Just returned from a weekend here, we used it as a base to visit Waddington airshow and it was a very pleasant location. The toilet & shower blocks very clean and modern although one morning the showers were cold and the next morning were wiping hot (to hot!). There seemed to be a major jet ski event on so the site was extremely busy with motorhomes, big trailers etc. One serious negative was the fact that a bunch of teenagers (4 boys & 2 girls) came for one night and stayed in a small tent about 50 yards from us, there was a lot of noise and foul language till gone 2am (and started again about 7am). They left no end of beer bottles and cans strewn around the place. There were broken bottles and cans in the toilet block one morning too. One of the cleaners came in early one morning complaining about the disgusting state of the toilets (excrement everywhere) although I don't know if it was youngsters already mentioned that were responsible.
This is a beautiful location and if they want to keep the site looking beautiful and attracting the right sort of camper they need to clamp down on letting certain people camp there in my opinion.

We went in the last week of May, the weather was hit and miss but I'm not here to review that. The site has had a large revamp since I was there in 2004, in fact the toilet block is brand new and the old one is long gone ! The club house has been revamped totally inside people who visited the place before this was done will recall the old one, fear not folks this new one is like a Hotel. The staff are friendly, but it is a luck of the draw sadly. There have been some modest improvements also, loads loads of new tree's planted. We will go back here again

Just returned from a lovely weekend here. The place has just been refurbished. The toilets are very smart! The club has entertainment Friday Saturday and Sunday, and there is a very posh upstairs lounge with leather sofas and a lovely view of the lake. I would recommend having a pitch not too near the road though as they are building log cabins further along and the vehicles start coming past at 7am. This did,nt bother us though as we are always awake early! We will certainly stay here again.

Spent one night on Bank Holiday weekend. Park was fine, pitch very good- reasonably close to toilets etc. Water sports activities on site were excellent fun for children and adults. Main complaint would be sanitary facilities. The toilets were blocked for most of our stay and were not cleaned regularly enough given that it was Bank Holiday!

August 2004 Further to my previous review, we did, indeed return, when collecting our caravan from its annual service next door. We stayed over (and just beyond) the August bank holiday weekend.
We found the site changed somewhat in the year, and seemingly not for the better. The facilities seemed to have deteriorated, or vanished (the children's play areas being fenced off and / or closed), and there seemed to be a general sense of neglect about the place.
We arrived on Saturday, and the toilet block was not cleaned between our arrival and Monday afternoon. The site was absolutely packed over the Bank Holiday, although it transformed into a ghost town by Monday afternoon!
One other change was that some of the statics on site, the ones alongside the touring field, seemed to be used by local agricultural workers, who were collected and dropped off by minibus at all hours.
I don't think that we will go a third time.

July 2003 This was our very first experience of touring caravanning - having collected our caravan new from Vantage Caravans next door to this site!
We liked the site - spacious, good range of facilities, easy walk to Tattershall Castle (NT), village and collegiate church, clean toilets (free showers).
Unlike previous poster, we liked the children's play areas (indoor and outdoor) - perhaps our children's ages were better suited to them.
Our only concern was caused by the ducks and geese that wandered the site, and by the droppings that were consequently all over the grass.
We would certainly go back to the site (perhaps when our caravan is next serviced, next door, we might make a weekend of it).

2002 when i visited the site last summer the main reason we booked was for the jet ski hire. when we arrived the jet ski hire was not available, a problem with the insurance was given as the reason. another thing to note when thinking of using this site is the noise of the private jet skis and speed boats this is not a site for anyone wanting peace and tranquility

March 2003 Not a bad site, quite spacious. A little dissapointed with the childrens play area as noit a lot there and very small. But a nice clean site with plenty of free showers and toilets. A nice walk into Tattershall about 10-15 minutes i would say. Might be better during peak season when there are more people about.
