We visited this site as a first try out for a two person tent in preparation for getting out of using the car and going on foot and public transport.
There is everything you could want at a camp site. We would echo the views of others. The new owners could not be any more helpful.
Although we did not try the golf range as it was a little bit on the wet and windy side I am sure it would be great fun in the summer months.
The new owners have some excellent plans for the site which we hope would be successful.
One novel thing is a quite large bar which you can use in the evening. Much nicer than sitting in a tent on a cold and windy night. I wonder if a hearty English Breakfast might be something for the future!
In terms of facilities the toilets and showers are clean and obviously recently decorated. Although there are only two showers in each section I guess this would normally not be a problem. There are a number of hard standings useful for caravans and motorhomes. In the top corner of the site there is a children's play area which at present has little equipment but does have a large area to kick a football around. Plans are afoot to change that. They have a good recycling policy for waste. The site has hookups. Not sure about them as we did not use them. Only one critcism. A bit more tree cover to reduce wind would be good.
The site is just outside Fakenham and within walking distance.
The site is well placed to go seal watching around Blakenham or go birdwatching on the north Norfolk coast. We are looking to go back to do exactly that.

Had a couple of days at this site. The new owners and the staff were very helpful. There is only 2 showers in the men's block which would probably be busy during peak times, but I was the only tenter among several caravans so I seem to be the only person using the washroom so it was always empty. The site is very well maintain and the grass kept short, which is a big plus this time of year.
The town is a brief walk of about 15 minutes so is handy for supplies
Only negative is the road noise, also mentioned on previous reviews and the campsite can't do anything about the noise.

Just returned after spending 2 weeks at this lovely site. The new owners are extremely helpful and we enjoyed the holiday, despite some wet weather. The site is very well maintained, and the toilet block was always clean with constant hot water and good showers.
Walk to the top of the field for magnificent views of spectacular sunsets.
We used the golfing facilities, with the putting green being the favourite. A lovely way to spend some time!
The large play area with new climbing frame was a great hit with the children.
The owners are planning extra sinks for washing up, but were only too happy to fill a bowl with hot water and provide an extra table if there was a queue.
All in all, a fantastic holiday in an ideal spot close to beaches and quaint sleepy towns. Holt was well worth a visit and so was Pensthorpe.
We are looking forward to our next holiday at this site, still lots to see and do.

Fab site, a real find. New owners couldn't do enough for you. Nice toilet/ shower block, only 2 showers but didn't have to queue.
Added bonus is having the driving range next door as the kids could go off and hit a few balls without us!
Only downside is have to drive to get milk/ paper etc but that may well change. Morrison's 5 mins drive away and Tesco in Fakenham so plenty of food shops.
Very handy for Wells and Cromer (crabbing better at Cromer!)
Seal trip from Morston Key well worth the visit.

Arrived Sunday 15th to gale force winds, many thanks to Pen and Jac (owners) along with a very kind gentleman it took 5 including myself and mother to put the tent up. Yes the tent was still there the next day. The grandchildren(7 & 8)had a great time.
Showers and toilets very clean, pitch was huge.
Went crabbing in Wells 9 miles away, Sherringham is a lovely town well worth a visit. Morrisons close by for milk etc, I think they are going to have a shop on site, all in all a great site will visit again

This is a nicely positioned site for visiting North Norfolk. The pitches are well spaced on flat, grassy areas. The toilet block is clean with plenty of hot water.
Only slight problem was the washing up sink, as there is only one, but the new owners bring a bowl of hot washing up water out when a queue forms and were helpful if you went into the reception to ask for a bowl of water.
Positioned next to a golf driving range and pitch and putt course gives you something to do, whilst on the site. Close by attraction, Pensthorpe is worth a days visit. Morrisons supermarket only 5 mins away by car.

I don't have a single complaint about this site!
We were a group of 2 families and had adjacent pitches which were very large with plenty of room for 6 berth tent, utility tent and 2 cars. The ground was relatively flat and the grass was comfy underfoot and obviously looked after as the site was immaculate. Water, bins and fire extinguishers were located in the centre of the field and recycling was encouraged.
The children's play area although at the moment just contains a slide/playhouse and a goalpost has great potential and is going to be developed further by the new owners. Our kids spent almost all their time there and made lots of new friends.
The toilet block has coded entry, and is one of the best I've seen. 2 shower cubicles with very hot water, 2 wash basin cubicles and 4 toilets in the ladies + a disabled toilet. These were always spotless and I didn't have to queue although the site was almost full.
Fellow campers were friendly and there was no noise late into the night. Overall this site is excellent and I hope it doesn't get too busy as at under £20 a night inc EHU and only 10 miles from Wells next the Sea we shall definitely be returning.

This was our first family camping experience and what a wonderful one it was. It started brilliantly with a lovely welcome from the new owners and just seemed to get better.
The site was lovely and the pitch was plenty big enough for us. The grounds are really well presented and you can see the new owners are going to make it an excellent place to camp.
The area is a great spot as it gives you lots of options in all directions for things to do.
The facilities are really clean and plentiful.
We will definitely be returning soon.

I stayed at this gem of a site for one night with my two young children. The new owners were very friendly and the toilet and shower block were spotless. The playground was perfect for the age of my children (aged 2.5 and 4.5) and because the campsite is very spacious it was easy to keep an eye on them. If you pitch at the far end of the site, traffic noise is not a problem. The nearby town of Fakenham has many amenities and the coast is only a stone's throw away. The clubhouse is very relaxed, none of that golfing snobbery here! We will return!

The new owners seem really friendly and helpful, even if your battery runs flat! It was a short drive to the beach and both Wells and Brancaster were beautiful. The children loved the large field with football goal and climbing frame. We were there with another family so the large pitches were really nice.
Fakenham is a pretty town and we are keen to return to try the cinema.
The toilets were clean and the showers were hot. I think the new owners are planning on increasing the washing up area will be nice.
Good to see recycling.
