We stayed for a Saturday night on a weekend trip to the seaside. The campside is located in an easy to find location and has a few places such a a pub within walking distance.

It was relatively quiet during our stay so we had lots of space and no queues for any of the facilities. The toilet and shower block were nice, clean and modern.

We struggled a little to connect to advertised wifi but luckily our Bumble Camper had its own wifi so not a problem for us.

BBQs are allowed so we had a lovely evening cooking food.

Overall, a clean an organised campsite. Great for campervans.

Stayed overnight. We were in the upper paddock near the loos and showers. Staff were fine with us (we were the only tent campers!). Facilities were clean and tidy, no queues obviously! the ground is hard and flinty, but I knew that beforehand and I took rock pegs. Levelish pitches. Very ordered, so notices for everything! keeping children quiet in mornings etc. Did amuse us that campfires arn`t allowed but okay in a yurt/tepee. Cafe next door lovely. This is a posh area though= posh prices. Nice pubs in walking distance, stunning coastline. Wouldn`t like to think how busy the loos and showers get when busy though.

Just had first visit to this campsite. Accidentally but happily our visit coincided with a local pub beer and music festival which proved to be really fun and very popular. The bands were of a surprising quality considering the size of the festival as well.

Back to the campsite.

The site was clean, well organised and well fitted out and the promised quiet after 10pm was fulfilled in spite of the return of the festival goers late at night. Many previous reviews complain of an inadequate amount of loos/showers. We did not find this to be a problem even though the site was full due to the festival.

The pitches are flat and of a decent size but if you want an easy going, wilder feel to your camping, this site is not for you. It had an ordered feel, with very frequent 'recce' rounds by one of the staff members. There are notices threatening zero tolerance to loud noise after ten and parents are requested not to let their kids play noisily early in the morning. All this was fine by us though.

The local shops are great and the surrounding area stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore more. We plan to return and I think the festival will become a regular for us.

The only real problem we experienced has been mentioned in previous reviews. The ground was very hard with a really thin top soil. Several of our outwell pegs were bent when we put the tent up which has never happened before. Fortunately the campsite shop sold metal tent pegs which helped. However even these were difficult to get in and on our final morning the wind got up and ripped the guy ropes and pegs out whist I was in the tent and it collapsed on me! Had a few claustrophobic moments until I was liberated! Next time we will take really good metal pegs and a hardcore mallet!

We were dissapointed with this site.

When booking the staff did seem friendly. However this was not the case on arrival or indeed when I called in reception to ask about chemical waste disposal I was given a smile that made me feel like an idiot.

There is no waste disposal and therefore we had to use facilities on site and bring our waste home to empty.

As previous reviews have said there were too few facilities and they were of a low standard. Considering we were not even in high season.

We would choose another site but only for this one reason.
Management response: Please note that as of October 2016 this site is under new management. Various improvements are being made to the site, including a new shower and toilet facilities which is under construction, along with a new wifi system. Electric hook-ups are coming in January 2017, and lots of new trees and hedges are being planted in early February 2017.

First of all the site is well laid out and the location is good. It is very safe for children. They can wander through the site and it is well away from the main road. Rubbish collection is good. We didn't use it but I think the electrical facilities for caravans are good.

We were there camping and something to be aware of is that the ground there is made of something very hard just a couple of inches down (I suspect there is lot of flint there) and this makes pitching a tent longer than usual, and will inevitably mean more bent pegs than usual.

The worst thing is the washing and toilet facilities. I would say they are modern and clean and well maintained. HOWEVER, when full there must be several hundred people (I would even go as saying 500 or so) on site. We were there when it was nowhere near full and there is an issue with the washing and toilet facilities. They are grossly inadequate for the number of people. The result is that if you wish to shower you have to either be well organised and do it very early in the morning (5:30 am) or be prepared to wait in a good queue for the 3 or 4 showers. In the mens toilet there are 2 sit down toilets and enough urinals for another 2 - again be prepared for a wait. NB There are other facility on the site, but again there are just not enough and that place is a lot further away.

Finally I found some of the staff to be friendly especially before you pay, and borderline aggressive afterwards. We made a mistake in the days that we booked, and despite telling them almost immediately were told 'read our terms and conditions - once you pay we can do nothing. ' So we had to book pay for an extra day and pay for a day that we never used. This is just a nasty way of doing business.

