June 2005 We drove a whole 8 miles to this campsite from home to test-run our lovely new 1979 VW Camper. We had a great welcome from the owner and spent a idyllic evening in the sunshine on this lovely quiet site. Facilities are basic yes, but adequate and very clean. The house on the site does fabulous bacon butties in the morning too - saves on the washing up. We'll be back.

May 2005 Just got back from this site. Just to confirm the other posts - Tescos is 3 miles away (not one) it has 24 hour shopping. You can get a newspaper by going over the main road roundabout into the business park and a sandwich shop sells papers. There are some nice carp in the pond, but also 2 nuisance swans that make fishing the lake a chore.

Sept 2003 What a great little site!
Friendly owners with a helpful and friendly outlook. Facilites as said before are basic and clean. Pitches are roomy and well spaced out. Fishing on site as well (we didn't). No kiddies play area but the field has ample room, failing that the rally field next door.
There are some shops just over the road for milk and stuff.
We will be going back.

Aug/Sept 2003 When we got to the site, there was no one to greet us however a note had been left directing me to where to put the tent. The owner arrived a little later and was very pleasant. I put the tent in the middle of the caravan field - and had an audience while I put the tent up! One of the residents offered me a kettle of hot water when I was part way through putting the tent up which was really nice. The other residents (seemed to be long term mainly) were very friendly.
The site was very clean - basic but everything I needed, even a tumble drier to dry the towels! Hot water was free. Cost per night was very good and if I'd wanted hook-up there were several points free.

aug2003 A basic campsite, spotless toilets with one shower for men and one for the women. No shop, but Tescos about a mile away. Very laid back and friendly with no rules that we heard about. Would we go back again..... yes definately

July 2003 We stayed at this campsite one night as a stopover enroute to the New Forest. We were so impressed by the extremely warm welcome; relaxed attitude, and very good facilities at this family run campsite, that we seriously considered staying on!
We are camping novices and arrived late – the owners were still onsite and their positive friendly attitude permeated throughout the site. The ground was extremely well kept, tents in the centre and caravans with electric hook ups around the edges. The facilities included toilets, hot and cold water, washing-up sinks, launderette and hot showers! All of these facilities were pristine.
It was difficult to drag ourselves away and our son Rory (5 years old) was certainly sorry to go. Nick (one of the owners) and his son Nathan, have made a memorable impression on Rory – and we promised him we would return so he can go on one of Nick’s “treks in the woods”
Finally Rory would like to say a big thank you to Nathan who he considers to be new friend.
