We booked four nights in advance and were delighted on arrival at the lovely setting.
Our first night was wonderful (we chose this site because of the many mentions of being a quiet site and it was on this night). However on the Friday night, it was a bit of a different story.
Apparently 82 pitches were in use that night (compared to approx 20 the first night) and it was really like camping in a playground. There is no designated play area and the pitches are very close together so the space between the tents is the only place for the kids to play. The kids were just having fun but as a couple without kids it really wasn't relaxing making sure we weren't hit by footballs and listening to constant noise. We ended up going out for the evening for some quiet. There is also five showers for the whole site, which when you have a couple / family per pitch isn't a lot, there were queues on our first morning with only about a quarter of pitches taken.
We ended up paying the extra for a hostel room to get some quiet but sleeping in bunks & paying extra for this wasn't really what we had envisioned for our break. We decided in the end to cut our losses and leave the next morning.
The staff were helpful in dealing with our situation and refunded the remaining two nights. It was just a bit of a shame that we drove four hours to get here. The impression we got from the website was different to our experience. Especially at weekends both the campsite and hostel seem much more of a place for young families than a place for a relaxing, quiet break.

Friendly well kept site would visit again. Like the small paddocks used for camping. Could do with more toilets and showers though as they got a bit busy at the weekend. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Lots of bins for recycling rubbish.
Lots of birds to spot we saw a Peregrine Falcon. The sunset over the tepees was beautiful. 10pm curfew here which was adeared to. Ground very hard take good strong tent pegs! We had a great time here with scorching weather.
Costcutter shop was very convenient and good to have a proper shop so near by rather than the usual small site shop. You can do a coast path walk straight from the site. Lovely flat costal walks. We bought fresh crab for under a £5 at Brancaster harbour.
Bus service was friendly and frequent we did a walk/bus/pub crawl. Lots of pubs in this county!

The site is well laid out with numbered pitches, and the showers were roomy and clean, as were the toilets. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there is a wealth of information available from reception.
There is a garage, supermarket, cafe and various other shops very nearby, and the campsite is ideally located for exploring the coast on foot or using the Coasthopper bus.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend it if you're walking or cycling in the area.

This is a really friendly, brilliantly located campsite. The children made friends very quickly and all was quiet after 10.00pm!
It was very busy when we were there and we had expected the pitches to be quite close together which they were, this wasn't a problem there just wasn't the luxury of space between pitches.
My only gripe was with the showers and loo facilities. They are superbly clean and modern but there are not enough of them for busy periods. The hot water ran out quickly during peak times of day and you did have to queue. If you are happy to time your shower for less busy periods then everything is perfect!

Myself and my partner were in the Dog friendly Tipi and my parents stayed in the Yurt. Wow! We had a fantastic time! The staff were friendly and always coming over to pet the dogs.
We did lots of walking on the coastal path and everyday when we got back there were lovely hot showers to warm us up from the chilly wind. The BBQ's outside are a really nice touch. All handmade from recycled materials off the farm. I was talking to the owner who was telling us about some of the eco policies that they have and what they try to do on site. Amazing really.
Anyway, Mum and Dad loved the Yurt. The only down side for them was that there wasn't an en-suite! The Tipi for us was loads of fun and I'm coming back for a party in one at New Year!
Great value for money for an adventurous camping experience! We all loved it!

We stayed in a yurt at the end of March. As others have said it is very expensive (£90 first night, £100 the next plus extra for hiring bedding!). And also as others have said not at all luxurious for what you get - thin bedding on the double futon, thin carpet, half a box of wood. We paid extra to hire bedding for the other futons but that was only duvets and pillows - no sheets apparently.
We were freezing and the woodburner isn't the most efficient design. The toilet block was very clean but the showers were only just tepid. The hairdryer doesn't come on until 8.45am so not great if you want to be out walking. It was quiet when we were there so no queue for the 3 showers.
One staff member was non too friendly, as someone else said maybe they don't like long distance walkers? But we did get some sheets the second night and some friendly help. I think the hostel would be much better value, avoid the overpriced yurts and tipis I would say.

Nice site!
Showers, Toilet block all very clean & usable!
Pitch sizes good, staff friendly, prices fair.
Request for quiet from 10pm not followed by some but not a great problem.
Shop next door, and Cafe & two local pubs - all good & very handy.
We have booked Hostel for June 2010 - looking forward to local walks (& pubs!)
Norfolk very very nice and look forward to returning.

Site easy to find. Staff very friendly. The site was clean and tidy. Showers were hot. The site was quiet except for the geese that flew over early morning. The walks were fantastic. Would recommend to anyone. The 3 sites were divided and clearly marked. There a some local shops including a cafe which serves breakfast. The local supermarket is well stock for every need. There is local attractions (within 5 Miles) which is worth a visit. A local pub was recommended for an evening meal, the staff were very warming, the food was very nice and good value for money.

Things being what they are we decided to stay at home instead of renting a French gite as we had done for the past four years for a week in September. With the weather looking good we decided to book a two night stay in one of the 6 tipis which are now a feature of the site as we thought the tipi would be a bit warmer than the tent at this time of year particularly as it had its own wood burning stove which was fabulous. The only downside was getting smoked out when we put too much on at once and the very cold night time temperature once the fire had gone out.
One bag of artificial logs were included in the rental price of £60 a night which we thought was a bit expensive compared to a caravan with running water, electricity, cooker etc. Which would have cost about the same in nearby Wells-next-the-Sea. The cost of a 4 night stay would have paid for a week in the gite with enough left over for a tank of fuel to get us there.
The site facilities were adequate with hot water, waste recycling, a nearby cafe (not used this time) and Costcutter supermarket just around the corner. There are two pubs within half a mile both selling real ale and a nice new coastal path leading to Burnham Overy Staithe and beyond.
The staff were very friendly and polite although the woman who went to check the tipi before they refunded our £20 deposit could have been a bit more subtle.
It was a good experience staying in the tipi though the lack of windows to see out took a little getting used to. I would definitely use this site again although it would be in our own tent next time.

I really enjoyed camping here. Beautiful surroundings. An incredible amount to do in the area - wonderful churches, lots of fantastic restaurants, beaches, etc. Very peaceful and friendly campsite. Personally I really enjoyed the strict 10 pm. curfew. Particularly important at harvest time as you could hear farm machinery early some mornings.
Staff always helpful. Very civilised too - with local shop and lovely cafe if tire of self-catering. Toilets and showers fantastic.
If I were to be really picky, I would say I wish there was another freezer to freeze ice packs. Also the wasps nests in the bushes in August 2009 were annoying (can't they be got rid of?!)
