though we belatedly realised we had pitched near to the main road we weren't bothered by traffic noise and got a good night's sleep. In the morning I was surprised to find I had the shower block completely to myself at around 8. 30am.

I was expecting to be charged £22 for the night, including EHU, however we were only charged £18 because we were in a small campervan. There is also free wi-fi access included.

Overall an excellent site which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We stayed here for a week. The wardens go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Its a really lovely site. All pitches are fully serviced, its a was a joy to stay there. The site is well laid out, with ample space between pitches, the toilet blocks are immaculate as is the rest of the site.

The village has a few shops, petrol station a pub and a few cafes. The shops are ok for essentials, but if you need a bigger shop Oban is the nearest, with Tesco and Lidl.

This is a site you want to go back to and we will.

Stopped here for 1 night on our way back home, we hadn't planned it but the site looked nice as we passed it on our way up to Fort William.

Well, what can I say? what a great place, we were greeted by one of the Owners who was very friendly and helpful, we chose our pitches (we were travelling with relatives) and sat back to enjoy the scenery.

The site is very well kept, the toilet/shower block spotlessly clean and very pretty.

The site caters for everyone from the lone walker (hiker pods) to tents to caravans and motorhomes. There is a laundry room with a vending machine for tea, coffee, soup etc (very hand for the walkers) and a dish washing area.

Located on the main A82 you would expect it to be very noisy but as the site is in a bit of a dip and surrounded by lovely trees, it wasn't too bad.

We would recommend this site to anyone and really wish we could have stayed longer.

We used the site for a short notice one night stop over on the way back south at the end of half term. This is an immaculate site where everything is ordered and the facilities are very modern and very clean (campers need a code to gain entry). The owners have thought of everything and were very accommodating. The free Wifi was a real bonus for us!

The surroundings are great: there are mountain views from the site and the site is on the Highland Way; its wide path was great for the children to cycle on.

The site is very open (there are no borders between pitches), this makes for ease of access but means that some campers walk on other campers pitches.

The 'Green Welly' shop in the village is well worth a visit!
