This site has been thoroughly reviewed so I'll just add a few points :)
Really lovely area, and a good site. We didn't find the pitch size a problem particularly with our 4/5 man tunnel tent + car, but I can see that it might feel a bit tighter if the site was busy. I think the weather may have had some impact on the numbers that weekend! As others have said, there was a lack of grass on the pitch, which contributed to the lumpiness.
Overall, we had a great weekend, it's a nice site with a classy, relaxed feel (despite the list of instructions which is as long as your arm!). Liked the included wi-fi (slow but usable on a smartphone) but found the fees expensive considering there's no hookup.
We will probably return, purely because of the location, but not for an extended stay and mostly in the off-season.

First camping trip for years, in new Outwell tent. Had one taster night here over Jubilee weekend. Great site, very family friendly. Our field had approx 12 pitches.
Lovely clean toilets. Supermarket and cafe next door, as well as Fat Face shop. Cross main road to coastal walk. Lovely pub before you get to harbour (White Horse).
Sat outside and enjoyed early evening sun, which was a miracle in itself due to weather before and since!
Able to use bbq (bring own food and drink) in courtyard area of backpacker hostel next door to site on the Bank Holiday evening.
We wanted a small-ish, no-frills site, definitely not a holiday park, and this was ideal. I am sure we will return.

I hired one of their teepees for the weekend, as I wanted something a little 'different' from just general camping, and I fancied a bit of 'glamping', and the teepee fitted the bill.
The teepee was well equipped with it's own wood burner (complete with logs), barbecue, picnic bench, bed, seating etc. You do need to bring your own bedding, though from a hygiene perspective, this is a no-brainer! I would however suggest that you bring your own cooking stove as the bbq is not the best, and really is very basic. You will need to have to bring your own cooking pots and eating gear as well.
In terms of the site, I thought it was excellent. The staff were very nice, and helpful. They took the time to show you around the teepee, and how to use it etc. The showers and toilet block was very clean, though to get a warm shower, you will need to get there at the crack of dawn to beat the queues and get some hot water.
There is a costcutter a stone's throw away, together with a petrol station and a cafe.
The village has a couple of nice pubs too, and you can walk to the coast within minutes.
Whilst I was there, there was a 'square-dancing' disco, if that is your thing. Whilst not mine, it would be just the ticket for families who fancy a bit of do-si-do-ing
Was the teepee comfortable. Yes, it was
Was the site nice. Yes it was
Was the site clean. Yes it was
Were the staff nice and helpful. Yes they were
Would I go again. Yes I would!

Really nice area with great amenities. Deepdale cafe is excellent, as are the Jolly Sailor and the White Horse. Site itself is very exposed, so can be feel very breezy and is pretty close to a busy road that is clearly audible. Also has very narrow pitches in the main fields - OK at this time of year when availability is good but personally would avoid in busier months, having said that we had a lot of dog barking to put up with on a very quiet weekend which wasn't great. However, more positively staff were very helpful and very friendly.

What a lovely site! We stayed for two nights and even though it was obviously cold our van has heating so that wasn't a problem. There were a few 'campers' there too! Facilities were very clean and staff really friendly.
Two great pubs close by who let dogs in (which is a bonus for us). Food was very good - we only ate a snack in one pub as we tend to cook for ourselves.
We walked to the beach along a boarded walk which was very picturesque and couldn't fault anything.
Great site and we will be going back soon.

We love this site and have stayed here many times over the years.
It is well-positioned on the Norfolk coast with shops, petrol station, cafes, pubs and bus stops all within a few minutes' walk from the site and, being one of the only places open during the winter, is the perfect location for anyone with a campervan or tent. The pitches are very flat and spacious, and the excellent bathroom and kitchen facilities are centrally located so that they are near wherever you camp. There is also a comprehensive reception which sells maps, gas canisters, postcards etc and has plenty of leaflets about the local area. The staff are also very friendly and helpful and full of local knowledge in case you get stuck!

