Site was excellent although can be windy, and I mean windy ! Take your storm pegs !
We were located near the newer toilet and shower block, modern and clean the showers were very good.
The shop has all you need very good for ccc site but supermarkets are close by (on the way to Eastbourne).
The staff are very helpful and I must say do very well on a busy site
The down side to this site is the old toilet block for ccc standards its terible in fact it wants pulling down,i must say the staff do all they can and it is kept clean. Are you listening ccc
On the whole a good site that is well kept and tidy. Pitches can be close together if busy, but on the whole the location makes this site. Would definitely return.

The facilities are pretty good. There are two lots of shower blocks at either end of the park. The newer looking buildings have the best showers etc. The shop is OK with all of the essentials.
The kids playground/play area was not big enough, although our eight-year old daughter spent most of her time there. Our tent was situated very close to the park as were others with children getting there as early as 7:30am and not leaving until about 9:30pm.
Eastbourne is only about 10 minutes away and there is a good retail park on the way with an Asda supermarket. There are also lots of other interesting places to see if you want to venture out.
Overall a good campsite with handy access to a private beach. The beach is stony so invest in a pair of Aqua Shoes from the camp shop.
We would go back but would stay on the other side of the site, or at least a little further away from the park.

Just come back from a fabulous 2 weeks at this site. First time visited. The closeness to the beach was superb and the kids (13,10 and 7) were in the sea twice a day. The area of Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill were spotlessly clean and well kept.
We were near the old toilet block and agree with the comments about the hot water.
It was very busy and we did have a few concerns about a significant number of cars which ignored the one way system and drove at speeds nearer 10/15 mph. The units were closely aligned but main issues here were with the campers who 'extended' their pitches (eg: caravan, awning then windbreaks to within a metre of other units. There were even 3 cars on some pitches - I say this because we have been told by other C&CC site wardens we cannot have more than 1 on a pitch) - all of these were seen but not acted on by the wardens.
Having said this we would definitely go again as the location and the area are well worth the visit.

This was our first visit to this site with my family of two adults plus kids age 11, 9 & 4. We chose this site having read other reviews on this website so unusually thought that I would post a comment on our experience.
I booked over the phone just before we left home, we are not members of the camping club but even so the lady taking the details was very nice and did not have any issue with this. On arrival we were well looked after and shown our pitch by a helpful man to a flat site with lots of space around with good well draining ground conditions that took a peg well. All the other campers were really nice with no late night noise and it was great to wake up only to hear the waves and birds at 7-00 rather than noisy campers. The toilet blocks were both up to scratch (Although the new one was nicer!) loads of hot water (Too hot for little ones though!), the location next to the beach was good and the small play area was enough to keep the kids amused when we were getting things ready. We went to Hastings one day, the caves, castle and seafront were great, Bodiam castle was a little further but the kids liked seeing one that was not 'All fallen down' and personally, I went for a run each morning to Pevensey castle which was lovely. A really good few days, would definitely recommend and will be coming again :-)

Site was excellent although can be windy, and I mean windy ! Take your storm pegs !
We were located near the newer toilet and shower block, although modern and clean the showers are not the greatest. We also had older kids playing around the block until around 10.30 at night and could get a bit noisy.
The shop has all you need in an emergency but supermarkets are close by (on the way to Eastbourne). The staff are helpful but not as friendly as other club sights.
On the whole a good site that is well kept and tidy. Pitches can be close together if busy, but on the whole the location makes this site. Would definitely return.

We have just returned from a two week stay at Normans Bay. As you would expect the facilities are always spotless and plenty of hot water. We were near the new blocks at the far end so cannot comment on the older block. As mentioned before it can get very windy. Newspapers can be ordered from the site shop.
Pevensey Bay is mile and half walk either along the road or beach. Lovely bakers, 3 pubs, post office, Boots a bank and a convenience store among others. If you use public transport the bus goes every 20 mins. The bus stop nearest the site is every hour. We used the train a lot too, also every hour from Normans Bay station.
Recycling facilities in Pevensey Bay in the car park near the Chinese Restaurant.

Love Norman's Bay, just down the road from us so we used this site to get to grips with camping. We had a wonderful time, lots of help from other campers! Good play area for smaller children, right opposite the beach for everyone else! Good dog walking area too. Fantastic facilities, best yet. Very flat site, which makes it a bit windy, and also as its so close to the railway line can be noisy, but not at night. Well stocked shop with fresh croissants and bread each day as well as all the other 'essentials' newspapers and other items including camping equipment, toys, beach stuff etc. Good place to go exploring from. Recommend this site to old and new campers, enjoy!

We took our first trip out in the new MH and visited Norman's Bay. Despite the site being very busy and the pitches are quite close together we did not feel too packed in, it wasn't noisy and we never had to queue for the facilities. The newer showers at the end of the site are nicer than the older building in the middle but both are perfectly acceptable.
Having the beach right next to the site is fantastic, we took bikes and had a nice ride over to Pevensey bay and Castle too.
Must be good, have just booked for the next bank holiday weekend.

Great site, right next to the beach. Can be a bit windy which we found when putting up trailer tent but we had a good laugh. Staff were helpful and little shop had everything you could think of. If you need anything Eastbourne is not far away. My only criticism is that the old toilet/shower block needs updating. The hot water was very hot, which was nice but the showers were a let down, it was a dribble rather than a shower. They were very clean though. Not much for kids to play on, but the beach and good weather made up for that.

A lovely beach site - the kids loved the playground area and the staff were very helpful!
The site was really windy as other reviewers have mentioned so be prepared!
We also found the water very very hot and needed to supervise children when using it!
I think we may have picked a bad weekend as the music from a nearby venue went on until the early hours of the morning.
Nonetheless we would definitely return!
