We stayed at Tattershall Lakes Country park for 2 nights.
Our welcome to the park was not organised as we were greeted by the security guard who didn’t have much idea. We were given a welcome pack to the park which was very professional
We have visited the park many times but have always stayed in a static caravan, so this is our first visit to the touring & camping site of Tattershall.
Showers & Toilets
The showers and toilet facilities are new and would be very nice if they had been clean, powerful hot showers, but very dirty. There aren’t enough showers or toilets for the number of tents and caravans on site, however on the weekend we stayed the toilets and showers were really dirty and not just dirty from being used but old cobwebs high up in the showers.
Tattershall would have benefited from leaving mops out so that campers could mop up after themselves which is standard camping etiquette. 2 toilets in the gents were out of order. The showers & toilets are the only facilities we really need when camping and because they were so dirty and not enough this really let the park down for us.
Pitches
There does not appear to be any order to how people are allowed to pitch up. The health and safety elements of staying on Tattershall were scary. Touring caravans were parked within 5 feet of each other. This is the most chaotic touring site we have ever been on. The majority of campers have gas bottles with them and if there had been a fire the whole field would have gone up because of the lack of distance between pitches plus the emergency services wouldn’t have been able to get on the field.
Pool, Shop Bar
We found all other elements of the Tattershall Lakes Country Park brilliant. The club house serves food, is pleasant has good entertainment. Drinks are rather expensive. The new pool & health and beauty spa is immaculate staff are really really helpful. The beauty treatments are on average a third more expensive. If the beauty prices were the standard going rates the treatment rooms would be full.
There is a well stocked little shop on site. We also saw that Tattershall has security patrolling the park which was welcoming to see. There is a children’s park on site, which my niece used all the time.
There is plenty of wild life on the park ducks patrolling the park. Tattershall is in a nice area but all in all we won’t be rushing back.

I visited this campsite on my own with my 12 year old son and his friend for 5 nights as my hubby had to work. Our pitch was huge and right beside the lake with lovely views I thoroughly enjoyed watching the waterskiers.
There were ducks and Geese everywhere which the boys loved and some of the ducks were really tame. The boys are avid fishermen and were not let down by this site. They had their pick of lakes, (the only gripe being that there is no tackle shop on site and the nearest one is a good half hour walk away along a really busy road) but who am I to complain when I paid £5 per night for my pitch.
The showers are immaculate and the water lovely and hot but there is no curtain so you have to make sure that your clothes are kept well out of the way.
The shop is small but well stocked with the essentials and the staff helpful when I asked for a shortcut to the village of Connington. There is a small supermarket in the village of Tattershall (about a 20 min walk away) which was very reasonable. Whilst on the way do have a look around the castle and church which were both lovely.
The bar was really nice although a little expensive but no more than other sites we have stayed and they had some kind of entertainment on most nights and there is a pool and spa under construction due for opening at Whitsun.
There is a nice play area for smaller children with a big wooden climbing frame.
I never once felt insecure being a woman on my own and would definitely stay again in fact we tried to book again for the Easter weekend but they were fully booked. The nights were so peaceful and quiet but one morning I was woken by the geese making a bit of a racket but that's camping for you.
All in all this is a fantastic site and would definitely recommend to anyone. We all really enjoyed it and I came home feeling relaxed and rested I paid £5 per night for my pitch but it was definitely worth £20/25 per night. Fabulous

One of our first trips out beautiful site about 7 lakes the area was clean and very tidy we stayed almost a week plenty to do and being disabled all around the lakes was flat so I could steady away and have little walks. Was pretty quiet in sept would like to have seen more jet skies and water skiers on the lakes entertainment was ok and they have since built an indoor swimming pool. We had a couple of meals at the restaurant which were nice

We decided to chose Tattershall for a weekend in our new tent as my partner spent every weekend there for 10 years when he was a child, and loved every second.
I was slightly dubious as we went for a look round the weekend before we went and it looked quite run down in places.
We arrived quite late on Friday evening, and were directed to the touring field to meet the warden, who discussed with us the pitches available - we chose one close to the lake, away from the play area. We were lucky in one respect as the 6-8 pitches to the left and front of us were waterlogged, so we didn't get too hemmed in, however the site was very very full.
It irked me to find the site shop shut on Saturday morning at 10am, with a note on the door saying 'back in 5 minutes' - we waited 10 minutes, gave up and went back to the tent. 15 minutes later, we went back and the notice was still there and the shop still shut!
We eventually got into the shop and paid over £5 for some cooking oil, bread and a paper!
That evening, we tried the clubhouse, and found the prices in there equally extortionate! The entertainment however was spot on, we had a really good night with the cabaret.
The pitches were level, but a bit close together.
The toilet block was immaculate! It looked brand new and was totally spotless.
We will be going back, its 45 minutes from home and perfectly adequate for a quick weekend away from us.

