June 2005 I have stayed at this park many many times. It's location is superb and the cleanliness is great. Prices are indicative of the area, and they are currently building more lodges. I particularly like the Super Pitches, well thought out and reasonably level.
I have got to know a lot of the staff and always found them helpful and friendly (especially Janie and Bert with their lovely dog Sally). Willie Melville is the owner and will always try to accommodate and help where he can. The prices in the camp shop are in par with a local store and the Caravan accessories are cheaper than the nearest caravan dealer/shop.

15th May 2004 Very nice clean and quiet site, loads of space and lovely dog walks. The people in the site shop very helpful and friendly. We had our tourer but my parents had one of the chalets and they are first class, central heating, large rooms and spotless. Overall I could not find one fault about the whole place. We will certainly be going back.

Last visit Easter 2004 Fab friendly clean and quiet! We have been going here for the last 10 years or so and can't fault the place! Part of the charm is the freshly baked croissants from the shop first thing and the fresh bread rolls for our bacon sarnies - just remember to order them the night before. The shower block is the best I have ever seen in a campsite and at 10p a shower, 10p to use the hairdryer and laundry facilities also available, it's great to clean up after a day on the beach, which is quiet and just across the road from the site and next to the Industrial heritage museum. There's a great onsite park for the kids and the whole site is secluded and sheltered, with dogs welcome in the special dog walk provided around the site. I have seen tourers and tents and the electric hook ups are included in the price of an overnight stay - but just be sure to book in advance as it's a popular stop over for Europeans - so you never know which language you're going to hear in the shop. There are "super pitches" for vans, but a standard pitch is well big enough for our Sunncamp tourist plus 6, our dog and the car and the use of an electrical hook up is included in the stay for tents if you need it! Just outside Edinburgh, the nearest pub is about 1/2 hours walk, but you can look on their website for the rest of the bumf - but I give this site 10/10.
