Very good and clean. Children liked it too but my main reason is we came from this area and have used other sites when visiting Scotland - the bus service in to Edinburgh was a very good asset to this site. Yes you can un-hook and go visiting other areas but to see Edinburgh GREAT! Site staff very good too

Well kept site - medium sized pitches (which allowed a pup tent for our teenage son). Well kept toilets - showers 10p for 6 minutes. Insides of some of the cubicles were marked with minor graffiti.

Welcoming and helpful staff both in Reception and on the field.

Good playpark - hedged off from the main park. Quite a well stocked - small - shop.

Handy for the A1 and the City Bypass to any part of Edinburgh - we went specially to see Concorde at the East Fortune Museum of Flight (20 minutes away).

Tescos in Musselburgh - 10 minutes drive.

For visiting Scotland's capital city - this one is worth considering.

At first glance, the site looked really nice and so it is! Unfortunately, if your are in a tent, they push you into a corner on the site with really tall hedges! And you have no chance to interact with the rest of the site visitors.

The site is nice and the toilet blocks where without any complaints! The only thing is, why does the toilet blocks need to be looked for that long time of period?!

The female site warden was brilliant! If you need help with directions, where to eat etc, she was the person to ask!

Stayed at this site in a tent for 4 nights, very well maintained site good flat pitches all with electric hook up, staff very friendly and helpful.

On site shop with good range of items, fresh bread each morning (if ordered), 2 good sizes toilet/shower blocks very clean, dish washing facilities and laundrette area and chemical disposal area for those in caravans.

Childrens play area and dog walking trails for those with dogs.

40 min bus ride into Edinburgh, 1 hour to Roslin chapel, £2.50 adult saver.

15 min drive to lovely beach in Gullane.

Lovely 4 days would use this site again.

Well organised setup with generous pitches all with hookups. Well stocked shop with fresh bread each morning (book bread order day before)

There is a dog walking trail that basically goes round the edge of the camp. However due to some very inconsiderate dog owners this was more of a poop trail when we visited.

Taking a left out of the site takes you down to the bus stop. Edingborough is a 40 min bus journey away and costs £2.50 for adults and £2 for children. This give you the freedom to roam on any / all lothian bus services.

Very good washing shower facilities that are locked at around 7 each day and access is via a key you get when you book in.

Would not hesitate to visit again.

We found this camp site very well situated, very peaceful and very well maintained with a warden on site, there was no noise apart from the birds singing. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean and rubbish taken away all the time.
Playground very good for children. No club house which was not a bad thing, as site was peaceful at all times. Found staff very friendly and helpful, well stocked shop, with lovely warm croissants.
Great position for visiting edinburgh, north berwick etc. Also there was no pesty midgies, as we have been to other sites on the west coast of scotland where midgies wear tackity boots, which are a nuisance at times. We would definitely recomend this camp site and will visit again.

This is an excellent touring site, Ray and his wife couldn't do enough to make our stay so enjoyable - excellent Customer Service. Ideal location overlooking the Forth, plenty space for both tents and caravans. Well stocked shop, very clean toilets, very family friendly. Not too noisy and everyone so friendly. Would recommend this site to family & friends, so much so we have booked again for June this time with the Happy Campers!

Lovely well kept site with well stocked shop.As with previous reviews I feel a lower speed limit on site would be better or even if the current 10mph limit was enforced. The golf buggy did whizz round a bit and I was horrified at times to see 5 or 6 kids riding on the back of it. Health and safety obviously not a priority here.

All that aside you would be hard pushed to find a prettier site in the Edinburgh area. Some nice pubs in the local area. The Thorntree inn in Cockenzie was great for a drink with beautiful views of the Forth but surprisingly no food served. Great italian in nearby Musselburgh called the Caprice where you can get Half n Half Pizza n Pasta for around £8 and alitre of house wine for £11

Well laid out and tended site.  Very quiet and peaceful. Clean facilities. The 10p a shower thing is a pain and they only last for 6 minutes and many of the women were complaining about it. I had one shower with freezing water. Although the site is pleasant the owner was not helpful and quite rude to us on our arrival.  Bus journey to Edinburgh takes about an hour from bottom of the hill, and beware of the wind blowing in the wrong direction as the smell from the sewage farm can be over powering!

We found the site to be very clean and well looked after. The quiet at 10.30pm rule worked pretty well, and we found the site convenient for visiting Edinburgh(45 mins on bus at the end of the road for £1) I agree that the owners drove their unnecessary golf buggies too fast around the site.10 p for a shower was long enough but if it isn't ,as said before, you have to go out of the cubicle to put in more! It did get busy in the mornings for showers as well. We did like the site and it had a good play park for the kids, and a well stocked shop. We did however find the pitch size allocated a bit small for a family tent so when asked on booking allow extra!