Overall we liked the site, disliked their business attitude, disliked some of the aggressive staff and disliked the gross lack of toilet and washing facilities. Other staff were very good.

I was pack-packing along the Norfolk Coast Path. This site is ideal, being virtually on the path, and has all the facilities that you could want. It was clean, well-organised, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The site wasn't too busy, being out of season, but I guess could get quite busy later.

The site was quiet, apart from the usual one person who likes to share their music, but they shut up around 9:30pm.

There's good food and beer at the local pub!

This was our first visit to this site and we stayed in a Yurt going Glamping for the first time, which is obviously posh camping.

This was most definitely not posh glamping it was camping without the glam! it is very over priced.

There was a large area outside for parking and a picnic bench, and a BBQ. We were looking forward to using that but it was much poorer than what we expected. A wire tray with burnt on food that's been going on for all the season I think, and this was over a rusty bottom tray, not the sort of quality we were expecting.

The Yurt itself looked ok, but inside it needed money spent to upgrade the furnishings. The metal bed had a rubbishly made wooden base with a rubbish chipboard top, and a mattress that was very old and past it, lets say.

The Yurt itself was very noisy in the night when the wind blew, and there was no respect of the no noise after 10pm rule. There was a part going on till 2am in another yurt.

The site was clean, and the normal camping area looked nice, but the toilets and wash area was inadequate for the size of the site.

It is in a great location, there is a café but rather expensive, the best Nisa shop I have ever seen, and this sells coffee and other drinks and they have a microwave and burgers to go in.

The site staff I agree go to great lengths when you book, but afterwards they don't care.

We paid for 2 nights and left after 1 after such a disaster in the Yurt and no sleep because of the party. The site offered us 50% off for us to come back, but to be fair we left early and couldn't stand it, we wont be going there again.

We've stayed at this site a few times in our tents, this time we stayed in the shepherds hut and other family members stayed in the yurt next to us, the staff were very accommodating in siting us together,

. The hut and yurt were very clean

. Very well sited

. Very large pitch

. Picnic table and chimnea

. Could park car right next to us

. Plenty of fire wood, kindling, fire tools etc for the stoves

. Double beds in both (yurt one was a bit rickety!) plus double sofa bed in shepherds hut and three in the yurt!

. Clean bedding supplied

. Camping chairs supplied in the yurt

. A small negative is that some of the reception staff can be a little unfriendly :-(

. The shops and cafe are excellent

. Over all a fantastic stay! :-)))

This was our third visit to this site. We like the location – shops/café/bus stop/Coastal path all on the door step and value for money £7 per person per night.

Our motor home is just of the size to be allowed. We were pitched in the Upper Glade which was very level and found the pitch to be of a good size. Despite being the last week of Norfolk school holidays the site wasn’t too busy.

The site requires peace and quiet between 10pm and 8am. Despite it being harvest time the adjacent farm adhered to this and the tractor started at the same time as the 8am news on the radio.

The facilities are good but could do with expanding, currently 3 toilets each for male & female and 3 unisex showers, plus disabled. There are now more Yurts and Tepees since our last visit so the site is growing. I didn’t use the towels in the wash room for hand drying as these looked scruffy and can easily spread germs.

A hot air dryer would be better, but that would break the 10pm curfew as the hair dryer only operates between 8am and 10pm.

Our only gripe with the site now is the empting of our van’s toilet cassette. This is no longer allowed. Previously we have emptied it into the ordinary toilet as directed. But now there are signs everywhere telling you that this is not allowed. We asked to empty our toilet cassette which did not have any chemicals in. This was met with a NO. Not even a conversation. We did see one resident taking a porta-potti to the toilet block to empty. And the difference is? We were told that the lack of a CDP is on the web site, but I have been unable to find this information.

Despite this and now we are aware we would visit again as this is the only item missing from an otherwise good site.

We agree with many of the comments here. The farm was noisy for a day, but stopped at 21. 30 and didn't start until 8. 30 the next morning, so not a problem. Although fairly full a pitch next to us certainly stayed longer than 7 nights, so perhaps it is negotiable. The facilities are limited, but a great base and the walks along the coast paths from there especially appealing.

There is little shade, but it will be better and feel to have more privacy when the hedges have grown up more. Why is it that English campsites don't learn from the French and have pitches marked by hedges on three sides?
