Not a lot to add to previous reviews, we had a lovely time over Easter.
Couple of comments just so people are aware:
Some of the fully serviced pitches are a touch on the short side. We were backed right up to the tap, but the hitch was still only barely off the roadway.
There is very little Internet access available unless you pay for wifi access - £1/hour, £4/day or £15/week. I had a great mobile signal but no data, even 2g :-( so do all your research at home/in town.
Not site related, but the Morrisons in town has to be one of the worst in the country. We'll stick to Sainsburys next time we're down.

This is a lovely site. We stay in/around Bude every year and have tried a few other sites but always come back to Wooda. There is a warm welcome and the site is so pretty with all the shrubs etc. We had some torrential rain during our week's stay but our premier pitch was fine with gravel hardstanding.
The shower block is spotless and makes the whole process a real pleasure although I understand that the men's shower cubicles are smaller than the womens.
Our two dogs love Wooda and, although the usual doggy field was closed due to sheep grazing, another field was provided. If I had any moan at all it would be the price we have to pay for our two small dogs but we think the site is worth it.

Very clean and well kept site with good views
Only 2 miles from Bude and bus stop outside main entrance.
Lovely amenities eg bar, take away service, mini golf course and lovely woodland walk
Service in reception very helpful and informative
Lovely hot showers and spotlessly clean toilets, I also liked the fact that a few of the toilet cubicles had mini sinks in for privacy
Will definitely be staying again

We enjoyed our stay at Wooda, although it has taken me a year to post a review.
The staff were excellent across the site.
We pitched our tent in the top camping field (free pitching) it is large and has views out to sea, the showers/toilets were modern clean and never very busy.
The bar/restaurant was very nice and had some charm to it, food was good and had decent range of drinks, there was table tennis next to it so it kept the kids happy, has a courtyard and a nice garden.
A good playground, tractor rides etc, great for the kids and big kids.
The site is pretty, well maintained without looking too over fussy, some nice walks and a nice little lake you can fish on.
A stroll of 20 minutes downhill will get you to Bude, lots of places to eat and drink, beaches, sea pool to swim in and a cheap taxi ride back to the site perfect.

Spent 2 weeks on this site and enjoyed every aspect. The initial booking experience instilled confidence in what we expected. On arrival at reception we were dealt with in a manner which was very amiable and efficient.
Amenities were well kept from the toilet/shower blocks to a well run bar and restaurant. We ate in the bar on numerous occasions and although the choice of menu wasn't huge, all food and service was value and prompt. There is also a take away near the entrance of the site which served a range of fast food which again was of good value and quality
The play area kept our 7 year old girl occupied all holiday and she made plenty of friends.
The site is only approx 1. 5 miles from Bude which can be cycled in 5 mins but beware the hill back which is fairly steep and may take 25 minutes. The site has a good sea view and is well placed for touring North Cornwall/Devon. We would recommend visits to Port Isacc ( home of Doc Martin) Padstow and Boscastle. The Tamar otter sanctuary is also well worth a visit (weather permitting), we spent a full day there and enjoyed a nice lunch in the well presented cafe.
In summary we would thoroughly recommend this site for any period of break or holiday.

Second visit to Wooda and it won't be the last.
Booking was easy & I was able to choose a pitch in advance - handy when you know the site. Plenty of space on our pitch which was also level (Some are on a fair slope).
The site was very quiet considering that we arrived on the day after the bank holiday - the weather had been awful though so that may have explained that.
Facilities are excellent - clean and warm showers / toilets.
The site was being used as part of the Bude Jazz Festival with two concerts held in the sports barn - both were excellent and were packed - mainly by festival goers but many people on site seemed to to advantage as well.
The view is great (and it is windy) but it's a top notch site

