We stayed for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Site is well maintained with relatively easy access from A1. Well laid out with a mixture of tents, motorhomes, caravans, chalets and pods. Shower blocks are easily accessible from all areas, and were very clean and well maintained. Each pitch area has fresh water facilities, as well as bins. There are also recycling bins available. The electric hook up point was in easy reach of the tent, and the positioning of pitches to access points is excellent.
Although the site was quite busy everyone respected the quiet hours rule, and there was no problem with late night revelry which occasionally happens on larger sites.
My only complaint would be that the on-site shop is poorly stocked and there was no fresh milk, however there are a number of supermarkets within 5 minutes drive.
I would be very happy to stay here again.

We stayed here for 8 nights over Easter and it is a great base to visit Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
The site itself was large, clean and quiet. Pitches seem to vary but ours was level with good drainage.
Play park also got the thumbs up from the kids.
Overall a nice park with good facilities and pleasant staff.
We will hopefully return again.

Stayed here for three nights over the final May bank holiday whilst doing the Edinburgh Marathon.
I had mixed feelings about the site. I booked nearly 10 months in advance and asked for a large hardstanding pitch as I was taking an awning. When we arrived, we were directed to a small gravel patch that had no privacy or hedging around it and wasn't big enough for an awning. On returning to reception, we were moved to a lovely secluded grass pitch, but asked why we hadn't been more specific on which pitch we wanted when we booked (we've not stayed before, so expected what we paid for!) and also not given a refund on the difference in price.
On walking around the site, there is certainly a vast difference in the quality of pitches; some are top notch, others are very poor. So it's certainly worth talking through the type of pitch you want when you book.
That aside, the toilet block was ok and kept reasonably clean (it was a very busy weekend).
The general upkeep of the park was very good and it was well maintained. There's a useful dog walk on site too. The price was on the high side.
Overall, I'd stay here again if doing the marathon, however, I'd be very cautious when booking to make sure I didn't end up in one of the substandard pitches.

My family & I stayed for two nights in a motorhome on our tour around Scotland during the Easter holidays. A beautifully well kept site near the City of Edinburgh. Having experienced a number of different caravan parks over the years we found this one would be up there with the very best. The site is spotlessly clean & well laid out with all the motorhome facilities you would need. All the staff were very friendly & did their best to make our stay comfortable. We were also very impressed with the local Chinese takeaway (The 'Fry & Wok') who delivered our meal to the caravan park free of charge, which was very tasty. The bus stop was a 5 minute walk away from the park, where you could catch the regular number 26 bus right into Edinburgh City. The shower & toilet block that we used were clean & functional with plenty of hot water. A highly recommended site, one which we would definitely return to in the future & may even try one of the lodges next time. Thank-you Drum Mohr!

Booked and paid in advance for a one night stopover on a hurried family visit North of the Border. Cost was a bit steep compared to others £29 as opposed to £18 elsewhere but site was clean and had good facilities.
Had to phone ahead as we expected to arrive very late but found that the staff were the main priority not the visitor, which I found annoying as they were obviously living on site as wardens, and were requested to come along now to get the pitch, and a barrier code, then had to drive all the way back to relatives house, which was a pain. Toilet block facilities good and lots of hot water for dish washing. Possibly too expensive for us to use again.

Have just recently from six nights at this incredible campsite. The camping fields are sectioned off, adding privacy. It was low season, but the whole time we were there we were given a field to ourselves. Each morning we could wake to bird song and the possibility of deer looking over the fence. The site has a lovely tranquil atmosphere.
The showers and washrooms are immaculate. One of the shower blocks has timed fan heaters. The water is very hot. I have only one niggle and it's rather small really. It appears you have to pay extra if you want hot water from the laundry room. I found this peculiar and a tad mean. However, I still cannot wait to return here. This was my second visit to Drummohr, having stayed in August, during the busy season.
In conclusion, I thoroughly recommend this campsite. The bothys and static caravans look wonderful, too. It is within easy reach of Edinburgh. Musselburgh is stunning. Hungry? Try World Buffet in town.

Got in at Easter with no notice - site nowhere near full! That said, looking at the number & spacings of the hook-ups, it will be cramped at Festival time, but what Edinburgh site isn't? It is a family site, so it was 'busy' - we had to put up our wind screen to divert the children with dogs and footballs from where we were sitting in the sun, but it was nice that they were outside enjoying themselves. Having read the reviews, my mouth was shaped for the pizzas - but the famous pizzas are only available in summer / high season. Disappointed! We'd come again - it's in an ideal location (west to Edinburgh, east along the coast) & it's well run.

This was our third time here and again top marks for everything.
Once again the wardens were very helpful and knowledgeable.
We went for the 4 nights for the price of 3 and it is excellent value for money - total cost £60 electric included.
Would highly recommend this site!
Have to submit more characters so, once again an enjoyable little break with lovely weather on a cracking campsite with great facilities and lots to do in the surrounding area.
Also so close to Edinburgh for the tourists.

We have just spent 5 nights at this site and were really pleased with the facilities that were available. The toilet and shower blocks were well maintained and there is a children's play area on site. The site is well maintained and is ideally situated to discover the areas to the South. There is a regular bus service to Edinburgh, no need to use the car, this is from the road 400 metres from the site, £3. 50 for a day travel ticket is excellent value. There are numerous shops and other attractions along the road at Musselburgh.
The pitches were small and we were glad that there were very few tourers on site as otherwise it may have been very cramped.

Second visit to this site, staff very friendly and extremely helpful.
We booked a super pitch again, which was super. The pitch was monoblock with ample space for car, caravan and awning, with two water taps and drainage. The pitch was surrounded by mature well maintained hedging.
The grounds are beautiful and again well maintained.
Two toilet blocks on site. The male and female block closest to us had 3 showers cubicles in each, one of which was for disabled. The facilities were very clean with plenty of hot water and there was a proper hair dryer available for a small charge.
Large play area available with modern equipment.
Good transport links to Musselburgh and Edinburgh for both shopping and site seeing.
Great site hope to revisit in October.
