The site was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful, and perfect for Edinburgh
The only issue was that fire pits are available to campers to hire, so the tent that was opposite us had it lit from 5pm till around 12pm, the wind blew the smoke into our van so not only did our van smell like a wood burner, we couldn’t open the windows in the hot weather we were blessed with!
Fire pits are great and we have one at home, however we have no neighbours close.
Whilst this is a nice idea, it would have been nice to have the option of a separate area where these were not allowed.
For this reason we won’t be returning.

Stayed over the weekend 23rd/26th August, Tent Camping, on arrival reception we’re very polite, quick check in and escorted to our pitch by one of the site warden’s
Pitch E1 a very large corner pitch, level healthy grass pitch with 16amp EHU. Does sit next to the bins but these are hidden and it really is not an issue.
Site is well paid out with various sizes of pitches from grass to gravel.
Some of the grass pitches did look a little to close but are around 10x10m average
The site is really well lit with free Wi-Fi and in reception there’s the smallest of shops selling the basics
There are 2 toilet blocks on the site, very clean and each consists of a male, female toilets, laundry, pot washing and grey/chemical disposal. There’s also a motor home disposal point.
Toilets were cleaned on a regular basis, did look a bit tired on what I’ve seen at other sites but fully functional, each mens block consisted of around 4 urinals 3 toilets 1 disabled toilet with sink another disabled toilet with shower and sink and 2 individual showers. There was also 1 cubicle which had a sink in for washing which I thought was a great idea and could do with more
Plus a row of standard sinks and plenty of warm water.
We liked it so much we stayed one more night and the staff were amazing trying to fit us in, in a very busy period.
The site has a quiet night policy and was generally adhered to, some voices and occasional laughter could be heard past midnight but wasn’t an issue. It’s camping in tents what do you expect.
Site has a strict no music policy.
£15 gets you a fire pit for the whole duration of your visit, I did see a couple of fires close to other tents and if it was me it would be squeaky bum time pending a gust of wind and sparks hitting my tent.
Overall brilliant place, definitely going back, why not 10 out of 10 stars??? Basically some of the close spacings we saw so pick your pitch type well and the toilets looked a bit tired.
Lovely clean well placed site, park and ride about 2 mins away for Edinburgh, Musselburgh just 5 mins away with Restaurants, takeaways a plenty, Tesco etc a minute or so further on.
All staff very pleasant and nothing troubles them, always smiling and there for a chat if you want to

We really enjoyed our stay at Drummohr caravan and campsite. Our pitch was very spacious and the grounds were well maintained.
The facilities were very clean and well managed and the water was always hot.
The reception staff were very helpful and processed our arrival very promptly.
The camp is well located for easy access to Edinburgh, with a great bus service within 10 minutes of the campsite.
We would be very happy to revisit the site.

Very impressed, friendly and welcoming. Clean and tidy site,
Well maintained with clean toilets and showers, we will return.
The park and ride from Wallyburn was easy to find with clear directions from the reception staff.
My only negative comment would be that there could be more showers in the shower blocks.

Loved it - very friendly and well kept site. Staff were lovely and the swing park was brilliant for the kiddos.
Brilliant spot to jump on buses for tourist adventures - only £9.50 for all day return on the bus for two adults and three children.
We will definitely book again.
Our only little bit of feedback would be that the showers need updated but the word on the site was that was going to happen very soon.

A wonderful experience. The location was superb, we took the bus in to Edinburgh and it took us along the coast which was lovely.
The facilities were clean and extremely well presented. All the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly.
I have no negative comments or constructive criticism.
I think the cost was reasonable and we would definitely go back.
The children's and pet facilities looked very good but we did not have children or pets with us.

After a long hit drive we eventually made our way to the site. We were stuck in traffic so called ahead as it was edging towards 6pm which is the latest you can check in. Arrived to the main entrance to find it a bit symbolic with cars parked all over the place. As none seemed to have caravans etc, and I had never been to the park before, I figured they must just be parked. I drove up to the reception area to be met with a woman shouting aggressively at me. This then set my dogs off who were in the back of the car. I put the window down and asked her to repeat what she was saying. Over the barking of my dogs I realised she was saying that I had jumped the queue. Confused I asked what queue? She said "Can you not see the queue of cars". As I said earlier there was a few cars randomly parked.
No signs anywhere and certainly no queue. Safe to say not off to the best start. I was hurried in while being told I was now "blocking everyone" quick turn around and followed a guy on golf buggy to my site. "That's your area there" he said and off he went. Carefully reversed my caravan in and unhitched only for a different guy also in a golf cart to turn up and tell me I would need to move. I asked why and he explained I was about 5' out of my area. Anyway after moving we were finally set up.
Very big and busy park. However it was clean and well laid out. Toilet block clean and a nice dog walk area which stretched round edge of park. Park is in a good location with a small town just up the road and very close proximity to Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Nice park to visit.
We may have just caught them at a busy time not sure but we seen the crazy lady the next day and she was very nice then. It pricey but I'm sure we would return again.

Not a cheap site at nearly £33 for hardstand & EHU. But it's a convenient site for exploring East Lothian, Musselburgh & Portobello are worth a wander too; there are other sites much closer to Edinburgh for the sight seeing.
We liked the warm welcome, the flowering shrubs & many bedding plants, the shelter from the wind. It's a huge site but seems smaller because it's divided up by hedges into separate areas. Being on hardstand meant we had a defined pitch; we've stayed here on grass before and they're less well defined pitches. We had to pitch so that our back door faced the same way as everyone else's.
The WiFi is free but you do have to log back in frequently. The site website cites the sea views, but these views are largely screened by trees. The dog walk was handy, but every day there were several big new piles of dog poo in the same area, despite there being plenty of bins to put it in and the long list of rules. Never a queue for the 3 showers, the toilet block was never closed for cleaning.
We had bad neighbours, which could happen at any site: two huge dogs barked constantly & aggressively when anyone was outside so we had to put up a screen to be able to sit out, the owners made no attempt to control them. Another neighbour used our EHU socket with our cable hanging on it, we had to trail our cable far off, so it was run over several times by the Big Dog owner driving over the grass in his work van rather than use the track.
The site served its purpose for this trip.
