This was the best site I've ever been at. Spotlessly clean - not a spec of litter - thanks to the tireless work of the staff on this site who were all friendly and helpful and high profile. First campsite I've felt safe enough that I would be happy to return alone. We got a fantastic pitch by the river and enjoyed a walk into Aberfoyle via the cycle route and back through the forest. Dogs loved it and were made to feel welcome too. I thought late check out was a fantastic idea if you woke up and were blessed with good weather and wanted to stay longer. Toilet/Shower facilities extremely clean. No noise after about 10pm and very relaxing place to be. All other campers like minded and cared about their surroundings and respectful of their neighbours. PERFECT!

We have just returned from a short stay at the camp site, the campsite itself is very nice and quiet in the evenings from any road noise. We paid for a premium pitch with hook up.
The facilities on the site were very clean and we even saw a person cleaning the toilets at 11pm. The showers are separate from the toilets and again are spotless, however there are only four showers for the whole site.
There are plenty of lovely walks around the area and we had a pleasent walk through the forest and along the river to Aberfoyle, which only took us about 30 minutes.
There are a couple of dislikes about the site, first the premium pitches, although are very big are in the centre of the campsite surrounded by two access roads, however the non hook up pitches are along the river side where no one can walk around your tent. These seem to be the wrong way around especially when you have paid £44 for two nights.
If you are looking for a quiet, nice, relaxing site, then this may not be the place for you. On our visit there where a lot of children running around the site and in between the tents and cars.
All in all we would revisit the site, however we will ask for a river side pitch which we feel are better value for money.

The weather was lovely but the midges were bad, lots of citronella and midgy repellent needed !
It was mostly nice and quiet when we were there. The only criticism was the coded entry to the ladies toilet block could be quite temperamental.
The dog walking areas were very good but no dog bins anywhere in sight.
The warden was very helpful and sited our camper even offering to help put it up. All in all it is a great site and we would definitely return.

I recently visited this site through a recommendation from a friend who's been with his family. The site was perfect. Staff really friendly at all times. Pitched overlooking the river which beautiful and peaceful. Took my dog and have beautiful nature trial to walk him. Shower blocks and toilets were always clean and tidy. Great activites if you do have kids. Even have a mobile curry van on a Saturday night. Woudl recommend this park to anyone looking to get away, relax and just have disappear.

Spent four nights at Cobleland from the 3rd of July in the our new tent Vango Colorado 600 DLX and we had a premium pitch with the electric hook up
The staff were friendly and very helpful
The toilet blocks were very clean and always had plenty of hot water in the shower rooms of which there are eight
There is a small children's playpark and Ranger led activities for a small fee that our kids didn't use this time as we had other things planned to do
At the far end of the site it leads to the forest with plenty of walk / cycle paths to follow although if you do the longer walk make sure you take waterproofs as the weather can change pretty quickly
One thing I would mention only because on the Sunday night I think we had about a weeks worth of rain in a couple of hours was to watch out for pitch 1 and pitch 44 which we had as it started to flood quite bad there very thankful we had a fully sewn in ground sheet as the people in pitch one only had a plastic sheet which ended up soaking but they were helped by the staff to move there tent
When we were folding the tent to put it away it was pretty muddy underneath so much so that a couple of small frogs were staying there this kept the youngest amused as we cleaned the groundsheet and packed up
Great site and one I will revisit in the future

My Husband, son (age 5) and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at Cobleland. It's a fantastic site! We had EHU althouth there was pitches available with it.
The staff were great, really helpful. There's a Park ranger on site to keep the kids happy, they have drawing competitions, a chocolate hunt, bug making etc for a small fee. There's a small shop on site that sells basic items that you may have forgotten (like us!). Fishing is free at the site too.
The toilet block and shower areas were spotless.
There's plenty of lovely forest walks to go on, we walked into Aberfoyle (30 min walk) and on the way back had a paddle in the river Forth.
It's a really nice quiet camp site, suited to families with kids and couples. The site was completely quiet by 11pm on Saturday night.
We had a fab break and we will definitley return!

We had a lovely weekend and had a really good Pitch. We opted for a grass pitch with electric hook-up and these pitches are in the middle of the site where non electric pitches are near the river.
The site was quite busy but it was quite quiet after 11pm at night.
The facilities were good (very new) but my only negative comment would be not enough showers for the size of site.
The grass pitches do seem to have the best positions even for Caravans.
We will be coming back to the site and its worth purchasing a forest experience card, we have had 2, 2 night stays and almost got our money back on it.

This is our second visit to Cobleland but our first visit with a caravan! On arrival we were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and showed us where our site was. I must admit that when we got to our hard standing site we weren’t overly impressed. The majority of vans there were seasonal and empty. Although the area had been cut out of the trees there wasn’t any grass or views from our pitch so it did feel a bit like being in a caravan storage park. It was not completely level so needed a levelling chock but only by a minor amount. Admittedly though, as the week went this was quite advantageous, as when it got extremely busy over the weekend we were in a peaceful area, right next to the facilities. Recycling is available at this site also.
The showers and toilet blocks are lovely, requiring a keycode to access the toilets. These were very clean and well stocked. My only minor complaint would be the sinks – there were 7 sinks available but only one soap dispenser and hand dryer! Minor point but a couple of extra dryers and soaps would have been nice. The showers were lovely, hot and clean but the one that I always used really didn’t stay on very long, about 4 seconds per press so if you’ve got a choice check how long it last for!
The site overall is amazing. We bought our bikes and cycled into Aberfoyle every morning and evening. It’s a completely flat track from just outside the campsite and took us around 10 – 15 minutes but was a very pleasant way of travelling there for our evening pint and to pick up lunch. There’s a number of secure bike racks so you can easily lock your cycles up outside the Tourist Information Centre. There’s a reasonable sized Co Op in Aberfoyle which has everything you need. If you are willing to travel a bit further, Stirling is around 20 miles away and has a large Tesco and Sainsburys. There are a number of pubs in Aberfoyle, we always went to The Forth Inn, which has a large outside area and served a few real ales which were rather tasty! There is a small bakery / butchers too which did a very nice selection of meat, pasties and sandwiches. There were a couple of other bars and hotels which we didn’t try but all looked very nice.
Just direct from the site is a beautiful walk leading along a river through the woods. There are a few circular walks you can do along this route, perfect on an evening for tiring out children and dogs!
This site is wonderful. We definitely will be returning. It’s in a wonderful position, with walks and tracks direct from the site. Minor complaint would be the quality of the hard standing area, but this was completely outweighed by the peacefulness and benefits that the site has to offer.

Fantastic site.
Went for a long weekend with OH and Kids (6&3). The site was clean and well maintained.
When I arrive I was given a choice of HS or grass and being new to caravanning and not quite got the hang of putting the van on a pitch I opted for the easier to access grass. A man from the site helped me put it in place and job done.
The site is situated perfectly in amongst the woodland and the river forth, and has some lovely walks through the forest. About 30 mins walk from the site is Aberfoyle which has a small selection of pubs and restaurants and a Coop.
The toilets and shower were kept clean all day and there were enough of them.
There is a ranger that comes to site at various times during the week and this provides some entertainment for the kids. There was a young explorer session which taught them about insects and stuff, and took them into parts of the forest exploring with jars and nets. On the Sunday there was a 3 hour crafts session making bird feeders and painting stones, etc.
The only thing that I would say that was lacking on this site was some more children playpark toys. There was a climbing frame and some swings, but maybe a slide and a see-saw would not go a miss. Of course if you don't have kids them it is perfect.
This is perfect base for exploring a wonderful region of Scotland.
Maybe take some midgy spray.
