We've just come back from studfold farm which was our first time camping. We enjoyed just getting away from it all and relaxing. I found the pitch sizes were nice and big 10X10 meters all with electrics ,nice and flat, the toilet and shower blocks were immaculate with a nice undercover dish washing area also a big field away from the pitches for kids to run about on and play games ect. The farm also has a small shop and how stean gorge and cafe within walking distance. The owner Ian was very nice and informative about local attractions. All in all a very good site that I would recommend, my family didnt want to leave.I would recommend stocking up on food items as the shops at patley bridge (7.5 miles from site) I found to be a little expensive. Also there is no designated dog walking area but there are miles of walks off site. I look forward to visiting studfold farm again and I'd give it 9 out of 10. Try this site im sure you'll love it geo

We`ve just had a really pleasent stay over the bank holiday Weekend at Stud fold farm, It was a bit of a journey to get there with car problems, and then we found out when we got there that our booking had got lost in the post, but they still made room for us and made us feel welcome. The site was clean, and peacefully, & quite flat. Its 8 miles up from Pateley Bridge which is the next main village and has the England oldest sweet shop, which we visited more than once, to get supply`s to come home with. The toilet/shower block was clean with two showers which you may have too wait for in the height of season. They are cleaned everyday, they close it between 10.30 - 12 noon which I think is a bit too early as we had to rush a couple of the mornings for the four of us to get showered etc in time. But a nice & friendly campsite, and would visit again.

Stayed here for 4 nights at Whit Half-Term. What a great site! It's a large field with about 30 pitches all with EHU just up the road from the owners farm. Small shop here for essentials and I do mean small. Large playing field adjacent to pitch area for kids to play on. We had a perimeter pitch which was right next to the stream, very tranquil . Pitches are very spacious (one of the biggest we've been on) Brand new toilet/shower block. Might have been better to have them separate though. Can get a bit smelly at times. Very clean (cleaned daily) Showers spacious with plenty of room. I took my 2 kids for a shower together and there was enough room for the 3 of us. Plenty of hot water. The surrounding area is very very picturesque. Pateley Bridge is nearest village about 10 miles away. Not much there, few shops etc and good play area for kids. Nearest pub we found was Bridge Inn halfway between Lofthouse and Pately Bridge. We visited Malham Cove nr Skipton, about 30 mile away but well worth it. Knaresborough about 15 miles away and Lightwater Valley theme park for kids of all ages in Ripon about 15 miles away. Luckily we had good weather for them all. Small and only negative point was that at the weekend when it became busy the owner opened up the playing field for more tents. Good business for him but it might be an idea when doing this to courdon off an area so kids aren't playing in the middle of the field whilst cars are coming and going. Had to keep checking on my 2. All in all an excellent site and well worth a visit.

100% better now with the brand new toilet/shower block, and the pitches have been made larger, but could do with being marked out to avoid confusion. Owners very helpful. 2 great pubs within walking distance (both called the Crown), excellent food. Try the sirloin steak up at Middlesmoor - with REAL chips ! then walk into the church/graveyard for one of the most fantastic views ever. Great spot if youre into walking, or if you just want to chill out.

This is a lovely family friendly site at the top of unspoiled Nidderdale. The new toilet and shower block are great, making the site perfect for low key but comfortable camping. Friendly owners who strive to maintain a good atmosphere and only book to the site's maximum(31 pitches) capacity.

Great little site in a secluded village. Good for walking (although hilly). A gorge next to the site which attracts visitors. For us personally its a great site for chilling out for the weekend with clean & tidy shower & toilet facilities. There are 2 pubs within walking distance that provides food. Pately bridge nearest town ,about 20 mins drive

It seems to be a tradition in my family that we all use Studfold Farm to break the uninitiated into camping. For 30 years members of my family have used this site and I can honestly say that no one has ever had a complaint. Ok so there is a bit of a walk to the amenities but hey that's camping isn't it? Great peaceful place 7/10

A lovely location with plenty of scope for walking in the surrounding area. The location of the toilet and shower block is a fair walk from the tent/camper van site but the 'in progress' new block should solve this. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and reasonably priced at 10p for just over 2 mins water, and the water pressure was good. Likewise it was 10p for a bowl of hot water for washing up. Don't know about facilties in the surrounding area as didn't leave the site other than to walk.

We love it here, this is a very beautiful part of England. Peace and quiet in abundance. Great pub. Gorge/Ravine/cave to walk through. What I like about the site is all the pitches are placed around the perimeter. Just grass in the centre

June 2005 We only stayed here for one night as we were on our way north. It's a nice rural site. On the main site there are lods of static caravans, however the camping field is quite seperate, across a little bridge from the main site. Great views and level pitches. However the toilets and water are all on the main site - a five minute walk away. Field a bit marshy in rainy conditions. Great walks nearby - we took a stroll to the nice pub at nearby Middlemoor. I should mention that it was also very cheap to camp - I think only £3.50 each per night - well worth it!
