May/June 2004 Just got back from a weeks camping at this site. We pitched on the field that also had the play area on it which was great. The site is well maintained and the pitches were not only level but you were also given a fair amount of space, considering it was the Bank holiday weekend and the site was full it was great to not feel hemmed in! The shower block was again very clean with free hot showers and whilst there are only 2 female showers there never seemed to be horrendous queues. The shop was well stocked although small with regular opening times. An excellent touring base for coast and country we are definitely going back sooner rather than later!

June 2003 We have had a lovely quiet weekend at Robin Hood Caravan Park. We are a family of 4 so it was nice to find a tent site by the childrens play area. We were allowed to pitch the tent wherever we liked so you were as close or as far away from the facilities as you would want to be.
We found the staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful. The toilets/showers were extremely clean - they were checked throughout the day. Toiletries are provided just in case you have forgotten anything.
The village of Slingsby has everything you should need - pub/ restuarant/ church/ play area/ shop etc.
The site is perfectly situated for visiting so many different places - 20mins from York, 2 mins from Castle Howard.

24-26th May 2003 Nice site tucked away from it all, Massive field to suit tents, seperate fields divided by large bushes for tourers and statics, needless to say tents are the furthest from the toilets, and there are few lights, so keep your torch handy. Amenities are okay, shop on site,toilets/showers satisfactory although for such a large site there are only 3 (male) showers. For a bank holiday weekend the site was surprisingly empty which was a shame because this is a good site and only some 20-25 mins away from Flamingoland and 40 mins from Scarbrough. Recommended if you want a quiet break and are not looking for on site activities
