What a lovely campsite.
This was the second time we stayed at this site, last august we stayed for 4 nights. Nice large pitches that we managed to fit our very large tent on, our large gasebo, kitchen area and car on. No extra charge just pay for the pitch.
Pen and Jaq are lovely ladies that make you feel very much at home as soon as you arrive, well actually from the first enquiry email/phone call.
They run the site pretty much single handed and do a fantastic job. Shower/toilet blocks are always spotlessly clean with endless hot water.
The family field is great as the children's play area is in an enclosed area at the end of the family field, at the opposite end of the site to the entrance exit, so children playing in that area are very very safe indeed.
The pitch and put and driving range is also great and the reception/kinda club house (but not your usual club house)cafe with wood burner for cold days/evenings also has a totaly relaxed atmosphere.
I can't say anything bad about this site or the 2 lovely ladies that run it.
Keep up the good work jaq and pen.
Can't wait to return.

What a great site, the people were really friendly and really helpful, They managed to fit us in at the very last minute, phoned Thursday and arrived Friday. We loved our weekend away here, the rain didn't put us off.
The maps we were given on arrival were great, straight to the shop to stock up on supplies. Are we going back, oh yes.
The toilet block was very clean, and well looked after. A shelf to put your shampoo would be handy, but you can manage.
A perfect place to use as a base, to visit the beaches and the sites of Norfolk.

Despite typical British bank holiday weather we thoroughly enjoyed our three nights on this site.
The site was easy to find and access with large pitches. It was also was well drained; we were worried as the preceding week had seen terrible rainfall with floods in our area in Suffolk and we only have front wheel drive.
Facilities fine, dog walk adequate for the morning and late evening jimmy riddle. It was our first proper trip away in our new caravan and were made to feel welcomed by friendly hosts.
Our children, nine and eleven, also enjoyed the site but would have preferred some additional play equipment in the playfield.
We know North Norfolk quite well and enjoyed our usual favourites, Cromer, Wells, Holkham and crabbing at Blakney.

Just had 6 days on this lovely site very welcoming and friendly owners who are working really hard on site.
Despite terrible weather with rain and gales we had a lovely stay.
Spotless toilets and showers, might be a bit busy in peak times as only 2 showers but you never know as time goes on other facilities may be added.
Easy to find Tesco/ Morrisons within 5 mins drive away.
Very quiet and peaceful, so will definitely be returning in the near future, hopefully with better weather when we may even give the pitch and putt a try out,
Small clubhouse which we didn't use this time is also on site.
Good Bus services in Fakenham from where you can go to Kings Lynn / Norwich / Holt / Wells and other destinations.

I found this site whilst looking for somewhere to stay as my father had passed away. Found the owners and family very friendly and helpful. Played pitch and putt only £4 each and for an extra £2 you could play 18 holes, this was a lot of fun. Would use again but not in a tent as weather very cold at night -9. The site has maps of the area. Shops near by in either direction Tesos Morrisons and Aldi. There are takeaways near by as well although we did not see these as we were only there for a short while, it was good to know

What a lovely site with 2 wonderful ladies penny and jac that run/own the site. Nothing was too much trouble for them both. Well laid out site, plenty of space between tents, nice area for children to play in, well away from the entrance exit of the site. Shower/toilet blocks where very clean at all times and water was always hot and nice and powerful. Washing up area lovely and clean. It was dark walking down to the toilet block at night when I forgot my torch, but when I mentioned it to penny the next morning she was on the case right away, even though they were very busy sorting out other stuff. Super site and a fantastic pair of 'wonder women 'running it, don't know how they do it. Will be back for sure time and time again.

Just returned from our first visit. We used this site because we were going to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, and this site is only 10 minutes away. We booked late because we were unsure of the weather, but this was no problem because being December the site was quiet. Entrance to the site is good with a wide gateway (locked gates overnight) and good parking whilst booking in. We were made most welcome and the staff could not have been more helpful. We particularly liked the smell of woodsmoke from the woodburner in the reception. The site was tidy and well kept with adequate hardstanding and plenty of hookups. The toilet shower/block was clean and alternative toilets are available in the clubhouse whilst cleaning was in progress. Overnight there was a little road noise but nothing dramatic or disturbing. Digital TV reception was good from Tacolneston. I did not use the Golf driving range or pitch and putt but I will next time, it looked good. Tesco and Morrisons and Lidl just 5 minutes away along with plentiful take aways and restaurants. We visited the nature reserve at Pensthorpe and had a great time and a good Sunday lunch. Thursford Christmas Show was brilliant by the way.

It was our first time camping and we had a wonderful experience at this friendly campsite.
The toilets, showers and washing up areas were clean. Plenty of hot water, no queues.
The owners were friendly and on hand if you needed them.
The site is well maintained with large pitches.
The only downsides are:
Fixed shower heads - challenging with a 2yr old!
Road noise - but hey, you can't have it all! tesco, and excellent fish and chips and Indian take aways were just a 5 minute drive.
Local beaches were fantastic!
We are looking forward to going back to Norfolk and would not hesitate to stay here again!
Fantastic value for money too!

Just had a fantastic two week stay at this campsite, nice and spacious pitches, extremely helpful owners where nothing was too much trouble and made to feel very welcome. Facilities were good and a great playing field for kids which didn't have campers so they didn't bother anyone. Would recommend this site if you want value for money and don't like the big sites where you are crammed in like sardines. The site is in an excellent location not too far from anything. Also near the National Cycling route number 1, which as a family we used to go to Wells. On the route you go via Walsingham which is very nice and has an excellent chippy. Would go to this site again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful site. A big bonus for us was being able to pitch our tent next to our in-laws' caravan, something many other campsites don't cater for.
Our pitches were really spacious and the toilets and showers were clean and completely adequate. We bathed our toddler in the disabled toilet which was equipped with a baby bath on a stand, very useful.
The owners, as others have said, are extremely friendly and helpful without being over the top. This made our whole holiday more enjoyable and they gave us lots of useful tips about the area. Rules about noise etc. Were enforced in a firm, fair and friendly way!
We enjoyed visiting Wells, Walsingham, Brancaster amongst others. A lovely holiday!
