Nice site in lovely area, only thing that was a put off was the add on charges for silly things, ie £3.50 added on each night for dogs. Don't get me wrong the site and staff are nice but these little niggles put us off
Also nice walks in the area and fishing.

The fantastic weather helped but Lesley and Graeme remembered us from last year which was a nice touch. This campsite is perfect. Seems to attract nice like-minded people and the staff have a good balance between too strict and not strict enough.
There was no noise on the site after 11 and before hand people were well behaved but having a good time. My dogs occasionally barked at passers by but I was not made to feel awkward about this as they were for the most part well behaved.
A stunning location, spotless facilities and lovely walks. Only campsite I've been to that I would camp alone at and where I feel my dogs are welcome. Can't wait to return to this wee haven. Love it. Staff deserve 11 out of 10

This is the best site we have ever stayed at. The facilities were clean and tidy and the staff were more than will to help. We stayed for a week and found the peace and quiet well worth the 7 hour drive.
There were lots of walks directly from the site so no need to use the car, and Aberfoyle is only a short walk away where there is a co-operative store for any extras you may need.
The dusk watch walk is a must. Rangers are very knowledgeable about their area and keen to pass their knowledge onto guests.
Only minor downside was the site did get busier on Friday/Saturday night and there were a few campers who stayed up until late. However, this would not put me off staying again.

A Great site, very peaceful with excellent facilities, which were spotless, entry code system a bit of a pain when you need to go to the toilet in a hurry. The showers were hot and clean, only 4 so may be a bit of a wait at peak times. Always plenty of hot water at the dish washing area.
There were some organised activities for children, which looked good but our children were a little too young to try them.
A beautiful setting on the banks of the river, with some lovely forest walks. Will definitely visit this site again.

Initially booked for 2 nights at Cobleland but enjoyed it so much we stayed for 7 nights!
Wardens Graeme and Lesley gave us a friendly welcome and were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.
The toilet and showers were always clean and tidy. The site, set on the banks of the River Forth and close to Aberfoyle is ideally situated for many picturesque drives or walks in the forest. It is worth visiting the David Marshall Centre situated just above Aberfoyle (a few minutes drive from the site) as an introduction to the area.
We hope to return soon!

This site is very good site shower block very clean and tidy only problem was when its busy you have to queue as there isn't enough
Very peaceful at night
There does seem to be a problem with the drainage we had two very nice dry days but then we had torrential rain and we had to pack up as the water was running under our tent but apart from the rain which is unavoidable it was a very nice site and would use this site again

Just returned from a two night stay at Cobleland had a great time. The setting is brilliant right next to the river. The staff were really good with our two girls (aged nine and four) taking time to talk to them. The facilities are really nice with loads of hot water, the only downside was the coded door locks on the toilet block which could be a bit temperamental. This site is in a beautiful spot right on the banks of the river forth and makes for a peaceful relaxing stay.the path from the campsite to Aberfoyle is ideal for walking or cycling as it is flat. It only takes 10 to 15 mins to Aberfoyle. This site is great for families with plenty to do i.e. The ranger activities play park and the forest walks.cannot wait to go back! The stay was made even better because we met some new camping buddies (gordon, jackie.david, emma, and wee gordon)the camping virgins what a scream!.

I visited Cobleland for 3 nights and have just returned.
Its a lovely little site, it was great to go for long walks in the forest when it was nice and sunny. The toilets and showers were spotless, as was the campsite itself.
This campsite is good for a relaxing weekend away but if you want the true camping experience then I wouldn't recommend going here.

Had a 2 night stay at Cobleland. It's a good sight we had EHU. We have an 8 man tent but they seemed surprised that it was so big (even although we made sure that they knew this when we booked) so If staying here please ensure that they are made fully aware of tent size as it could be a problem on some of their EHU pitches. The site is on a hillside, it is on different levels (although all of the pitches are flat). Tents are on the first level which is grass, some of the pitches had a lot of water on them but you could see that work was being done to improve drainage. The upper levels are gravel, so not suitable for tents, however, this site has a connection with Eurocamp and there are some pre erected tents on site.
There are lots of walks marked out as site is in a forest park so great if you have a dog.
Would certainly return (We stay near Glasgow so it is only 30 minutes drive to get here).
Fishing is free and there's a small shop. Even although the site was busy it was quite quiet at night (except for the sound of snoring from other tents(LOL).
The toilet block and shower areas are separate but were both spotless.

Absolutely fabulous site! Our first camping trip. We arrived at 830 pm rang reception and immediately were met by friendly staff. We were shown round the site and advised where not to pitch as rain was due that night. Told that we could always move in the morning as people were leaving and they would help us move.
Facilities were spotless, brilliant showers with endless hot water, 3 washing up sinks that had good deep sinks and bins available, toilets were accessed with a code and were always clean fresh and well stocked. The laundry was always busy and the dryer was a bit rubbish took at least 2 goes to get anything dry.
On site shop was adequate, had all the basics and Aberfoyle was very close by anyway.
They had games to hire which was a bonus and bike hire was well used.
Childrens playground was lovely although the kids used to get together there and then go off playing hide and seek or cricket most of the time. Ranger activities were really great and helped children to learn about the beautiful surroundings.
Mark or one of the team patrolled the site regularly, having a chat and making sure all was ok.
Callander and Aberfoyle are lovely places to visit and both close by. Go to the Port of Menteith, just down the road and visit Inchmahome Priory, a small boat ride across the Lake takes you to the most beautiful ruined priory, so peaceful and you can see Osprey diving on the way over.
All in all Highly recommend this place for a family trip.
