Just had a few days at this site, and for peace and quiet, whata cracker, just what we were looking for, the site owners are very friendly, and nothing is to much trouble, facilities are good. Will definitely be back next year.

Returnee from 2 years ago. Very friendly and helpful owners (Adrian & Jenny). Enough useful and very clean facilities but, because it is an adult only site without bars/shops/entertainment/pool etc. , it is wonderfully quiet and spacious.
As a 'tent' camper, it is great to have plenty of pitching space and privacy, electric hookup, clean free showers (which are rarely fully occupied) and not having to wade through acres of other campers.
Close but also far enough distant from urban areas to be a perfect. Suffolk is also pleasantly slower and gentle, being far less commercialised than surrounding counties but with loads of things to see and do (plenty of info on site) as well the coast and major RSPB reserves. Plenty of great pubs close by which are really inexpensive with superb food but these can get booked up in the evenings (be aware that many smaller pubs do not serve food on Sunday and Monday evenings!). Overall this was another wonderful carefree holiday and great camping experience. Will be back again!

First time at this site and will not be our last. A peaceful one off site that we wish was closer to home so we could use it more often. Adrian and Jenny provide a very friendly welcome and give personal attention during your stay without intruding into your holiday. Site itself is immaculate, pitches are excellent size, giving a good sense of privacy. We were there over a bank holiday and even with site being full it did not feel busy. Facilities are adequate, very clean, hot water at all times and no push button showers. Fridge freezer available free for use, no washing machine for those who might want that but hand washing facilities good with good spin drier which is free. Ideally situated to explore the Suffolk countryside by car, bike or foot. Lots of lovely pubs and close enough to a small town with a Tesco and Waitrose for all your provisions. Would thoroughly recommend this site which is adult only, we had a fantastic 3 week holiday, by far one of the best sites we have been to in the UK.

This was our first trip away in our caravan. Overall we had a good time, the site is immaculate and very peaceful, with clean facilities and spacious warm showers. The only negative for us was the owners appeared to be somewhat over the top. We felt watched at every move and twice had them coming out ordering about. Firstly this was when my fiance and I had been for a walk with our two dogs, she went to toilet and me and the dogs waited just outside but the lady came out and told me off directing me to walk the dogs in another direction, the same thing happened later in the day with my fiancé and Ade, she felt very uncomfortable and cornered by him, both times were innocent and the dogs were no trouble. There was lots of signs everywhere too, ordering you to do something, which I found quite strange considering it's an adults only site and therefore would like to think adults know how to do the things asked.
We met a lovely couple on there though who were a great help for our first time, lending us things we had forgotten!

This review and rating is based on our personal experience of a lovely sunny weekend, which always helps.
We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and this adult only site was great. It was really well run, and the toilets, showers, indoor dishwash room/sinks etc. Were very clean and well maintained.
We liked the positioning of the pitches, the farm buildings and facilities being fairly central and all very well kept, but somehow they still felt pleasingly rustic. Perhaps because everything was pretty much spotless.
The owners were very helpful and informative. Our first time there but everyone we spoke to had been before, some returning for years. The pitches were a decent size, the grass neatly mown, inset with paving to pull up on.
Others told us they loved the peace and quiet of the site, its surrounded by fields and trees/hedge rows. You can swiftly walk the short distance to another large campsite, shielded from view by trees, with many statics and a complex housing a bar with entertainment etc. However, we preferred the 40 minute walk along footpaths crossing fields and down quiet lanes to the pub at Rendham, which served food and had some decent ales.
We didn't need e/hookup but our pitch had it anyway, we felt we got value for money though, from the quality of the facilities and the cleanliness. Also, being only about 10 other pitches occupied at the time of our stay.
Would definitely go there again.

Our first time at this site, just spent 5 perfect nights here, cannot fault anything, the facilities very clean and well kept also has a freezer & a spin dryer if needed. The owners are very helpful and considerate, even came round with ice creams for us all as the weather was exceptionally hot. Being an adult only site it is very quiet & peaceful, but the shops and nearby towns a short drive away. We will certainly return when we can.

We had three nights stay on a beautifully well kept site with very clean toilets, showers and wash room.
We were greeted by friendly staff who personally gave us a guided tour of the camp and its facilities, they also had a rich supply of local knowledge and ideas of to do with our time in Suffolk which was gratefully received.
For those who do not venture far a small library of books and magazines are also provided to help pass the time on what is a very peaceful camp.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a lovely site. Congratulations to the owners on the standards maintained throughout, from the friendly welcome, area information supplied, and the cleanliness and tidiness of the site. First impressions were very favourable and we were not disappointed. The site was very peaceful and there are lovely walks in the area.
Thanks for a lovely week.

One of my favourite ever sites so am reluctant to rave about it too much in case it's then always full, but there's just something very special about Lonely Farm. It has charm and character in abundance along with great views and that peace & quiet that can be especially hard to find. The pitches are spacious, the facilities are spotless and the owners could not be more welcoming and helpful. It's an absolute pleasure to stay here and I'm sure we'll return. Thank you.

This was our second stay, and we enjoyed it as much as our first stay last year. Both Jen and Aid (who run the site) gave us a very warm welcome upon our arrival, and are always on hand for help and advice. They also recommended two attractions that we didn't know about, and we were pleased they did as we visited both of them. Lonely Farm is very well positioned for a number of places of interest in this part of Suffolk, and most are between 20 minutes to 1 hour away by car. The site is very rural, tucked away down a little lane off a slightly more established (yet quiet) road. That said, access is very easy for caravans/motorhomes as the public roads are wide enough for two vehicles to pass. Facilities on site are very good - all pitches are nicely grassed, spacious and level + electric, established separate areas for tents, caravans or motorhomes and close by water points. The toilets/showers are kept very clean and are generously spacious, which is particularly welcome. We've been to some sites that have state of the art facilities (which are not a necessity) but are very cramped and awkward to use. At Lonely Farm there was always hot water and we never experienced having to wait for a toilet/shower. On this occasion we stayed for 10 very comfortable and peaceful nights. No campsite offers 100% of your wish list, but this one certainly comes very close to the top for us. We will hopefully return again in 2016.
