June 2003 We loved it! We camped in the top field (non electric) where you can pitch where you like; we had loads of space in front of the tent for evening games and the adventure playground was fab for all the children. Friendly owners. Great walk into Charmouth and very convenient for visiting Lyme Regis. Only very very slight drawbacks - the shower floors are so slippery for little people and you pay for ALL children to swim regardless of age. We had a lovely couple of nights and would reccommend without hesitation.

July 2002 We came here for our wedding anniversary We wanted it to be special and it was. A great site in a most wonderful part of the UK and with super staff and facilities. We came in our own tourer but made friends with a family who were staying in a pine lodge. There are also apartments and caravans to hire. We explored the surrounding countryside and beaches - there was so much to see and experience - but we also enjoyed lazy mornings on site, the indoor and outdoor pools and very pleasant evenings in the bar and restaurant. It seems to be a true family site which appeared to provide well organised fun for the children and yet preserve a nice enjoyeable relaxed atmosphere for adults as well.It was clean and tidy and well laid out and the staff could not do enough to help to make our stay memorable. We are visiting again this year and think that we are likely to visit many more times in the future. We can't really find a downside and for the moment at least we have given up holidaying abroad. We would recommend Newlands to anyone - though people with disabilities should perhaps take care to check that the mainly sloping ground is suitable for them. If the management or staff see this review we would like to say a big THANK YOU. We are still together and that holiday helped us at a critical time.

March 2003 Have stayed at Charmouth many times but decided to try this site because our daughter wanted to use their indoor pool. The site is situated on the side of a hill, but the fields have been terraced so the pitches are mainly level. We had the most amazing view from pitching at the top left of the touring field, looking down on Charmouth and Lyme Regis. The facilities are spotless, there is a well stocked shop, and the indoor pool, although small was a hit.(There is a bigger outdoor pool). There is entertainment every friday and saturday night in low season, which would be nightly with a childrens club in high season. There is a takeaway(open)and a restaurant on site. Will be going back later this year.