Good clean campsite with good facilities(the toilets are nice and well taken care of) and plenty to do on site for adults at least and nearby such as a pub just outside the gate and a large village a ten minute walk away with lots of pubs and assorted shops.
There is also Tattershall castle that is nice to walk around. One problem was the extremely early last orders at the bar (10.30), we didn't take any children with us but there didn't seem a lot to do for them other than a fairly small play area but other than that a great campsite, I will definitely be back again

Just returned back from a 2 night camping at Tattershall Lakes, Friday - Sunday.
We entered reception and was advised where to find the Touring Guide man who showed us where we could pitch for the weekend. We had a lovely pitch not to far from the children's playground and the showers and toilet area.
The Ladies Showers and Toilets were brand new, and during the day time was clean, maybe a mat may help at the door so people could wipe their shoes before entering, as the floor did get a little muddy after 9pm.
We went to the Bar in the evening and there was good family entertainment, although I did think the bar prices were a little too high.
There is a small on site shop ideal for those little things thay you have forgotten.
You do get some noise from the planes which go from Conningsby but it was so nice to see the Lancaster so close up and the Dakota and Spitfire.
But we enjoyed it so much there that we have already booked for April next year. Would recommend to my friends.

The touring site is flat & grassy with a variety of pitches from basic with no electric to super pitches. We had a basic pitch which overlooked 1 of the many lakes, what a view to wake up to! Ducks & swans waddle past all the time, they don't seem to mind people.
The toilet block, showers and washing up area were spotless. There are 2 bars, the 1 upstairs was very relaxing with leather furniture, both were clean & tidy. The park itself is well maintained and the staff are friendly.
Walks round the lakes is a must, so beautiful.
There are many places of interest to visit close by, especially the viewing spot at RAF Coningsby, a must. Be warned, jets fly over the site from 8am to 10pm, it didn't bother me but it may some.
It really was a pleasure to stay here and we will definitely be making a return visit.

We have visited this site for a weekend break with friends for many years and have seen it develop into a lovely well organised site.
The site warden is very friendly and helpful. He told us about the improvements which the new management have already been made, all EHU have been rewired, and the ones also planned a leisure complex.
The site offers so much, lovely walks, water sports, fishing, golf, entertainment and friendly staff.
The toilet and shower block were kept both clean and warm, heated at night. The pitches are level and well looked after. The site shop stocked with essentials.
There is noise from the club house but we were pitched away from it so it never bothered us. In the day you also get planes coming over quite low from Coningsby air base, this also produces noise.
My two teenage children love this site and with the added bonus of a pool next year, I'm sure we'll be visiting again. My only worry is that the new management doesn’t spoil what is already a fantastic reasonable priced site. 10/10.

Having recently returned from our first visit to Tattershall Lakes, I must point out that some reviews I have read on this site are very outdated.
The site is now under new ownership, and we had such a great week there camping that we've booked for 2 weeks next year.
The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful.
The toilet/shower blocks were kept clean by the lovely attendant, and had lashings of hot water. The pot wash area and on site laundry were great too.
The coffee shop on site offered a huge variety of lovely grub at affordable prices, with excellent value family specials, and the small shop caters for all your basic needs.
The clubhouse offered a great variety of entertainment for children and adults and the water sports. Well, they were just amazing.
I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for an enjoyable holiday, and by next year there will be the added bonus of a leisure complex with swimming pool, saunas etc. The plans are fantastic.
Well done to all involved with Tattershall, you're doing a great job in turning the place around. Keep up the good work

On arrival I was very impressed with the whole park, it looked clean and well maintained. We got a pitch with views of the lake.
The toilet and shower blocks were very modern and clean with hot water.
My Children (5 & 3) enjoyed the play area, as a family we went on many lovely walks. One of which was to Tattershall Castle which was lovely.
The only down side of this campsite was the level of noise late at night. The club house held a disco and Karaoke until 1am which was very loud, even ear plugs didn't drown the noise out. When the club house shut the music noise was replaced by 'merry campers' been very loud and inconsiderate. This ranged from singing,MP3 players, shouting requests for arm wrestles and engines revving. This went on for around an hour.
I would not return to the park due only to noise level. I feel we may have been unlucky to be so near the club house but security should have been around to keep the noise level low after the club house closed. I think the club house should have closed at 12 and every one asked to keep the noise level low after 12:30.
