Excellent site, great for quiet getaway apart from the weekend when its manic, but that's great watching all the families enjoying themselves. Come Sunday afternoon all quiet again. Great walks around site. The view from Middlesmoor church is just to die for and the pub serves good food and beer.
How Steen Gorge has to be visited, just a short walk from site but what fun. Its a great base for visiting the Dales. Pateley bridge is a 20 min drive away, petrol station here plus many unique shops. The butchers are great and there is a couple of general stores.
Take a trip to Brimham rocks for a great day out.

Full on good this one. Way up Nidderdale but worth the trip. Nice people, fantastic discovery nature trail number which our kids loved and took a couple of three hours not 10 minutes like many attractions do.
Nice site flat pitches and you can scramble down to the river gorge from your tent. Wouldn't take toddlers down there mind. We walked up the hill to the pub at Middlesmoor to witness where the witch trial I made up and then told my kids about was held. Loos are great clean and all that, Shop is a bit sparse and poxy otherwise it be a winner. Oh we went to Hackfall as well which is hard to describe so I won't try but go its ace.
Reccomended

We stayed here for 4 nights during the week.
The first thing that you notice is the stunning views from this site, checking in was easy with the owners son doing a great job !
The toilet shower blocks are one of the best that we have used.
There is not a lot around the area the nearest town for any provisions is about 9 miles away, there is no phone or tv signal on site.
The owner is available for any local activities in the area.
We had a lovely relaxing stay and hope to visit again

What a lovely, friendly site! Facilities spotless, especially the baby change/disabled/family shower room.
The site was full when we visited but it didn't feel overcrowded and we didn't queue for either toilets or showers. Everything was in easy reach of the pitches (loos, showers, water, waste disposal).
The owners were friendly and helpful, there's not much fresh food in the shop though they keep a stock of frozen bread etc in the freezer, there's some tinned food, and milk, papers etc can be ordered.
There's so much to do in the area and the farm has a fab adventure trail (hand your picnic in at the office and they'll deliver it to the picnic barn so you don't have to carry it ).
We're already planning how soon we can go back

We normally pitch our tent but as the weather forecast was for rain and low temps we decided to book the POD, and so glad we did. The POD is brand new, we were the second people to use it (2 Adults mid April for 1 night), we could smell the newness as soon as we opened the door. The POD is very well equipped and although it costs more per night than a tent pitch it was well worth the money. There are two pine single bed frames in the POD which can easily be pushed together to make a double, it fitted our blow up mattress perfectly.
There's an electric kettle inside with a supply of tea/coffee etc and a jerry can so you can fill up with water on arrival rather than walking to the tap everytime you fancy a brew. Six electricity sockets inside, spotlights and it even has a light on the front porch. The POD is carpeted and has an electric heater so despite the temp being cold and miserable outside it was really snug and warm inside. You get your own picnic bench outside and there's also a fire basket and BBQ rack for those lovely summers evenings when you don't fancy the pub for dinner. There's room on the porch for a couple of chairs but you need to bring them with you as none were provided. The POD is approx 200 metres away from the loo/shower/pot wash area which are probably the best we've seen on any campsite that we've visited, really clean facilities and well looked after.
The nearest pub is approx 10 min walk from the site (The Crown in Lofthouse), food and service were both excellent and good wine too. Make sure you take a torch if you're planning on walking back after dark because it's pitch black. There's a second pub (also called The Crown) in Middlesmoor, nice little pub with small beer garden out front, it's a bit of a hike up a steep hill but while you're up there you can have a stroll into the churchyard opposite and get a great view of the surrounding area. A few other pubs within driving distance that looked very nice too.
We loved the friendly welcome that we got when we checked in at Studfold, Ian was very helpful and explained everything for us, and we had a nice chat with the lady who looks after the POD when we checked out. She was genuinely interested in what we thought and was eager to know if she needed to make any additions or changes for future residents to make their stay a good one. As far as we're concerned it's perfect the way it is and we will hopefully return sometime in the summer. The best bit about staying in the POD was not having to erect and dismantle it in the rain and it was draught and dew free. Great nights sleep for both of us!

Great site, beautiful location with clean well equipped toilet and shower block - hair-dryers, soap etc. Covered dish washing area.
Milk can be ordered - 37p per pint!
How Stean gorge is a few minutes walk away - rocks very slippery when wet. (£5. 75/ad) Take your head-torches but not much else as tight squeeze through some areas.
Farm has a trail too which we will try next time we visit.
Owner very friendly and came round to let us know more snow was on its way and to check if we were ok!

WOW, a little peace of Heaven, 2 very big fields, 1 with EHU and 1 with out. 2 Free hot showers, 3 toilets and 3 wash basins. Washing up bowls and washing up liquid is also provided for you.
The shower block very clean & Tidy. There was no waiting for the shower/toilets. The ground is so soft the tent pegs when in with out a hammer.
Over the little bridge and went up the road to How Stern Gorge and walked around there fantastic sights !which is also another campsite, however very basic. There are 2 pubs with in walking distance.
20 minute drive into Pateley Bridge which also has a bus route.
We will be returning back to Heaven !

Just arrived back from Studfold and had a great time. The facilities were spotless. The information area in the toilet areas was a good idea, something to pick up when your drying your hair. Only one issue which was minor, there was a strong smell of drains on some occasions which wasn't very nice, but hey ho we were in the country. The site was fairly handy for most attractions, we visited Forbidden Corner and The Stearn Gorge which was a wonderful experience.
We will definitely return if not this year next year. Thank you.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Studfold and would definitely go back if weren't for the swarm of midgey flies that seem to appear between 19:30 and 21:00.
Apart from that this is an excellent site, good location for walkers and very clean.
The shower block has 2 showers in each side, both with lovely hot water and I never had to wait. The owners seemed very nice and were always in and around the site.
There are two villages within a mile in both directions of the site with a nice pub in each, didn't see a shop though, having said that the site shop though small, was well stocked.
All in all a good stay apart from my legs looking like I have chicken pox.

Just returned from this lovely site. Myself and 2 kids(9 and 4) stayed for 2 nights midweek. Very peaceful and a beautiful location.
Friendly owners who work really hard to keep the place looking neat and clean.
Showers were excellent if a little too hot for the little ones. Facilities always clean although when its busy could possibly have to wait as there are only 2 showers.
Discovery Trail was good for the kids and a reasonable price for a good few hours entertainment.
Would definitely recommend this site and will be returning.
