May 2005 Got back yesterday after spending bank holiday (4 nights) on site. £11/night for tent & 2 adults,2 children. Attractive & quiet location but didn't feel site amenities were very good. Showers & hot water for washing up on coin slots. Water pressure was poor in toilet block & outside taps, the hot water failed completely after a shower timer failed to cut out - was repaired next day. With 13 young children under 7yrs bewteen our five families we were very uneasy with constantly having to go out of the field and on to the road & across the bridge to get to the water tap & toilet block which was in the seasonal caravan pitch area down the lane - all traffic for How Stean Gorge has to use the lane & bridge. Midges were everywhere once the wind stopped. We won't go back until children are much older because of having to use the road to get water / go to the toilets.

April 2005 We've just come back from Studfold Farm and were quite delighted with it. Even the rain didn't dampen our spirits. The toilets and showers were very clean, but the showers only gave out a trickle of hot water-no pressure. The middle of the tent field does become a bit marshy after rain, so be careful where you drive! A nice bonus is it's right next to How Stean Gorge, which makes a delightful walk. A nice campsite that we will return to.

January 2005 Studfold farm CS does exactly what it says on the tin. You WILL need bug spray, also you may have to contact them to book , I really wouldn`t advice turning up on spec, as its a lovely site but small. THE GRINDER

May 2004 We camped for two nights and had the site to ourselves due to it being off peak. Very peaceful with clean amenities although I would agree with the shower situation in that they were a bit smelly! Very friendly and helpful owners. Would recommend the Crown Hotel / pub in Lofthouse. Had the best scampi and real chips, very nice indeed.

April 2004 A wonderful peaceful site situated right at the end of Nidderdale. The amenities are adequate although the showers do leave a lot to be desired. I dont know if its because I've been spoilt elsewhere that I come to this conclusion. If you want peace and quiet and a bit of a crosswind over the campsite then this site is for you, and its cheap!!
