What a lovely site. Ideally situated 5 minutes drive from Bude- you can actually see the sea from the campsite but the surrounding countryside is beautiful too.
The site is beautifully tended- lovely floral displays, and as soon as a pitch is vacated the mower is there. The bins were emptied frequently and the toilets/showers also cleaned frequently-there was sometimes a small problem with cleanliness of the loos but I think this was due to how busy the site was and the volume of children using the ladies!for which the site can't be blamed. Showers were hot and little or no waiting
Plenty for all the family to do- our children were very happy playing in the playground and games room and riding bikes round the site. They really enjoyed their time here. The pub was handy and tucked away so no noise, we ate out once and the food was standard pub grub but quick service and good value. We also used the takeaway and were similarly impressed.
We will definitely be back- had a lovely time despite iffy weather.

Cannot fault this site in any way. Wife and I spent ten days here in July. This is the first time we have pitched on hard standing and we were not disappointed. The last two nights we had heavy rain but pitched on gravel, it had no effect on us whatsoever. It is an extremely well run site. Staff where very helpful from the time we arrived. Toilets and showers where spotless. Ground staff where about daily cutting grass and clipping hedges. The entire park is kept spotless. There is a well stocked shop with all the essentials and the on site pub is first class with excellent meals. There is an on site takeaway with a wide variety of good value meals. The local town has plenty to offer in the way of shops, pubs and cafes. We will most certainly be returning to this lovely site in the near future.

We stayed at Wooda for 5 nights in peak summer holiday time. This is a very professionally run campsite- from the minute you arrive in reception the staff are friendly, polite and very helpful and this remained the case throughout our stay. Our pitch (24) was at the corner of a smallish field adjacent to the car park. It was sloped but we managed fine and the bonus was that the rain drained away easily. Our field was fairly empty all week but the overflow field was busy so we assumed a lot of people had rejected their booked pitches in favour of the overflow. Anyway, we were pleased as we had loads of room. The only issue with the pitch we had was a couple of late-night caravan arrivals with inconsiderate people yelling and slamming doors in the small hours- other than that it's a very quiet site.
There were plenty of toilets and showers and- a big plus for me- the toilets are roomy with plenty of room for an accompanying 3 year old to come into the cubicle with me. I only had to queue for the shower once, and that was for a few minutes which was no problem. Everything was clean, there were free hairdryers and sockets for straighteners etc. Dishwashing facilities were plentiful with loads of hot water and no queues ever. There is a family bathroom which you can pay to use- £1.50 a day. We didn't bother because the baby changing room has a bath in it which was big enough for our 1 year old and 3 year old to share a bath every evening. Again, we never queued for this.
There is a launderette on site, with a wash costing £3 and the dryers 50p for 10 minutes. Also an iron and ironing board but don't ask me about that, I can't imagine getting an urge to iron when camping! In the launderette there's a freezer for freezing ice blocks and drinks for free. This was a constant source of frustration for me as the freezer was stuffed so full that people were always dumping new blocks into it and not checking the door was closed, so when I returned in the morning everything was soft. Twice in 5 days I spent time unpacking and repacking the freezer so everyone's blocks fitted in, then closing the door and setting the 'fast freeze' button. I was repaid by someone nicking one of my blocks. Anyway, that was a small price to pay for free freezing all week and I can imagine when the site isn't as busy the system works perfectly well.
The site is beautifully maintained and kept spotlessly clean. The bins are always empty, the play area is clean and tidy, you can't fault it at all. We went to the bar one evening and enjoyed the real ale sitting in the courtyard. Our small children loved the woodland walk to find pixies, although we did bump into a lady who was replenishing the pixies as people had pinched them which is a shame.
Bude is lovely and Summerleaze beach is great for children, with a pool as well. The soft play near Morrisons is a godsend for rainy days. We spent a lot of time in Padstow which was an easy drive. We could have easily stayed at Wooda for another week and we can't wait to go back there.

We have just returned from this site and had to share our thoughts on this lovely campsite. From the moment we arrived we felt totally relaxed, we arrived earlier than planned, but this was not a problem to the staff, we were told we could go straight to our pitch, which was wonderful after an 8 hour drive, there is nothing worse than hanging around when all you want to do is settle in.
Every pitch is well marked, some by hedges and others by markings in the grass, but all were of a very good size and very well kept. The site was very busy when we visited, but still did not feel overcrowded.
The facilities on site are fantastic, we had a good laugh playing pitch and putt, golf is definitely not our sport! My husband and son also had a go at Clay Pigeon Shooting, which they both thoroughly enjoyed, both of these activities were very good value. We used both the bar and the takeaway and found the food in both to be very tasty, the bar is very popular and if you are not there just as it opens then you might find it hard to get a table until about 8ish. As others have mentioned the shower/toilet, washing up and launderette are all very good too. My only gripe, if I had to have one, was that I thought it was a shame that the bar did not open earlier, say mid day or 2ish, so that there was somewhere to go for a bite to eat at lunchtime.
Would I go back to this site?? Definitely, we are already planning our trip for next summer.

