Great site - nice and clean toilets.
However - it was a very busy weekend and there was some intrusive noise from the road - the local residents hairing up and down on a variety of mopeds and motorbikes along with a very loud stereo one evening. As this is marketed as a 'quiet site' this could be a down side - although there is absolutely nothing the owner could do about it.
The Saturday night was very busy on the site and some of the units were pitched a bit tightly together - although ours was fine.
Would use again though.

Just back from another great stay at this site where peace and tranquillity prevail! We only booked last minute well the night before actually, and luckily managed to get in for 3 nights, when we arrived we enquired if we could in fact stay an extra night, the owner was very obliging and fitted us in even though they were almost fully booked! We had a great few days and although it was very busy the toilet block always remained exceptionally clean, compliments to the owner! We will definitely be back !

Yup - Bishops Green is as good as everyone says! 2 fields. One with hook ups, the other for rallies and both well draining.
The owner is very helpful and the charge of £14 a night is very reasonable. The toilet block is immaculate and the overall feeling is of a slower pace of life - great for unwinding. If you want all disco and pools - keep driving!
We eat in the Swan, a couple of miles towards Newbury and it was delicious but a tad pricey. Loads of eateries in Newbury itself though plus the Kennet & Avon canal to walk or cycle. Look forward to returning here.

Second visit to this peaceful site. There were caravan rallies on the adjoining field both weekends we were there but they didn't encroach on any of the facilities.
Matt the Hat previously commented about the price and the owner keeping his SUV topped up as he patrolled the field, I can only say that for this area £14 a night (as it is this year ) is a very reasonable price. As for the 'patrols' the bins won't empty themselves nor will the toilets clean themselves or the grass keep itself short.
Will visit again when next in this area. This site is highly recommended if you enjoy the quiet life

This is our second visit to this camp site, the first being in July when we came down for my son's wedding. The site is lovely, clean and the shower block was brilliant, nice and clean. The owner was really friendly on both visits. The shop owner on the estate was also really nice and friendly. The only down side is that there is no play area for children, but other wise a great, quiet campsite. Top Tip; Site is well drained, but might need heavy duty tent pegs.

Spent 4 nights while visiting family nearby. A lovely peaceful site with very friendly owners.
A great toilet/shower block (free showers)well maintained and cleaned. If you like fishing there is a Trout pond on-site, a fiver a day I think. There is a small village store 2 minutes away and Tesco in Newbury is 2 miles away.
There is a lot to do in the local area with Canals, woods, the famous Greenham Common with it's memorial garden are just some attractions.
A definite one to use again if we are down that way again.
£13 per night for the caravan and two adults

We store our van here but friends have stayed, so thought it was worth reviewing.
This is a small-ish, peaceful site with a small fishing lake adjacent. It is a farm but not 'on' a farm - it is in beautiful Berkshire/Hampshire countryside. Open views across fields, peaceful location - there is a road next to the site but it's not that busy.
The new toilet and shower block is very swish - push buttons on the outside of the showers set a timer for how long you need, LED lighting displays, really attractively done in wood and chrome with handy bits like shower trays etc.
The owners are friendly, and the surroundings beautiful. It's a quiet part of Berkshire without a huge number of attractions locally, but it's a nice little site for a spot of fishing and rambling! Very close to Greenham Common, Newbury town, and open countryside!

This site has two fields, the one on the left was very cramped with caravans and camper vans. Looked too busy for a quiet night away. The field on the right was better but pretty featureless.
The toilet/shower facilities are new and very clean and nice to use - expect they don't supply soap to use if you are washing your hands after the loo!
There is a small lake at the bottom for fishing which was popular.
I didn't find the owner very friendly and he charges £13 per night for two people which I thought was a bit much. Must be because he has to keep his UV topped up with diesel for his regular patrolling of the site!
Give it a go though, I may have caught him on a bad day.

Really lovely relaxing site. Excellent new washing facilities. Pretty location, we loved it.Would recommend it and hope to return some day. This was our first camping experience with 2 young children and it went very well. We stayed for one night but feel that if we stayed longer we would have to go out and about quite a lot as there is nothing specifically for children on the site.

This was our third visit. We keep coming back as we know what we'll get. Quiet site, basic but spotless facilities and very friendly welcome from Nick, the owner.
This time however there was a suprise, the toilet block has been rebuilt and is now 4 star quality.
This is a perfect base for our annual trip to Ferrari Fun Day at Newbury Showground, and we will be back next year. We go fishing on the Saturday, volunteering at the showground on Sunday and relaxing for the rest of the time.
We only cook breakfast on site, as there are good places to eat in Newbury which is about 10 mins away, and there is a Fish and Chip van that visits the site on Tuesday and Friday evenings.
Very highly recommended.
