Visited this site for two nights. Made to feel very welcome by the owners. We elected to pitch on the quiet field which certainly lived up to it's name. Showers and toilets are kept immaculately clean.
Good sized pitch which was plenty big enough for our twin axle van.
We will certainly visit this site again

Our first visit to this site did not disappoint, although it was a bank holiday the site was not over filled and we had a lot of space round our unit. The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The facilities were excellent and very clean.

Stayed at lonely farm for one night,
On arriving we had a very warm welcome from Adrian the owner who was very pleasant and explained where everything was very helpful.
A lovely quiet site, very clean, toilets shower rooms were spotless.
We will definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

We have just spent a week at this lovely site and would highly recommend it. On arrival, we were warmly greeted and given a guided tour of the facilities with lots of information given regarding the caravan site and surrounding areas to visit. The site is maintained to a high standard and all facilities are kept spotlessly clean.
However, remember this is an adult only site so not suitable for families. TV and Phone signal is good.

They should change the name of this site to Lovely Farm, because it really is.
We've been here before, two visits in August 2009, and it has been lovingly improved since then.
Nice level hardstanding pitches for our motorhome, lovely clean toilets and showers and lots of flowers everywhere.
The owners live in a log cabin on site, and are so friendly and welcoming. This is how a small family site should be run. It was a pleasure to stay there and we will certainly return.

This was my first time at Lonely Farm and for the first time ever I booked again for next year, something I never do. I cannot praise Adrian and Jenny enough, their site is a credit to them, my wife has COPD and I requested a pitch near the toilets and showers, we were put that close, I had a slight concern with potential noise, but I heard nothing, that's how peaceful this site is.
The grass is immaculate, we did suffer a torrential downpour while we were there and there wasn't even a puddle, brilliant drainage. The site is quiet, masses of room between oufits, and the facilities are great, some people may say they are a little dated but they are very very clean and everything works fine (we went to a site that had pipped music and underfloor heating etc but who needs that seriously?)
As for getting to the site, very easy towing and well sign posted. This site is a gem loved it, see you next year Adrian and Jenny (just wish we lived a bit closer. Oh did I mention ADULT ONLY - heaven

We have just spent a week at Lonely Farm, an adult only site, and it was idyllic, incredibly quiet and peaceful, in a lovely location out in the country, but not too far from the shops in Saxmundham. We took the opportunity to visit the local towns around where we had never been before. Adrian and Jenny were the perfect hosts, showing us around all of the facilities, which were all excellent. Both Adrian and Jenny took the time to visit us after set up to ensure there were no problems. We will be returning in the future for sure.

We continue to be amazed at just how good this site is, level pitches, extremely well maintained grass, shower and washroom facilities always clean and functioning, (no push button showers here!). Jenny and Adrian welcoming and friendly and all within reach of the fabulous Suffolk coastline. We will be back before too long!

Well, what a lovely site - adults only, so very quiet.
We were warmly welcomed & quickly booked in. We were given a pitch as requested on booking, a nice sunny open pitch. The sun shone all our holiday, so we were well blessed. There are 4 different fields, our field took 14 vans & except for the weekend was never fully booked, most of the time there was between 7-9 vans in it, although other fields were also in use. They had a re-cycling system in place with different coloured bins for paper, bottles etc.
There was a few hard standing pitches in our field but mostly were just grass which was kept lovely & tidy, with hedging all around. Some pitches had individual hedging too, the pitches were well spaced out. We just loved the peace & quiet of the site.
There was 3 ladies & 3 gents toilets in a block with a hand basin in each. Then there was 3 showers in another building which were used by men/women & individual wash cubicles, all kept lovely & clean, plenty of hot water. The washing up sinks (3) & a clothes washing sink in another building, a spin dryer free to use & a fridge freezer also free to use for those who did not have a fridge. The showers etc were basic, BUT, very clean & plenty of hot water, what more do you need.
Twice while we were there our hosts came around with ice lollies etc as it was very hot during the day, that was an extra touch which was much appreciated. The dog walk was just outside the camping fields in the lane up to the site, (clear up after your pets)sign requested. We were also given a walks sheets which started right from the site, different directing arrows once you got to the top of the field.
The site is 1 mile from the A12 road, so very quiet in the countryside, 2. 5 miles from Saxmunden which has a Waitrose, Tesco, Co-op & Catalogue shop, as well as a Costa café & other shops, not a big place but great for stocking up. Parking in these shops was free for a couple of hrs, or the car park was £2 all day. We found the car parking in & around the area good value for money, except Southwold which was £4. 40 for 4 hrs, or £6 all day. We are in the National Trust & visited Dunwich Heath, just put our car sticker in the window, but if your not members I think the parking was about £4, but we drove straight in so whether anyone comes round to check, not sure. We also went to Flatford Mill, £4 to park but rest was free. Then Sutton Hoo, I think it was £8. 50 each in here. We went to Aldebrough on the bus, thought this might make a change to driving & parking, so parked in Saxmunden & caught the bus outside Waiterose, the bus is every 2 hrs (& we were told it sometimes knocks) in the light of day we should have driven there, about 10 miles away, the parking was £3 all day, very reasonable & would not have been clock watching. Then also went back another day & parked the other end of Alebrough & walked to Thorpness along the coast, a lovely place where the house in the clouds & windmill are, both now holiday lets. We also went to Framlington Castle, it's being renovated now so did not go in as parts are closed but could walk around the grounds outside & around the lake for free. Another place we went was Snaith Malting, free to park here & walks along the river Alde.
All in all a lovely holiday, I would not hesitate to recommend Lonely Farm for a peaceful holiday & would stay there again if we went back to the area.

There are not words sufficient to convey the excellence of this wonderful site maintained by equally excellent owners.
Nothing was too much trouble for Adrian and he was so friendly. We felt as though we had known him for years.
The site itself is spotlessly clean. What more can you ask!
On our last day, we left quite early and did not want to disturb the owners. To our utter amazement, we received a telephone call from Adrian the next day in order to check that we had returned home safely and that we had enjoyed our stay. How lovely was that! Unheard of these days.
It's the best site in Suffolk. Thank you so much. We will be back.
