Excellent adults only site. There are 3 areas, 1 for Caravans/motorhomes, 1 for tents and 1 for Camping and Caravanning Club members. There's also an area for Extra Large outfits.

The caravan area we stayed on had EHU and was spacious. Only downside was that it was on a grassed area and the soil underneath is clay so could be muddy in extreme wet weather.

The 25 'van pitches were in a large circle with hedges around the perimeter, set about 1 mile from main A12 road.

Facilities were first class, water always on tap and very hot and as previously described by other reviewers. Recycling bins provided. Close to Suffolk coast.

Great area for cycling/ walking/ birdwatching. Hosts were extremely friendly. All in all a real find.

This is without doubt the quietest site we have ever stayed on. Lovely location with exellent dog walks. Toilet and shower facilities were spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water and showers that turn on and off rather than push buttons. Electric socket and mirror in the loos for drying your hair.

The site has 3 fields, two large and one small. The first field on the right as you enter is nicest with large pitches and landscaping. We have a motorhome but this would be good for tents, caravans etc as nice and level.

We were not offered a choice of where to pitch and despite other pitches that were empty/nicer we were on 24 which was next to the bins and footpath so do ask when you book where they have allocated you.

Good cycling in the area and close to dunwich, minsmere, aldburgh, snape maltings and southwold.

All round an excellent and peaceful campsite and we will return albeit will book further in advance and specify where we would like to pitch.

This was our first trip out with our caravan and what a lovely peaceful site we picked and although not mentioned they accept dogs too. Yes the facilities are oldish but extremely clean and well kept, whatever time of day there was always plenty of hotwater for showers etc. Or washing up.

The owners were really friendly and helpful. The only downfall was our pitch, could have been in a better place with a bit more of a view but everything was near at hand so can't complain.

Went into Saxmundham (Waitrose there), Thorpeness and lovely lake, Wickham Market, Gt Yarmouth, Gorleston, Lowestoft and Southwold.

A good week away and as you will see a good base to tour around if you want or stay put and enjoy the walks, 2 lakes and a shop to get papers not to far away, Rob our cairn terrier loved it as much as us, we will return I am sure.

What a wonderful site. It was our first time in Suffolk and it was made even more special by staying at this beautiful, clean and peaceful site.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly and showed you to your pitch. Although only 3 showers we never once had to wait even though the site was full most nights.

Lovely spacious shower cubicles (unisex), toilets gents and ladies separate.

Lovely walks around the adjoining lakes and walking also from the site. Saxmundham (Waitrose) only about 2 miles away plus lots of lovely Farm Shops selling local produce.

Will definitely be going back.

Just back from our second visit to Lonely Farm. Jenny greeted us like old friends and we were made to feel very welcome. If you want peace, tranquillity and friendly people, this is the place to go.

We had excellent weather and had a lovely day in Southwold. We also visited Minsmere, the RSPB site near Dunwich. We had great 'neighbours' and had a good chat about caravanning.

If you need to shop, Saxmundham has a Co-op and Waitrose, Leiston also has a fair sized Co-op.

We love this adult only site and although we love our children and granddaughter, it is lovely to be in a place where we can sit quietly reading a book without disturbance.

The access to this site is great and it is surrounded by open countryside. A thoroughly lovely retreat in which to unwind. We will be back!

This was a last minute booking, and so pleased that we did come here.

A fantastic site and very peaceful. No noisy kids.

Excellent facilities with plenty of free hot water for the showers, and washing up, had a freezer where you could re-freeze your ice packs and this was free.

Had some lovely walks just behind the site, got a little lost. But found our way back.

Stayed for two nights, but will come back and stay a little longer next time.

We where woken up one night with a badger sniffing through the tent. But that is all part of it.

Every so often we find a campsite that is just perfect - and this is one of them - in our opinion.

The previous reviews are spot on - well kept site, peaceful, clean etc.etc

The pitches are on 4 areas, a main field, then 3 smaller fields around the buildings with just a couple of each of the smaller fields. In all areas grass is very well cut and tidy. The loos / showers are old - but I can't remember seeing ones this age kept as clean and looked after - immaculate at all times.

The owners are friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive.

From the site we walked on public footpath through to the lakes at Carlton Mere in just a few minutes. There is a big campsite here at the Mere but to be honest it didn't look a patch on Lonely Farm.

There is a Chem Disposal, several water taps and all pitches have ehu. There are several hard standing pitches but majority are grass (which was firm and looked fine even after a full days rain).

We paid £14 per night 2 adults including ehu - its a steal at the price and we will be back and would recommend this site to anyone looking for peace and quiet at an adult only site.

First time here lovely site, really friendly owners. Clean, good facilities, always hot water for washing up and showers. Really quiet and in a lovely position.

All the other recent reviews were accurate. Nice large freezer handy for putting food into.

Waitrose handy also a Co-Op in the town.

Highly recommend the Kings Head Pub at Yoxford, its on the main A12 on corner, don't be put off by outside recently taken over and food lovely good vegetarian selection and reasonable, food all cooked to order.

Also ate at the Weavers Tea Rooms in Peasenhall, good sunday lunch, 2 courses around £9 and again good vegetarian selection and freshly cooked.

Will definitely use this site again wouldn't look for any others if in area.

Lonely Farm site is a very quiet adults only site. It is not far from the A12, with easy access. The site has three level grass fields, and we were allocated a space on the largest. The sites were spacious and we had a view over the fields.

The site owners were very friendly and helpful, and although the Toilets and showers were a bit dated, they were kept clean and there was lots of hot water.

Saxmundham, about 5 minutes by car is the nearest town with all facilities, but places like Framlingham (Castle), Southwold( Pier and Lighthouse), Aldeburgh (Beach and Fish & Chips), Snape (Culture) and Leiston(museum) are all in easy reach.

We had our first outing with our new caravan here and what a lovely place to stay.

We really appreciate adult only sites for peace, quiet and clean loos and this place really fitted the bill! The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We went shopping at Waitrose in Saxmundham, but apart from that, we did not need to go out as the site is beautifully situated. We were lucky to have warm, sunny weather and our friends called into the site on Sunday morning to check it out as they are also 'adult only' caravanners and they said they will definitely be staying there.

The site is very easy to get to and access is also very good. All pitches are on grass, but we had no problem getting the caravan level.

All in all a lovely site for those that want peace and quiet.
