We are just back from a last minute August bank holiday mini break. Owing to the Midge Forecast we opted to rent a 2 person Hikers hut rather than pitch our tent up in the midges. £35 per night for two of us & a dog. The site is spotless & well run, plenty of space in between the huts, and ample inside.
The hut has two single beds, a heater & a kettle with mains electricity included. Site has a basic shop, playground, laundry, pot wash & toilet / shower block, again all well kept. Tyndrum has a dog friendly pub & also a dog friendly cafe both selling good food, it also has a couple of well stocked shops.
Public transport links are excellent with both train & bus links in the village. We would highly recommend this site & would use it if we were in the area again.

Great site with excellent facilities. Very friendly owners. A barrier to prevent late night entry/early morning exit might be beneficial as many users of the site on our visit seemed to think 3am was an acceptable time to be lapping the site in a campervan following a late/early entry and 5am was a decent time to be packing their Saab convertible (2 door) and somehow managing about 20 door slams in half an hour before speeding off somewhere at 5:30am!
In no way is this a criticism of the site, nor the owners, more a comment on the type of people who use this site (maybe could be a bit firmer with rules?). Great walks direct from your pitch and amazing wildlife. Jays feeding from birdtables!

Just returned from pine trees having passed this site so many times over the years we decided to actually stop and see the site.
Boy what we have been missing what a wonderful site so clean and tidy with everything you could need at hand, all fully serviced pitches with room so you are not on top of each other,
Ideal for anyone looking for a base visit the area with so much within an hour of the site perfect
We will definitely be back

Really well presented campsite in a handy location. The only reason why it doesn't get 10/10 for location is its closeness to the A82. Good walks (dog or serious) straight from the site.
Access to two railway lines/stations -- 'Upper' to Mallaig, Fort William and Glasgow; 'Lower' to Fort William and Oban.
We could only stay one night, but the quality of the site, the friendliness of the staff, the walks and railways make it well worth considering for a longer stay.

A great site well located for the local hills, West Highland Way and train station. Whilst very close to the A82 the road traffic is easily compensated for by the scenery from your pitch, good clean modern facilities and friendly site managers. A relative bargain at £20 for a VW campervan

One night in a two bed hiker hut to get out of the rain. Very warm with heater, kettle and electric sockets.
Site is immaculate. Stayed her a few times previously and it has always been clean and well maintained. Facilities were warm and spotless.
Customer service is really good - raised one relatively minor issue and it was dealt with very well.
Well stocked shop on site.
Hiker huts are circled around a small undercover seating/eating area. Pub, Green Welly, café and mini-mart just up the road,
The site is near the main road but I never found traffic noise to be intrusive.

Came for one night, stayed for seven! Fabulous location, stunning mountain backdrop and a burn running through the site, and on the West Highland Way so walks from the doorstep. On the A82, easy distance of Trossachs, Oban, Fort William, Inveraray, Glen Coe, and much more. Coupled with easy walking distance to excellent eating places, general stores, bus and train links, the location for us really couldn't be bettered.
The whole site is immaculate;we stayed right at the end of the season when it could be forgiven got looking tired in places, but all was pristine with large spacious pitches.
Warm friendly team, always helpful and on hand if required.
Facilities perfect for us, WiFi best we've experienced on a site, and showers warm and spotless.
Would recommend without hesitation.

Arrived on the off chance of a space for the night.
Very friendl and helpful at reception, offered choices of pitches.
Well serviced pitch water, electric and TV Aries service at each pitch.
Very well maintained site, tidy and spacious, good amenities throughout site.
Very quiet site even though appeared quite full. Very scenic and good road layout.
Well worth spending some time on the site. And using as a base for travelling around Scotland.
Very well recommended site and probably the best we have stayed at so far.

What a little gem.
We stopped at this site on our way home from touring England.
The site is lovely and clean, all the grass is well kept.
We stayed on a fully serviced pitch, it was a good size for a full awning plus car.
Nice little play area in the middle of the park with fencing all the way round, also a football pitch that is situated away behind the reception so its not by the caravans.
Shower block is modern and very clean.
Laundry room is small but very clean with large modern facilities and a coffee machine.
We will definitely stay at this site again.

Its been a couple of years since we last stayed at this site.
Seems the owners have a constant improvement plan in place. All for the good of visitors. Lots of quality work been done.
All pitches have hardstanding, hookup, water, drainage and Tv connection.
Toilet blocks are clean and warm. Dishwash at the back of the facility block. With laundry at the side.
Couple of CDP around the site.
There are fewer tent pitches than our last visit, mostly used by folks doing the West Highland Way using small backpacking tents.
I only saw one family sized tent during our stay. Quite a few small cabins to rent which seemed very popular.
No space is wasted on this site.
Site is very well kept and in an great location for walkers, with the West Highland way path across the stream.
Reasonably stocked shop on site with Mini market at North end of Tyndrum (short walk).
Also filling station with shop, Green welly shop and Hotel/pub next to that.
Real food cafe couple of hundred yards from site entrance, which is very expensive for what you get imo.
Price per night is very good compared with many sites who could learn a lot from Pinetrees standards.
