We agree with all the other posts, a wonderful site. The showers were brilliant as was the soft loo paper, the owners were lovely and friendly, sadly for them the weather took its toll. We arrived on Sunday and it was windy and overcast, the site has a few inches of top soil with a clay base! It was quite soft, and as the week went on it got wetter. The owners had to cancel bookings as you couldn't drive on to pitches. Overall, despite the vagaries of the climate a great stay and one to return to, a really lovely site for sure.

We arrived late (past 9) but the owner was very sweet and showed us to our pitch. The site is quiet and well maintained with good showers and soft loo roll ! A very peaceful weekend . Nice site !
The owners were really helpful and friendly, helping us first time tourers with a problem with our water heater. The sun shone all weekend and this made a very relaxing weekend even more special.

We stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. We had a lovely stay at this campsite. The price was very reasonable compared to some of the campsites located on the coast. The site was quiet and spacious with good facilities (no shop), and the owners were very friendly. Just a short drive from Aldeburgh and Southwold, it is in an ideal location for exploring the local area.

This is a small, quiet site, which is pleasantly landscaped. The facilities are very good and well kept. Showers are hot with large unisex cubicles. The wash basins are also in separate, lockable, unisex cubicles. No charge is made for hot water. There is no shop on the site nor within walking easy distance. However, there is a selection of leaflets about local attractions and a shelf of books that you can borrow. Pitch prices are very reasonable - £8.50 per night for a tent and two people. The site is well located for Southwold, Snape and Aldburgh. We had a very good meal at the 'White Horse' at Sibton, which is about four miles north of the site.

Beautifully kept site with free showers and plentiful supplies of soft toilet paper! Peaceful, quiet and run by very pleasant and helpful owners. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys tranquillity. We had a lovely stay on Lonely Farm and we will definitely return.

What a gem. Visited this site for a week in September 2005. Having never visited Suffolk before I was plesently surprised how much the area has to offer. Lonely Farm is situated about two miles from Saxmundham, which is a nice village with a large Sommerfields supermarket. The site is about a 15 min. drive from the coast. The site itself is an adult only site and at £11 a night for awning and electric, I thought is was good value for money.
First impressions on arrival was how nice the site is kept. The pitches are large and the grass was very well kept. Although it is a small site, 28 pitches, some of the little touches were brilliant. There is a chest freezer in the washing up room where you can keep your frozen food, just put it in a plastic bag with your name on.There is also a spin dryer you can use.
Showers are free and the cubicals are massive, and in the toilets ANDREX loo paper, all amenitys were kept emaculetly clean. The site is dog friendly with loads of walks. Next to the site are two big fishing lakes ,not owned by the site, Harry used to like to go for a walk around these at least once a day.
On the whole it is one of the best sites I have visited. Also the elderly couple that own the farm the site is on were wonderful. Rateing 9 out of 10.... Harry the dogs rating 10 woofs, he loved the lakes.
