Strict regulations around Covid so wash rooms and toilets were closed - only self contained units allowed on site. Very friendly welcome and showed to our pitch.
The washing up facility was available in restricted form. Very quiet site even though we were in a field closest to the main road and shops etc. Only thing we noticed was noisy aircraft (something we don't get back home - so we commented on it!)
Excellent location for all the facilities in Dalegate shopping area and two good pubs White Horse and Jolly Sailors in easy walking distance. A hop across the road and you are on coastal footpath. Also the main bus service runs just outside the site.
Only dropped down on Value for Money as still £23 a night with EHU and WiFi. Couldn't grade site facilities (toilets/showers) as they were closed. For two nights of our stay we were the only people in a field which normally would hold 14 pitches.
All in all a very nice site.

We liked this site very much, friendly staff, good sized pitches, a few minutes walk and you are on the Norfolk Coastal Path.
There is a garage, shop and cafe next door.
The facilities were closed but they were all quite new,
We will return later in the year

Excellent tidy site
The staff very welcoming and helpful
We would definitely stay again.
If all the facilities were open (due to Coronavirus) it would have been perfect.

We have stayed here umpteen times and cannot praise the site enough. It is by far & away our favourite site. The location is perfect with lots of lovely walks. There are 2 excellent pubs within walking distance. Dogs are welcome everywhere.
The site has the best wet room facilities of any site we’ve stayed on, generous size pitches, particularly at the moment when they are taking less than half of their usual number of units and very polite & helpful staff. It isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for.
Having just read Dannigo101’s review I think they must have stayed somewhere else as the toilet & shower blocks are not open at the moment, so a cold shower is not possible. You can only stay here at the moment if you have a camper or motorhome with your own onboard facilities.
We are returning next week for a holiday with our family & are really looking forward to it.

This site and the choice of pitches are excellent, unfortunately the pristine shower & toilets Blocks could not be open due to the pandemic,
But it’s central location on the North Norfolk Coast and organisation of the site was a great choice for us,
We would without doubt visit this site again

Great site and location. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great facilities. It only gets a 9 as it is a tadge on the expensive side and I believe prices have gone up for 2020.
We will return but in low season.

Lovely site, we keep returning because of the quality of the facilities, the friendly staff, the great location, the events in the Backpackers ( eg live music events, some of which are free to attend when staying on site) and the general great camping experience we have every time we go, irrespective of the weather.
Two decent pubs within very easy walking/ staggering distance (take a torch if walking at night). There's a good cafe and local store situated at the entrance to the site, and a few shops in the parade, including a Fat Face for those in need of a high street retail therapy fix.
There are also some more specialist local shops selling more unique goodies and arty crafty stuff. Dog lovers will appreciate the on site dog wash with warm water.
Sadly the site does not take caravans, but it is highly recommended for the tenters, campervaners and motorhomers.

Lovely quite campsite. Staff were very friendly. Toilets were clean and during our visit not busy.
Great for exploring the area as the coastal path is near as is the coastal bus.
Lots of nice pubs and cafes all with in walking distance.
We had our Westie with us and she was made welcome. A nice traditional campsite.

We, reluctantly, paid £31 a night for a pitch with hookup. It seemed to be the going rate in the area. You can really see where the money goes though. Loads of good quality facilities. We were there the week before bank holiday and they were full up. Only queued for showers once and once there was no loo roll.
Loads of staff-curious set up, it’s run alongside a visitor info centre and the staff do both. Must’ve been about a dozen different people and someone on night duty too.
Pitches are spacious and surrounded, in pairs, by hedge which will be lovely once it’s grown. Ground is visibly stony, but even delta pegs went in no problems. One little niggle with the showers-both in the shower only ‘cells’ and the wet rooms, nowhere to put bottles etc. In the wet rooms, you could improvise with the cistern and sink, but not ideal.
The surrounding area is glorious, in good weather. Brancaster beach a particular highlight, and, further afield, Norwich and the broads well worth a visit.
There’s a garage with Co-op/Nisa practically on site, very handy. No cash point is all. There’s a little complex of shops too, gifty mainly, nice for a mooch.
The area is overall very expensive. Cheap groceries didn’t exist, unless you went to a supermarket. We enjoy supporting local shops though 😁
Can’t give this site 10/10 though, because of the noise. None of this is the site’s fault, but down to location, so is probably a regular thing. It’s on a working farm, so tractors and harvesting going on from 7. 30 some days. Airplanes, possibly military? Unseen and a thunderous drone for ages each time one passed. They seemed quite frequent and early. Over the hill to the back is a wedding venue, one night they had a party till 1am. I phoned the night warden as it seemed so close I thought it was on site, but actually about 1 mile!
In addition, and this was only true of the time we were there, an unbelievable amount of racket from children with inconsiderate/oblivious parents. From 6am, screaming, shouting, running about. Joined by adults/teens way past the 10pm quiet time, chatting/laughing very loudly. Also lots of barking dogs. It felt bustling in the evenings, not at all peaceful. We considered why this was, and could only think it was a particularly bad mix of people.
As we were there all week, lots of people came and went and they were all the same. Could be completely different another week, but it’s put us off returning.
Also, they rent out firepits and the shop does a roaring trade in marshmallows. Generally not a problem but a few people had no idea how to light them and smoke billowed into nearby tents all evening.

The only question to answer is: would we come back again? And yes, we would. We arrived on the hottest day of the year, and we recorded a maximum of 42. 3c behind our tent in the shade.
The night we had a massive storm with lashing rain and high winds. We were okay, but other tents went down; and that was how it went for the six nights - on and off wind, rain, and very hot.
Apart from one thing we found the site excellent, with attentive staff, and good facilities - as reflected in the price: we paid £26, 40 per night for five nights, but £33. 00 for an extra night. But its 'Location, Location, Location', plenty of things to do in the area, and a good shop next door.
Our only caveat is the lack of a proper play area for the kids; the one provided, a small sloping field with nothing on it, did not attract many children, most preferred to play amongst the other tents, not a big deal for us, but some may not appreciate it.
In mitigation, we found the other campers friendly and we enjoyed our stay - apart from the weather!
