Just spent 2 weeks on a Super Pitch & had a fabulous time! I had read some bad reviews so was quite worried before we got there, but I was pleased with our pitch and the lady who worked in the leisure reception was very helpful & friendly.
There are so many walks and lovely views and lots to do for the kids. Being the school holidays it was very busy but the staff seemed to handle everything as well as they could.
The only negatives I would say was the open air cinema was cancelled twice, the bugs come out at night and the main bar could do with being bigger and a spruce up!
Would definitely recommend to families.

Just returned from from this site and its a joke. Tents, camper vans, caravans crammed in like sardines. Showers were filthy every day, nowhere to hang your clothes they got soaked every time you had a shower, all the showers were at top of site with none at the bottom end of site, and of of the shower blocks was a porto cabin. The club was small and as for the entertainment was same two people singing every night. The noise at night was terrible with people talking and shouting till 2 & 3 in the morning. I'm not a boring person by any means and I'm not against people having a good time on holiday, but these people had no respect of other people's need for sleep every night. The bar staff were serving teenagers who might have been 18, but the teenagers being served were then taking pitchers of beer outside to younger teenagers about 14 or 15 who were outside, adults couldn't get near the bar to get served for younger people pushing their way in to their juice. Last thing is the over haed noise from the RAF airfield next door, every hour from 9am till 7 or 8PM.
We were booked for 7 days and left after 4 days

I first booked this before I read the reviews, most of them were dreadful. I basically went on price, it was very cheap. Then I read the reviews. As I said, most were very poor and I was dreading going to be honest.
However, when we arrived I was very surprised, it was a lovely setting with plenty to keep the kids occupied.
Ok, the typhoon jets are noisy and fly over frequently, however, you very quickly stop listening for them after a short time. We took advantage of the jets and walked to the near by viewing area at raf conningsby. Kids loved it.
Tattershall lakes is a busy site with lots to do and plenty of lovely walks. Don't be put off by some of the bad reviews we had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate in returning. My only criticism with this site and the main reason I havent been back yet is the prices have shot up.
End of July cost us 120 for the week, this year its doubled. Is the increase worth it? I think given there's so much for the kids I would say yes, it is

I can't fault this site. It's in a beautiful setting, has loads of activities for the kids, and is great for anyone to wind down, or for the most adventurous.
The staff on site couldn't be more helpful, and the touring warden in particular deserves a special mention.
We had 2 very noisy tents next to us and after enduring the Saturday night shenanigans until 1am, a text message to park security at 11. 45 on Sunday night saw an immediate response and the noise stopped.
On top of all that the site is right next to RAF Coningsby where the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight are based and you have Spitfires, Hurricanes, and the Lancaster bomber giving impromptu displays.
The RAF base is also home to the Typhoon fighter jets so stay away if you don't like the sound of jets coming and going!
All in all this is an excellent site, and we have had an excellent holiday. I would highly recommend this site to anyone :-D

Just returned from 4 nights at Tatershall lakes, very good value at £47 including electric hook up, the shower block was great, one of the best we have been to, in fact it is a very good site all round.
The only down side was it says on here 100 pitches! I think there was about 200 pitched up on the friday & sat night we were there & people seem to pitch where ever they like. Also as has been said the ground was waterlogged, there needs to be some levelling done here as you end up with ponds forming & extra drainage is needed!
More hardstanding pitches required to, so much more could be made of the touring site & the 'quite & peaceful' area was not even mentioned to us & a site this size needs a touring warden (or 2) living on site to make sure that people leave spaces when setting up.
All in all a good site that needs better managing, I would return.

Have been to Tattershall numerous times over last two years and unfortunately this will be the last time. Bookings mixed up and totally over booked, tent guide ropes crossing over each other in places.
Free for all and a first come first serve basis even though stressed we were in a party and wanted to be reserve spaces. Don't say yes that's fine when booking then say 'go where ever you can fit' when arrive.
The area was always flooded, massive drainage problems. The permanent shower blocks are very good but the portable ones are never hot and were always dirty and never had toilet roll in them.
Outdoor facilities are very good, great for dog walking and if you are into water sports. Although kids only got 20mins in pool they said it was warm, not enough cubicles and had to get dried and dressed outside changing rooms.
Clubhouse was packed couldn't get a seat or to bar so we went back to caravans.
All in all far too many tents and caravans packed into the site, need spaces setting out properly so when you've paid for electric you can find a power point.

We visited site over jubilee bank holiday
Ok weather was terrible but this site has major problems, the drainage is non existent, when we arrived it was a case of find a pitch were you can even though we had booked an electric pitch
There was a huge pond with ducks on which was a pitch so the alarm bells were ringing, when I asked maintenance for a fork to try and clear water they didn't have one,
We had to leave after 2 days even though we had booked for 7 nights, no attempt was made to clear water or relocate us,
On the plus side the bar & pool area were good, we have tried to claim our money back but they don't want to know,
We will not go again & I wouldn't recommend this site.

Have just come back from our 1st time here and what a nice site. 1st impressions were what are we doing here couldn't find the booking-in shed as that is exactly what it is a small shed on the end of a bumpy road. Once we met the site ranger our opinion changed he was nice and friendly showed us to our pitch had a choice off 2 which was nice.
We had a super pitch and it was very good. Whilst setting up we had an air show to watch, good size pitches, we did use the showers and were privileged to have a new set near the caravan, the water was hot and they were clean and tidy, on the down side from the outside they looked like portable loo cabin but they were definitely not on the inside. It was a little waterlogged as other have said in previous reviews but you cant blame the site for that they were clean and tidy.
Loads of walks to do around site. The dog loved it and there was plenty of bins around so you weren't carrying poop bags around. Lots and lots of ducks.
Down side was the noise from coningsby the planes flew out daily which was ok but the night flights were extremely noisy and lasted some nights till midnight but we got used to it.
Will definitely be going back hopefully august if they have space

The best thing about this place is whoever designed the website, making it sound so wonderful. This is not the case. We went for the Jubilee weekend with friends who were arriving the day before us.
When we called to book & pay they said they'd save us 2 pitches together no problem, but after reading other reviews it seemed it was a 'free-for-all' attitude so I called to make sure they were still reserved for us. The answer was a positive no!
The reviews were right, absolute chaos - 4 cars queued up before us as there had been a mix up with bookings apparently. When we finally got to 'our' pitch we had to shoo the ducks out of the pond which had formed in the middle of it before we could pitch.
The drainage around the site was unbelievable. At first glance the lakes looked very pretty despite the miserable weather, but on further inspection the grimness came to light.
The toilet blocks, although quite new were often dirty, out of order, toilet seats hanging off & just plain smelly.
The bins were always overflowing and the staff were grumpy, unhelpful
I had to literally beg to pay for the pedalos one day as the staff on reception couldn't be bothered to deal with me. The on site shop was closed down one day
This site has the promise of something wonderful, if staff & management were changed. We wont be returning.

Just had a long weekend at Tattershall Lakes, found the facilities good (showers/toilets). Foud the pitch layout strange (only had van a year) no individual pitches just marked on the grass which were difficult to see as we arrived at 8. 30pm.
Went to rangers hut next morning to check in and was told that my welcome pack had been given to someone else, and asked to go back later had to go back three time still no welcome pack!
The tourers field (big one) was water logged which made things tough when filling water barrels emptying toilet etc!
Everything around the lake was well looked after which give me the impression that everything is geared up for the watersports gang!
Would I go again? probably yes, I like to give things/people a second chance!
