Overpriced, Overcrowded and under resourced. The warden was never in his hut, the dustbins were overflowing with dog poop bags and in 2 of the 3 toilets the toilet roll holder was off the wall. The units were crammed together.
The positives were there were very nice walks around the lakes and the fishing lake looked pretty good. Dissapointed as its a lot of money per night and the service doesn't match the price.

Just returned from a 4 night break on a fully serviced hard standing pitch. The main positive - it is great value for money in terms of the pitches, the walks around the lakes are superb although you do see some areas of the site that need a bit of tender loving care. The toilets were clean - we did not use the showers as we used the one in the caravan - the site was quieter as well. The outdoor film show was excellent just a shame a number of parents had to talk all the way through the film. The negatives are when we emailed the site for information we realised they do not respond to emails which is very poor, the knowledge of the staff with regards to the surrounding area was poor especially those working in guest services, the prices in the club room for drinks were 4* hotel prices - over priced. To finish more on a positive the alarm clock of the jet planes at 08:00 helps in waking the kids up - great free aeroplane viewing better than most airshows! The surrounding villages are excellent - Woodhall Spa is very picturesque. We will return.

For the price I don't think you can complain really. The site is lovely and we found the staff both friendly and helpful. Yes it was noisy being so close to RAF Cosby but that was a bonus for us watching the aircraft flyover, and it didn't go on late so don't be put off by that!
As other reviewers have stated, the facilities are not sufficient for the amount of pitches which was disappointing. We had to wait ages for the four showers nearest to us and I was told people were complaining the water was cold in another block!
The bar and 'restaurant' were no where big enough to cope and the toilets often ran out of paper (although if kids were supervised there may not have been such a wasted amount strewn over the floor every day!)
There is a lovely restaurant next door called Tattershall Park that became our sanctuary; the food was lovely and the staff were brill.
Would go again as there are some really nice places to visit nearby.

Stayed over Easter so site was busy. Went with a party of us, with 3 vans altogether and had plots next to each other. Wardens were friendly enough although were very busy. New cabin shower blocks were nearest us which were clean although not all had hot water. Loads for the children to do as the staff work hard to entertain them, Easter Egg Hunt and outdoor film were our 5 year old granddaughters highlights.
Some lovely walks around the lakes and the Tattershall Park pub serves lovely food with quite a vast menu. Had a brill long weekend and was disappointed to go home, it made no difference how cold it was, just lovely to be outside again.
Will come back as our granddaughter insists on it!

Ok so it's £6 a night so I think you have to bear that in mind. We had no electric the first night it kept tripping on whole side of campsite ( so a bit cold overnight and no telly. Pitches are awful with half concrete, half rubble, lots mud, etc. Hot showers in portakabin, little rooms were ace with disabled kid. Pool is fantastic as are staff, very friendly and helpful. Lakes are nice for a walk round but bad fishing for us, never caught a thing but that's no ones fault particularly ! Excellent value for money I guess, but some decent pitches and a new access road would go a long way! Enjoyed our 3 nights all in all

What can I say - 49.00 pounds for seven nights with ehu. Well here goes. Got there Saturday morning, seen site, warden gave us a good pitch. The ground was a bit muddy but for October you expect it. The site has got a shop, bit steep on the prices. Saw the new swimming pool, looked ok. Went fishing Monday on the Rudd lake, which was really good compared to two years ago when I blanked all week, must have restocked the lake or something. Tuesday fished on duck lake same thing really good fishing. The only thing which let the campsite down was no hot water in the toilet block all week. But we would go again, oh yes, cannot beat the price for that time of year.

Well just got back from first trip to Tattershall Lakes, the kids loved it feeding the ducks playing on the climing zone. The site is better than I thought it would be not to muddy after all that rain. Bar prices bit over the top and very little hot water not good. I would think it'll be mad in summer as not enough toilets and showers, they should have more, apart from that good time had by all. Will return at some stage

This site promised a great deal but delivered very little, when site was busy the water supply often went off. When it rained heavily, touring/camping field became flooded.
Water skiing is advertised but the site has no usable ski boat, other boats on the lake are all privately owned by ski club members (ski club rents the water) and are not allowed to charge visitors to the site for water skiing etc as their insurance is for private use not commercial (I asked a member and offered to pay which is how I know this).
During weekend site it was very often noisy until well past midnight as the site bar is open until around 1. 00 am and people were making a racket as they staggered back to their vans.
As I was in a static did not need to use the toilet block but a look inside was enough to put me off.

If you don't like a noisy site, then this is not for you!
Located on the end of RAF Coningsby Runway you get Typhoon jets taking off over the site every 10 minutes. Absolutely brilliant if you love to watch them!
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is also based there, and as we were on site over the Bank Holiday, we were treated to the sight of the Lancaster, Spitfires and Hurricanes all weekend and free of charge.
This is an excellent site for Children with lots of activities to occupy them. Activities such as Body Zorbing, Archery, Raft Building, Dinosaur Hunt, Balloon Buddies, Pot Painting etc all priced at £4 per activity. But pay £11 for a four day pass and they are all free. Very popular, so you have to book early.
Kids entertainers were very helpful and friendly, as were all of the staff.
As well as the kids clubs there is water skiing, water bikes, jet skis etc which can all be rented.
Golf course also available and at a price of two-for-one at £7. 50 for 9 holes. Very good value.
Excellent site for cycling around the numerous lakes, as it is very flat.
As stated in some of the other reviews the site suffers from draiange problems, and we were flooded during a particularly heavy downpour. But this has been a very wet summer, so we can not blame the site for that.
The pitch areas should be marked out better, we went last year and all pitches were marked out and you were expected to stay within the lines, this year was free for all, which resulted in a very congested site, with tents and caravans all over.
Shower block has four showers, three washbasins and five cubicles, which is inadequate for the number of people on site. More regular cleaning should also take place as there was often no toilet paper or handwash available.
Swimming pool is modern and clean. Although again could do with being larger due to the size of the site.
Bar area could also do with being larger, as it was always congested.
With regards location Lincoln and Skegness are both about 20-30 miles away, both worth a visit. But overall there is more than enough going on at this site, to not need to go off to find entertainment.
Overall we rate this an excellent site and will be back again.

We have just returned from a week here. Very lucky with the weather so made everything look a lot better. The swimming pool was too small for the size of the site as was the bar area, we only went a couple of times but had to sit outside both times due to it being full. We had two 12 year old girls with us and seemed to be plenty for them to do, our 16 year old didn`t come which was a blessing because I think he might have been bored or it would have cost us a fortune for the jet ski/water skiing, we had a very good pitch and the staff were all friendly enough apart from the jet ski who was very stressed because he was on his own, but seemed to take it out on everyone else, Toilet block was a mess in the mornings but they seemed to try and keep on top of it during the day, but with the amount of people there it wasn`t surprising. Enjoyable holiday would definitely go back, went to lincoln which was a lovely city about 30 miles away, skegness 30 miles and mablethorpe 30 miles away, sherwood forest 40 miles so very central location for beach or city or tourist
