We have just had weekend here we wouldn't go again. For how much they charge it needs a lot of time spending on it. The toilets were dirty all weekend. The pitches are so uneven, as luck would have it the site wasn't to busy so hubby could drive on the pitch or we would never have managed. The weeds around the site were as tall as some of the children
The windows for bar part looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. There was a lovely lake where you could sit around, but needed a good swill down before you could sit there, because it attracts swans, geese and ducks and the mess they left was dreadful

Had 5 nights here on this site, and could not have been better, the shower/toilet block which is positioned perfectly was found to be cleaned twice a day, pot washing area also showers always plenty hot water, if a down side music a little loud if your to close to it, that aside the whole very large area clean and tidy. And as there's plenty of room nobody seems to close to you, no marked out pitchs so within reason where you want to go you go.
Great walks round the lakes, we are told on certain weekends when the have skiboat racing its noisy, be warned find out first I guess.
And for all that out of season we paid midweek £7 per night all in, cant be bad.
Try it out. Will go again for sure (out of season)

Arrived at site and told to choose own pitch, plenty of space and lots of green to play on. Showers clean with plenty of hot water. An outdoor soft play area, pedal boats, speed boats, go karts, jet skis and lots of water sports activities. Club house on site, good entertainment and a restaurant pub with a soft play area just 2 mins away. All in all very pleasant definitely would go back.

We arrived on the site early in the morning and our first thoughts were that it was brilliant - lovely new toilet block, plenty of room and beautiful scenery! However, this view did not last. By tea time, the campsite was full to overflowing! Once our car was parked, there was now way that we could get it out all weekend without asking someone else to move!
The shower block was full of litter a lot of the time and was definitely not cleaned regularly enough for the amount of people there! Also, only two of the showers were usable, which was a shame as it was a new block!
However, the actual country park was lovely with wonderful walks!

Well, we went to Tattershall Lakes for the bank holiday and stayed there Fri, Sat and Sun night. It was our first ever time away with our newly purchased caravan and I have got to say that I think Tattershall Lakes was brilliant. We didn't experience any of the trouble that other people have written of. I'm not saying that this doesn't still happen as we saw security telling off drunken teenagers on more than one occasion whilst we were there. I do think that the security may have been stepped up a gear as there were security cameras in the bar and seating area, and on the entrance to the toilets. Perhaps we were just lucky and had a good pitch away from the 18-30 rabble?!? What we really liked about tattershall lakes was that we could take our baby into the bar and have a few drinks on an evening together as a family before going back to the caravan and watching a bit of tv.
The setting of the camp is lovely, the lakes are great and theres always something to do, (even for children). The village nearby is nice and although we didn't try it, the locals say the chippie next to the co-op supermarket is the best chippie around for miles! All in all we had that much of a nice time that we are booking for the May bank holiday also.Wish us luck!

We have just returned from a weekend at Tattershall Lakes Country Park. What a disappointment. The showers were fairly new and lovely and hot when I finely found one that locked. First one the lock didn't work, second one no lock and the third one grate in shower was blocked with hair. One hook in showers to put all clothes and towel on, no shelf or bench so toiletries on the floor. One of the units under the washbasin was off exposing the pipes all weekend. Jeans etc were wet through in one of the sinks, and also in one of the toilet cubicles. That was the ladies. The men's showers my husband and grandson said were smelly and had wet paper thrown all over the walls and floor, all over the weekend. My confirmation letter said no quad bikes yet on arrival quad bikes were being driven between the caravans by young children very fast. The clubhouse was playing loud music until late well after 12pm, and swearing and shouting could be heard until the early hours. We will definitely not be returning to this park, which I feel is such a shame as it is a lovely park or could be if it was patrolled more and wasn't left to it's own devices.

Just returned from our first outing in our self converted Camper van. After reading the reviews I was dubious but these were unfounded. The toilets were clean and warm and we were not kept awake from any other campers. The only thing that was missed was an on site shop. Looking forward to going back later in the year.

Having read the other reviews, we thought that perhaps the other people had experienced noise and Kids because it was during school holidays and peak season. We have just returned from a weekend, or rather a single night.read on The campsite was relatively quiet in terms of number of occupants, the site houses some extremely nice static and park homes However it didn't last. There is a Bar and disco on site and it was quite obviously people camped here so they could enjoy "lots" to drink, to let there kids run riot and couldn't care less about the other occupants. The locals were allowed on site, and wandered in causing trouble, breaking bottles, the language was appalling and the threats they uttered next to your tents, while they thought you were asleep - well lets put it this way, I was not about to stay to find out if they were going to carry them out! We eventually got to sleep around 3am after the locals had finished wheel spinning around the site, and the campers had eventually found their own tents, to be woke up by the kids screaming and playing around the tents. Our tents and vehicles were tested for open doors (i know because I dare not sleep, needed to hear what they were up to) our tent windows opened - you get the drift In terms of the actual campsite, the toilet blocks, showers etc were very good. The scenery cant fault, location - close to the village and castle If you want to let your hair down, hear music til all hours, drink til you cant stand up and land on someone sleeping in their tent, then this is the place for you! Then shout without too much resistance then this is the play. a-la 18-30 tattershall On complaining, it was obviously we werent the only people, and we left the site with a refund for the saturday night that we were not going to stay for! Such a shame as the campsite has alot to offer, perhaps they need security to actually patrol, instead of telling them they cant move from the office! This is purely our views and what we have experienced and have put it into writing to the owners of the campsite.

I wished I had listened to the last 2 comments. Yes the facilities are good – they really are, new toilet block, nice washing area, shower, cleaned regularly and a new launderette. However, the launderette was closed 6pm – 8am due to vandalism and the toilets had to be cleaned regularly as everything imaginable was being flushed down the toilets. The camp is undergoing quite a revamp and could be really good. The entertainment was also very good although the whole area, despite being family entertainment was smoking. There doesn’t seem to be any policing of the site. There is night security but there is no enforcement of any type of mutual respect for other campers. Balls kicked at tents - children having food fights then leaving all the mess inbetween other peoples tents. One group actually set up a birthday party there - great idea we thought until we found out that they had invited all their friends and cars were continuously arriving well into the night. Will definitely NOT be staying here again. In fact the noise was so bad during the night that I drove home with our youngest to sleep and returned in the morning. Chavtastic site.

We have just returned from a weekend from this site. It is a good site with fantastic new facilities and a nice big tourers field which my children 5 & 3 were safe and happy playing. The big downside was the fact that a party of 30+ , 18 year olds were allowed to continue partying with loud music, swearing, fighting and falling into peoples tents, (despite a call security to complain) till 4.30 in the morning! It's a shame because with a few more rules and regs and a bit more clamp down, this could be a no 1 site!
