The facilities are fine, plenty of hot water for washing up, clean toilets and showers for 20p a go.
The main field is large and a lot of it is sloping. There are pitches along the hedge which are fairly flat, but were all taken by the time we go there. The electric hook up pitches are to the left of the field.
The site has beautiful views and is at the bottom of Dinas Bran. The men took the kids for a walk up to the top (30 mins there and 30 mins back) and well worth a trip by all accounts. Just follow the rode that carries on behind the back of the farmhouse and then follow the signed public footpath.
We walked down into Llangollen for supplies (10 mins there are 15 mins back (uphill!)). Plenty of butchers, bakery and a Spar.
All in all a good place to go.

This was the first time we had been camping with our 21 month old and turned up at the site with 2 vehicles, a tent, an Alsatian and more than a little trepidation.
The owners were really friendly and welcoming but not imposing.
The field does have a considerable slope but we pitched right at the top where we found a flat piece. It was lovely. The views are breathtaking.
The road into Llangollen is steep and I wouldn't like to tow a caravan up it. But being 7 months pregnant walking wasn't an issue anyway.
The showers and toilets were always clean and there was plenty of loo roll despite it being half term. The site was quiet by 10.30pm.
A brilliant weekend. In fact, so good we are going back next weekend.

Friendly owners
20p for a shower (approx 5 mins)
Toilet and shower block kept clean
Walk back to campsite from Llangollen is very steep, takes approx 15 mins.
Nice area, very scenic.
Aqueduct is a short drive away, nice walks and scenery.
Majority of pitches are on a slight hill but plenty of room to pitch on site.

Friendly site. Facilities adequate.
50p to freeze iceblocks. 20p for shower - about 5 min.
Most of pitches on main field sloping.
Tractors, horses, cows, sheep etc. All close on hand.
Kids all got together and played football in the evening - room for this despite the main field being quite full.
Another very large (sloping) field by the road was opened up so you could have camped with no neighbours for hundreds of feet if you wanted. Walk to shower would be a few mins. Not sure if this is only opened only when the main field becomes full.
There are seasonal vans in the hard standing area which is next to the main field. Unfortunately one evening/night there was loud music from a party at one of these pitches, followed by the extended goodnights, torches shining all around etc. Etc. - well after midnight.
Llangollen is nice to visit - nice kids park and paddling in the river. Takes about 15 min to walk and the steep hill back is a nice workout, and helps to burn off the calories from the ice-creams eaten in Llangollen. Not 'horrendous': living in Darfur would be horrendous!
The Mill Pub/restaurant by the river in Llangollen is nice - Sunday lunch good - fish and chips very large.
Plenty of walking and site seeing in the area.
Visit the museum (free but they accept donations) - very interesting and lots of info for the size of the place.

Is really a working farm, so 'site' facilities are basic. One standpipe at the foot of the field, one large dumpster for all the rubbish near the entrance. Chemical deposit. Grey water grid (unmarked) and two sinks. Basic breeze block showers, no ice box. Electric hookup is £5.00 a night here. The walk to the entrance is a 2min trek if you are on the opposite side of the field. There are not rubbish, water or fire-points. It's just a field, that's all, but quite relaxing - no noisy roads, other than cattle (cows, sheep horses) who makes lots of nice noises in the morning and remind you that you're on a farm, lest ye forget.
If you know Llangollen, then the site is opposite the railway station and then up that steep hill, past the horse-drawn barge. In fact, my diesel mondeo was in 1st going up, so I wouldn’t like to be towing a caravan up there - but, there was plenty of caravans on the static field, so it can be done!
The pitch is an L shape with the slope rising to the top of the L and a paddock in the middle with horses. The lower field is sheltered from the winds by the tress and bushes. A basic chain bridge play area keeps the kids amused and becomes their 'meeting place'. The pitches do tend to be packed-in like sardines. Once the sides are filled with tents, the middle then starts to fill.
There doesn’t seem to be any advertised site rules. Unfortunately, I camped next to a family who were playing rock music and singing karaoke till gone 11pm. Then their kids were up at 7.00 banging wooden spoons on the back on of pans and running wild at 7.00am. Once they left, though, the whole site was quiet (and that was with 50 campers). So it may have just been a one-off.
The walk from the site to Llangollen is about 15 minutes, but the walk back uphill is a killer, especially if it is hot. Best parking in the town is over the bridge and 2nd right for all day parking for £2.00.