Cant fault the site.
I camped here for 3 nights end of September into October. On arrival (early) was a bit disappointed that access to the pitch was at 14:00 with no leeway, but that's the rule.
The site was almost empty, and very clean and tidy. The toilets and showers are immaculate, and could only have been improved by users being as clean.
Plenty of people wee arriving up to 21:00 and were erecting tents after 22:00, but the noise level dropped and was almost non-existent after 22:30.
Would readily recommend this site to anyone, the Norfolk attractions, are all within easy reach by car and a bus-stop is right outside the gate.

The facilities were very good, clean, always had loo roll and there were enough toilets/showers, ie no queueing. Which is always important! The 10pm curfew was great, as everyone was in their tents and mostly very quiet.
Maybe the first weekend in September was too late in the season because, in places, there was no grass left on our plot. This isn't necessarily a major problem because we have good quality thermarests, but had it rained we would have been camping in mud, as it was it was very windy, so all the grit blew into our tent and food, not pleasant.
The size of the plot was another issue, 'small' would be an understatement. Yes there was space for our 3 man tent and medium sized car, but it meant that we were close to our neighbours, both sides. The campsite in general was very busy.
Unfortunately this means that this supposedly quiet campsite was in fact quite a noisy campsite. Especially in the morning (even before the 8am curfew) there were car doors slamming, dogs barking and children screaming and running past our sleepy heads.
I was in truth disappointed with this site, it had been recommended to us from some good friends who also camp regularly so we thought we were onto a winner.
The final blow was dealt when I returned home and found I had a voicemail on my mobile from the campsite, left at 12.41, we were supposed to be off the campsite by 12 noon, but since we had been awoken early in the morning, we had taken it easy, had a nice breakfast, washed up, showered, and packed up the tent, finally leaving around 1. 30. The message said it had gone 12pm and our tent was still there, please could we return to the tent take it down and leave. Bearing in mind the campsite was all but deserted by this time some flexibility would have been nice.

We have stayed at quite a few of the sites on this site but this is the first time we have reviewed a site. ~ Unfortunately it isn't all positive.
The site is well located with a shop just round the corner, a great cafe nearby and handy for the beach at Brancaster and the coast hopper bus.
We booked for ten nights and paid upfront as requested.
The site is well drained but the pitches are small, this means everyone pretty much has to put their tent in the same spot on the pitch so they get very worn. Our pitch was grubbed out to bare earth. Consequently any rain meant a van full of sand.
The toilets showers etc are superficially clean but there are not enough of them to cope with the site at peak periods - there are three toilet stalls for the gents and three mirrored sinks. At capacity the 82 pitch site holds 250 people. There are four showers.
Despite the long list of rules that you will be handed on arrival some of them - dogs on lead etc are not enforced. Although the site is quiet at night.
The recycling is good as is the info centre but overall if felt like they are trying to wring the maximum money out of the space available with not enough thought as to what that means for the quality of the experience. Fifteen less pitches could make a massive difference.
Deepdales main advantage for this area is it's open throughout the year and perhaps in winter early spring we would give it another go but not in summer, we actually left five days early and went somewhere nicer.

Management response: Please note that as of October 2016 this site is under new management. Various improvements are being made to the site, including a new shower and toilet facilities which is under construction, along with a new wifi system. Electric hook-ups are coming in January 2017, and lots of new trees and hedges are being planted in early February 2017. |

In an area that is one of the driest in the UK, this is a perfect site for active holidays. It's within a few minutes walk from the sea and salt marshes of Burnham Deepdale and Brancaster, with sandy Brancaster beach close by and an abundance of wildlife. Offshore wind farms are within sight and the campsite is part of a farm dedicated to sustainability and environmental responsibility. There are also tipis and yurts, with woodburner, for hire for those who either lack a tent or fancy a bit of comfortable glamping. Nearby shops are handy for food and other supplies, and there is a coastal bus service which runs every half hour throughout the summer, visiting all the towns along the North Norfolk coast.
The weather is so mild that the site is open all year and camping is possible for the hardy even in winter.
It's on a working farm, so if you don't mind a few farm buildings in view, and the occasional farm machinery driving past, it's a perfect rural holiday site.
