May 2005 Visited the Beehive Farm on the last bank holiday weekend for the first time and took first time campers with us. Lovely site, with lots of space and level ground. Even on a bank holiday got plenty of choice to chose own pitch.
Very clean showers and toilets but not many for the size of the camp site. (2 for women, 2 urinals and 1 toilet in mens plus a disabled toilet.)
Has a small farm and play ground that you can pay to go in. never had time to visit this but it looked quit egood for the kids.
Cafe on site, was told sold very nice all day breakfast but again never tried it out. Small pet shop on site selling a few basics. Closely located to many attractions and pubs etc.
Really nice site and enjoyed the trip throughly. Overall will visit this site again. Even the first time campers wanted to stay on for more nights.

May 2005 Stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The camp was clean and well run, and didn't mind 9 of my family from Birmingham turning up for a bar-b-cue. My Mum came for the day and being confined to a wheel chair the disable toilet was a god-send. The cafe was brill, great not having to cook breakfast on the day you leave. If you go check out the Royal Oak in Caldwell - small but great beer and lovely landlady.
Apart from the lack of toilets and showers, great site Pennyp

September 2004 This site will be busy next year! Good rates, V.clean and tidy, Animal farm, Cafe on site, The site is well set out and does not crowd pitches (has a massive rally field) our kids (7 & 3) loved the farm and had loads of play area nearby, The shop is really a pet shop but stocks some basic goods, But a 5 min walk to the village and you have a small co-op store. There are plenty of nice walks nearby and is a definate 'chill out' site. Only con's are the toilets/showers as already mentioned, V.clean but not many, Only two unisex showers and one mens loo!(don't go into the ladies)so the seat never gets cold :-)worth a try...

October 2004 Pleasantly surprised! We stopped off here to attend the amateur radio rally at Donnington Park on our way home from the Lake District. It was a last minute thing - our friend was going to stay there while visiting family in the area so he phoned as we were driving down the M6 and booked us in alongside him. Lovely site, well kept and although there are only a few toilets and showers for the site we didn't have to wait for either. Water nice and hot and free showers. and as previously stated spotlessly clean.
Now, having been to other sites with no hardstandings I was a bit worried about getting our 'large'van out of somewhere that has had a 'fair amount' of rain over the last few weeks. Needn't have worried. Despite the fact that the grass got a 'bit churned up' by people coming and going to the caravans there wasn't a problem. One of the best things about this site wasn't just that there's plenty of 'farm' animals to see, there's also plenty of wildlife too - we saw hawks and rabbits and the area has been extensively planted with young trees and shrubs. We didn't go down to the fishing areas, but the gent across the way appeared quite pleased with the 'sport' he'd had the day we were there.
The 'other' good thing about this site is the little cafe at the entrance - it's open 08-30 to 16-00(might be 16-30) daily and serves a really great 'Fishermans breakfast' for £3:75 inc. tea/coffee and toast, and some of the nicest thick bacon I've ever tasted! No wonder they tell you when you order that there's a wait - it was full all the time we were in there and as seats emptied another batch of cyclists or walkers or campers took them!!! Very nice site, nice welcome and we'll go there again!

August 2004 Only a few miles from where we live this is a very friendly site. Not very big but all public areas are one of the cleanest we have been to. There is a small area for children to see the animals ducks chickens rabbits etc. The resident peacock wakes you each morning and there is a small but great cafe for your breakfast etc very reasonable and great value for money. They sell a few essentials in the shop along with gifts but there is a co-op just down the road for bigger items. There are two pubs in the village that we are told are good but we did not visit them. The rabbits are so tame you can almost touch them. Great place to visit ideal for alton towers etc. Enjoy.

June 2004 Made to feel very welcome, small farm on site for children, but you can't feed the animals :o( . It's approx 5/6 miles from Burton upon Trent, I imagine there could be a problem during peak times for showers, there is only 2 cubicals (spotlessly clean) 2 ladies loos, 1 mens loo and 1 urinal all spotlessly clean, oh! and 1 communal washbasin and 1 private one with lock, I imagine it can get very busy!! All in all a great site if you don't mind a little wait for the showers :o) 25 electric hook up pitches and a huge field for non-electric.

2002 Good walks in the area, especially through the pretty villages of Coton in the Elms, Rosliston & Lullington. Great pub in Lullington (Colvile Arms), doesn't serve meals though and not open lunchtimes on weekdays.

5/9/03 to 8/9/03 This is a very clean campsite, it has 25 pitches with hookup and a big field that can hold upwards of 200+. It has a farm, ponds and toilets............2 womens and 1 mens + 2 urinels not many for size, oh and 2 showers.
You were made to feel very welcome on arrival. This is an excellent site near Drayton Manor and a discovery centre called Conkers......very good for kids and that does include adults. lol.