Once you are there the site itself is lovely with fabulous views and very friendly owners. Lovely walks and you can leave your car at the site and walk into town (although it is a VERY steep walk back.)
The toilets/showers are adequate but more farm like than site if you know what I mean. Showers cost 20p and the water is lovely and hot.
Now the downside - the approach is horrendous, it is a single narrow lane up a steep incline. Towing a caravan is no fun if you meet an oncoming vehicle or worse another caravan. This has certainly put me off visiting again which is a pity.

This was great value at £17.50 pn.
It was a single steep road up to the farm and really easy to find. (first gear most of the way up and down!) The owner was really helpful and supplied some considerably sized blocks to help get the van level. She even backed our van onto the blocks for us! The van was far from level but everything worked OK.
We set up by the hedge opp. The small kids play area, next to a fenced off field with sheep and horses to the great amusement of the kids.
We were the only van on a field full of tents, the weekend after May BH. It was full up but no trouble and everyone was settled by about 10.30. It was good that the owners take no messing from large groups.
Take a walk up Dinas Bran castle as the views are spectactular. Beware it's very steep and not for the unfit!
Facilities on site were OK. Toilets were 'fairly' clean and there were 2 showers with no queues for 20p.
We would visit again, not far and Llangollen is a lovely place.

This site is perfect for a weekend away, this site owner is very helpful, toilets and showers very clean. There is electric hookups and a small shop. The only fault we could find was that some of the pitches were on a slope. The views were amazing and Llangollen itself is a really nice place to go. We will visit this site again.

Turned up on a Friday in June without booking. Received a great welcome from the owner. She showed us the field and we could pitch anywhere. We decided to pitch near the hedge next to the children's playground so we could see our 3 year old play should she make some friends. There are only 2 pieces of play equipment but they are great for getting the children together so they get to know each other. The other great thing about the field is the owner leaves her 3 horses in a fenced off portion. The children loved this and were stroking them and feeding them. My daughter was lucky enough for the owner to let her sit on one which made her day! We did have a lot of noise on the Saturday night when we were there but the owner dealt with this and even made the party in question pack up in the night and leave the field. It was the right decision and meant that everyone else could settle. The next day the owner came around and apologised to every tent for and disruption is caused. You really can't ask more than that. The toilets/showers are clean but basic and you pay 20p for your hot water shower. You can also buy eggs bacon etc on site from the owner which was a good help. Location is great to get into Llangollen but be careful if you decide to walk as it is up hill on return! LLangollen in beautiful with shops, restaurants, train rides and boat trips. All told a fabulous weekend and we will definitely be returning.

Felt very lucky to book this site and get a place with electric hookup on the Saturday morning of the bank holiday. Did not have time to look at their website and the reviews so was VERY stunned to face the steep road wide enough for one vehicle on the way up! Made it up though (and back down - first gear most of the way). We had a nice pitch with enough room for car and awning. It was a 'power pitch' and if we had the equipment we could have run water straight from the tap to the van and the waste straight into the ground. We had really bad weather this weekend, so did not get out and about walking, just one daring venture into town in the rain. The taxi home (could not face that hill in the rain) was £4 which I thought was reasonable. The site was quiet at night and the toilets were adequate for our needs. The only problem we had was there there did not appear to be a dog run to let them off the leads for a while and one of ours won't 'go' when on the lead so she had a very uncomfortable couple of days. I am sure this would be a beautiful location, given the right weather and chance to explore it.