Stayed for 2 weeks with our boys aged 8 and 5. Staff extremely friendly and helpful right through from booking process to the last day. Large site with statics, tourers and tents.
With the site being up on a hill overlooking Bude and the sea, I was concerned whether it would be windy, but we had no problems with this. We had a premier pitch, which was great.
Hardstanding with a grassy area to the side and hedges providing a screen from neighbouring units, EHU, water and waste. We were at the bottom of a hill and our pitch became quite flooded during a particularly heavy downpour. However, before we could even head down to reception, wardens were round on their quadbikes inspecting pitches and digging channels to drain away the water and to put down sandbags to prevent any further problems.
The site was busy but not full and even during the busy summer holidays, we never had to queue for showers.
There were two large toilet and shower blocks with a smaller one behind reception - always clean and tidy. Showers free, operated by push button. Lovely and warm with a good flow. Large cubicles with space to hang your clothes without getting wet. Family bathrooms available at a charge, but we did not use this service.
Laundrette facilities - £3. 50 for a 40 min wash and 50p for 10 mins in dryer. Wetsuit wasing point and good washing up facilities also provided. On site shop sold the usual provisions, plus sweets and toys.
You have to get up early for the croissants however! There were also DVD's to hire from the shop - £2. 50 per day. Loads to do on site - children's play areas, nature trail, fishing lake, golf, tennis, indoor badminton and fitness suite, pool, table tennis, tractor and trailer rides, farmyard friends.
The only let down, for me, was that it had no pool - but this is my only minor criticism. Courtyard bar and restaurant a pleasant stroll down the lane. Open 6. 30pm to 11pm. Good homemade food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Quiz night and live entertainment weekly.
Having previously stayed at St Ives and Padstow, we were a little disappointed with Bude itself. It looked a little run down and we got the feeling it was 'yesterdays resort'.
There was a fairly good selection of shops and eating places, although we never actually ate in Bude itself. Sainsbury's was also located very near the town centre, with a Morrisons also nearby. We had a lovely meal at Elements Italian Restaurant near Widemouth bay and we heartily recommend a visit to The Preston Gate pub in Poughill for great food and a friendly welcome.
Booking is essential however, as it is only a very small pub. We visited Summerleaze beach, Sandymouth, Northcott Mouth and Widemouth Bay, all lifeguard covered. Sandymouth and Northcott Mouth were stunning but during our first week, however, high tide was about 3pm, so we were forced to move up onto rocks and pebbles mid afternoon. Lovely places to visit all within an hours driving distance.
We had a yummy Sunday carvery at The Cobweb in Boscastle and we also visited Tintagel and Port Isaac where our boys enjoyed watching the crab and lobster pots being brought in! We also made the trip down to Trevone Bay and Padstow which was about an hours drive away.
So to summarise, this is a 5* family friendly touring park and we would have absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Wooda to family and friends. We hope to return again soon.

We visited over Jubilee weekend and despite the horrendous weather we had a great time!
This is a first class site with first class facilities.
Toilet/shower blocks were immaculately clean with no queues, with lovely hot power showers and place to put your clothes when in the shower.
Takeaway on site was good to add variety (chips!) to one of our meals, which the children thoroughly enjoyed!
The games room area was a great addition especially in the poor weather.
It cleared on our last day so the children were able to use the very well equipped play area.
The mini golf looked excellent but due to the weather we were unable to use.
Would definitely recommend & we will return, hopefully in better weather so we can enjoy all the site has to offer, along with the nearby areas.

Just returned from a few days at Wooda, despite some shocking weather we had a really good time. This is one of the best sites we have ever been to. The facilities were excellent (clean and spacious toilet blocks, a laundry etc) and also made also good use of the existing farm buildings.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is hard to fault this site, the facilities were first class, the takeaway was good value and the food of a decent standard,
The bar had a good atmosphere and the number of activities offered was wide and varied (archery, clay pigoen shooting, quizzes, tennis, pitch and put etc). If only they could control the weather it could have been perfect!

We stayed at Wooda for a short stay of 2 nights just to start the camping year, this site seemed very nice, it was clean and exceptionally quiet. Almost too quiet I think but then again it was early in the year.
The facilities were clean and the shower cubicles large, individual sink cubicles would have been a nice feature as I don't particularly enjoy cleaning my teeth in front of other people, but that's just personal choice.
There did seem to be quite a few things to do on site but for us they were just too far away the site appeared to be separated into two, one for camping and caravanning and then a long walk to the other end of site where the lake, bar etc were located.
We didn't use the bar or any of the facilities and probably wouldn't as I felt they were just too far away, personally I like a camp-site that seems like a campsite, I'm not after club houses or anything rowdy but something a bit more 'awake' than wooda.
One of the problems with the bar etc for us was definitely the distance, it was like walking off site and for us we like to be able to sit and have a drink looking at the camping fields with all the tents and caravans and the hustle and bustle that brings, whilst being able to pop back to the tent if we forgot something. However if I went to the bar here and forgot my purse I would have to go back to the tent and wouldn't bother going back out as it would have probably taken me 10mins each way and for us its just too far.
Our pitch was on a considerable slope which was annoying but this is the case at some campsites and is to be expected to a degree.
Bude is very lovely although not an awful lot to do in Bude itself, however a rowing trip down the canal is highly recommended, we did quite a lot of fishing which was great. Be aware of the tide it is very strong and caught us out on the beach one afternoon.
If you like very quiet sites this is definitely the one for you.