Have returned from a very nice week away at Wooda and can say I was very impressed. From the start the girls in reception were very polite and helpful.
We arrived early 9am and they checked to see if the pitch was vacant and it was was then told we could go straight on and asked if we wanted the grass cut before we set up, what service.
The toilet / shower block were clean and the water hot, the OH did say that was not always the case in the ladies.
The bar area was nice bit disapointed that dogs were not allowed inside as when it is raining there is nowhere nice to sit. Shop was well stocked did not use the take away so can't comment but it did seem popular.
We found a couple of nice pubs The Bullers Arms Hotel in Marhamchurch and the Brendon Arms, Bude. Nice location great views and will return.

We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday at Wooda Farm and having really enjoyed our time there,I thought we'd share our take on the site with others.
The site itself is immaculately kept and looks very pretty with it's floral displays. We liked the fact that our pitch was bordered with a hedge, although not all pitches were marked this way. I also liked the way tents and caravans weren't segregated as is often the case. Making us campers feel like 2nd class.
The facilities were 2nd to none. The play area, games room, tennis, pitch and putt, woodland walks to find the pixies, take away, courtyard bar, I could go on.
The washing up area was good.Plenty of sinks.
HOwever, we do have to be a bit critical of the cleanliness of the toilets and showers. Considering the site wasn't full- very busy, but not full- we felt it could have been kept cleaner. However, this is in a way down to other campers and caravanners as well, respecting that others use the facilities. But I definitely feel that a daily bigger clean would have helped, as would maybe a squidgy and mop in the shower area.
But the facilities in the toilet/shower blocks were good-just could be cleaner.
Bude is great. We could have spent the full 2 weeks there without venturing elsewhere, but we did visit widemouth bay, port isaac and Tintagel.
Will we return to wooda? Definitely!

Just returned from this excellent site and would recommend to anyone. My 10 year old daughter and 14 year old son enjoyed the facilities(badminton, tennis, pool table, etc) Wireless internet available in caravan too at a small cost. Ideal for rainy days and bored children which was quite often this holiday.
Not much to do around Bude on rainy days unless you travel down to Newquay, a good hours run in car. Our pitch was on grass with electric hook up and although some pitches were a little tight to park, the helpful lads with a tractor were more than happy to help you onto your pitch.
Staff very friendly, shower block cleaned everyday, launderette facilities good. Nearby Clovelly and Port Isaac well worth a visit. Sat on Doc Martins surgery doorstep! If you want a relaxing break with good facilities, this site is ideal.
Beware of Bideford to Bude road, hilly and bendy roads, a little daunting for a relative novice caravanner! Take A30 to Launceston and then up to Bude, much easier which we did on our return journey.

Returned from Wooda last week. Fantastic site. Very clean around park and extremely helpful staff. We used the bar a few times and it was very popular with people having meals. We loved the pitch and putt golf and badminton hall.
I spent 3 sessions on the fishing lake with some other family members and I caught carp in there up to 10lbs. There may be bigger fish in there but I wasn't lucky enough to catch them!
We walked into Bude once then took the car after that as it is quite a hike. In Bude there is plenty of car parking though. The shop on site was ok for forgotten provisions and my kids used the takeaway a few times raving about the pizzas.
Our dog loved the brilliant dog walks around the park and we found the whole area very dog friendly. The toilet blocks were clean and the showers were great with loads of room inside and plenty of hot water. I used the launderette whilst there and found it very reasonable.
Overall a very pleasant stay and would not hesitate to stay at Wooda again if we were holidaying in Bude

Gardens were beautiful and to top that the view was fantastic at least from our pitch. It is on a hill!
Staff in shop and reception friendly but not available 24 hour on site wardens if there was a problem
Pitches large - premier offered privacy others in rows. The hard standing was dirty so we used ground sheets. With all the rain we had we were sitting on a layer of water. The pitches did not drain. In the end we borrow a spade and dug a trench to ease the problem This seemed to work but no staff around when we were trying to sort this out.
High winds because of hill location
Good kids park and facilities - pitch and putt, pet area and walks inc fishing on site. Also other activities to be booked
Takeaway excellent service and food
Toilets - seemed ample. Ours was the older block but all worked ok. Did not always seem as clean as we would have liked
Dog walking field good size - people did not follow dogs on leads rule

Campsites that are a mixture of caravans, tents and motorhomes all in the same areas always seem to have a nice friendly feel to them, and this was the case with Wooda. Situated a couple of miles from the beach at Bude, this is an excellent, well-kept and facility-packed family site.
The staff are very friendly but also pretty low key, and our boys had a ball in the large playground, and on the kite field. We didn't check out the gym etc but I'm sure that they must be up to the same high standard as everything else on site. Loos and showers were also excellent and very clean though we did hear reports of no hot water in the showers at one point (but didn't have this problem ourselves).
We tried the local pub (on site) which was good and served decent enough bar food, and another small playground here added yet more amusement for our kids. Must also note the couple of excellent local real ales in the pub, lovely!
One small downside with Wooda was the bizarre omission of threads on the fresh water taps (at least all the ones we found), ie No ability to hook up a hosepipe. Fine maybe if you're filling a bottle or even an Aquaroll, but a real pain for filling up a motorhome water tank.
In summary though we really liked Wooda. It had way more facilities than we could ever need, and was very well maintained and clean and tidy. Highly recommended.
