We spent four nights here in July. We meant to stay longer, but the weather had been very miserable, and although it was gradually clearing, I was taken ill and so we left early. It was a shame. It was a lovely site.
Nice spacious toilet and kitchen blocks. Showers and toilets spotlessly clean at all times, and never had to wait. Showers 50p for four mins, water nice and hot and good water pressure. Piped in music was nice, although a bit creepy in the middle of the night! Nice washing up room, and very handy drying room behind it - very useful after a very stormy night! They could use another washing machine and dryer, as it was extremely busy! Freezer and fridge also in kitchen.
Great sea views from both sides of the site, and when the skies cleared at night, the stars were unbelievably bright and clear.
Plus Points: Beautiful views Well-drained, mainly level site Friendly owners Spacious pitches Immaculate facilities - could not be faulted Well sign posted Very quiet
Minus Points: Nothing for the kids to do but run around, and one football goal net Could use another washer and dryer Owners not always at shop/office at hours posted on door (generally you could get them if needed, though, by phone, or they only live round the corner from the site).
If I wanted to go back to that end of Cornwall, I would definitely go back.

We spent 5 days at this campsite and couldn't fault it. There are wonderful views and being on top of a cliff we were exposed to the elements, during high winds and heavy rain our tent stayed in tact. We have young children and they loved this campsite due to the fact that they were allowed to feed 'Baby' the lamb his milk. They even got to see the sheep being sheared. We were also lucky to see the week old piglets. The shower and toilet block was spotlessly clean which to us is a big bonus. There is also a little hut/shop which sells lovely pasties and croissants and other lovely things, which is brought by the bakery van. Myra and Steve were extremely friendly and very helpful. Make sure you ask them about the best places to eat. Lots of space for the kids to play in. There are wonderful walks around the campsite which take you to some lovely quiet beaches and also the link to the South West coastal path. It is also very near to Mevagissy a lovely fishing village and also close to Heligan gardens and a PYO strawberries, which the kids loved. We will be back next year and can't wait!

We have visited this site twice now - once during the school holidays and once in June when it was very quiet. It's very high up with wonderful views out over the ocean. This also means that it's quite exposed which is the only disadvantage we could find - apart from the very narrow lanes approaching it. The site has electric hook-ups if you want them. The toilet block is new and spotlessly clean. Showers are operated by tokens which cost 50 pence and can be bought from the shop. In the women's shower block there is a separate room with mirrors & plugs for hair dryers etc. The washing up room also has fridges & freezers which are free, although they are quite full in the busy season. There is also a laundry room. Make sure you shut the washing machine door very firmly or it won't work! There is a small shop on the site selling their own lamb for barbecues and other basics at reasonable prices. The village of Gorran Haven is just a short walk away - it has a small beach which is very suitable for young children. We didn't try the local pub but drove into nearby Mevagissey where there is a plethora of restaurants & pubs serving all sorts of food at a range of prices. Just up the road from Heligan and within easy reach of the Eden project, I would recommend this site to anyone who wants peace and quiet with stunning views. It's located on National Trust land with easy (or more challenging) walks along the coastal path.

Hospitallity 10/10 showers/toilets 10/10 views from site 10/10
The Welsh's have a great site for those not wanting the club house, high fenced, guards on the gate type of site. Very child friendly with the bottom field having space reserved for ball games including a goal post and tennis/badminton net. The toilet/shower block has seperate rooms for toilets and showers, fully lined and tiled,50p gets you 4 minutes in the shower, which we found plenty long enough. Some sites have free showers but you pay the extra per nights pitch, which at Treveague farm is £12 per night for family tent with no hook up. Electric hook up is available in the bottom field which is also level. We may have made a mistake in pitching at the top of the hillbut we couldn't resist the views over Gorran Haven and Hemmick. Some stoney sub-soil meant we had to poke around a bit to get the pegs in but wasn't impossible or inconvenient. This is also a working livestock farm with their own produce available from the office. Bacon, ham burgers, lamb burgers, sausages are especially delicious. Pasties, bread and cakes locally made as well as eggs, milk, clotted cream, scones and other essentials too. Some excellent walks to a few beaches along the coast path.
Hemmick beach is small, sandy but the hill up the road to the car park got my "if you think I'm pushing a buggy up there you must be joking" award, so it's a good thing there's space to park 3-4 cars.
Caerhays (porthlunie) is a bigger sandy beach and quite popular, 15 minutes by car. Take a flask of hot water as there were afew incidents of stings from weaver fish but nothing to be concerned about. Excellent waves for kids (and adults) with dinghys and boogie boards, shallow beach so tides are quite quick.
The site hosts are most friendly and accomodating. No regimented rows of tents and vans, pitch where you like. Gorran Haven is good excercise on foot on the coast path and 10 minutes by car.
MevaGissey (both Meva and Gissey)about 20 minutes, but use the charity £2 a day car park and a 10 minute walk unless you like being on sigle track 2 way roads between shops and cafe's. Lovely little fishing village. Vault beach is quite a trek for those with kids and though we managed, buggys would be imposible for most. Be aware that there have been a few police visits due to a few "wrong uns" using the naturist area at the far end.
A good base to visit a lot of Cornwall's attractions. Not overly packed so those in parties can be far enough away no to disturb those with kids.
Will we return? maybe not next year (we're not creatures of habit so will be elswhere in the country) but certainly will next time we're in cornwall.
