We have visited this campsite three times in 2011 it's fantastically placed literally on the beach. It can be a bit exposed so make sure you strap down your tents and bring a jumper for the evening.
Great for children as its small enough to keep an eye on them, circular route around the site perfect for scootering/bikes etc kids play area well equipped.
Dog walk runs adjacent to the site.
Staff really friendly and helpful. Roomy pitches.
Shop sells everything you need.
Toilet block spacious and very clean.

We visited with our caravan staying 5 nights over the royal wedding long weekend. We had previously visited in 2009 with a tent & had a fantastic time, we were not disappointed on this visit either & will definitely return again.
The site is located across a single track road from the beach, pebbles at high tide & a massive amount of wet sand at low tide. The location is 1.3 miles from Pevensey village centre with pubs, takeaways & assorted other shops and a few miles from Soverign Harbour where there is an ASDA superstore.
Although we only live 60 miles away there is a wealth of things to do in & around Eastbourne & you could be entertained for a few weeks.
The site has two facility blocks one which is very clean & functional but quite old & this closed on the 3rd May (possibly for refurbishment?),
The shop was well stocked & the prices were not inflated. There is a small children's play area with 2 swings, a slid & climbing frame, With good weather this site is difficult to beat due to its beach location & is very clean.

Had a very good 4 nights here with wife and 2 kids. Very quiet and not many people when we arrived on a Monday. The site is very clean and well kept and there was always one of the staff
Going around to keep an eye on things. The toilet/shower block was very well cleaned every day. Kids were very pleased with the beach although weather was cold. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. Very pleasant stay and would stay here again.

This was our second stay (last time was September 2010) and as good as the first.
A large'ish, very pretty campsite with good size pitches laid out non-conformly (which very much adds to the experience; we're sure there is a layout plan, but its not obvious) and the beach just a stone's throw away.
The facilities are excellent with two blocks and are the cleanest we've come across.
There's an excellent shop on site with everything needed including a good choice of food/drink, kites and buckets for the children and some camping accessories.
We highly recommend this to families and couples looking for space and a warm welcome.

A very quiet location; with the wind blowing gently in the right direction you can hear the waves at night!
The site is large (2oo pitches) and often busy. It seems crowded beacuse of the lack of trees & hedges to give a perception of privacy. However, your actual space is probably no different to any other club site.
The area is stunning: The site is equi-distant to the Bustle of Eastbourne and the more gentile Bexhill. Historic interest can be found in the castle of Pevensey, the Abbey and 1066 battle-field at Battle or the Martello Towers.
There are three loo blocks on the site and these always seem to be kept commendably clean and tidy. Unfortunately, with one loo block always locked (despite the site being full) and one shower out-of-order, there were just 4 showers between all the men. And one of those (the showers ~ not the men!) was a pathetic dribble: Not good enough for the price they charge.

The Hop Farm Touring And Camping Park
Set in 500 acres of beautiful, rolling Kent countryside. The Oast village on site is the World's largest Oast house collection and makes for a spectacular backdrop. Grass and hardstanding pitches for caravans, tents and motorhomes with electric option. Modern toilets and showers and multiple washing up facilities.
Small shop onsite and pub/restaurant at the entrance. The River Medway flows through the site, providing idyllic waterside pitches. Make the most of the location and try your hand at canoeing or fishing or simply sit back, unwind and enjoy wildlife spotting. Went for a weekend with hubby only. We had a lovely time, great beach, lovely spot for our tent. All facilities clean, staff lovely and helpful.
We didn't have the kids with us but we probably wouldn't take them here as we didn't spot a playground, I think I only saw one child all weekend. But we went for a quiet time alone with no chaos! We certainly got that here. Visited Beachy Head, amazing.
All in all, would recommend it to couples. Its perfect for getting away from it all.. Note, they charge extra £7 a night for non members.

This is the most well maintained site we have ever been to. Lovely grassy level ground and just right for tent pegs. Peaceful.
We had a super weekend here a bit breezy but I think this site will always be at least breezy becuase its practically on the beach!
Very nice wash blocks (heated),cleaned every day and never without soap.
A well stocked shop that also sells stuff like tent pegs, guy ropes, tin openers and even inflatables (for the beach)and board games. Fresh croissants etc are delivered in the mornings along with newspapers.
There is a fish and chip van on Saturday evenings and although I have tasted better they are nice :) but its popular so get there early!
The only negative I can think of about this site is its breezy location - so if you are prepared for this or choose a calm time. You really cant go wrong!

Enjoyed four night stay in summer holidays here. Other reviews have complained about staff but it's just a case that they have a dry sense of humour which I enjoyed straight away!
There is not a lot of space between pitches so you do feel crammed in. No real space for kids to play near tent without annoying other campers and the play area is woefully inadequate for the number of kids there were.
Beach is within spitting distance but only fun for kids in lowtide because it is mainly shingle.
All facilities were clean and adequate be they the old block or new.
Lots of people have enjoyed the chip van on a Saturday night but I have tasted better with a lot less grease.
Overall, a nice enough site but we won't be returning.

Arriving at this site I was reminded of the Quidditch World Cup camp site with all the mixed units and pennants flying and lack of formality in set out, really lovely !
Great facilities, washing up area, laundry, nice clean ladies and gents shower blocks ( 2 of each ) and really super staff, they were always helpful and friendly and when Jill realised it was one of our birthdays she chalked up a 'happy birthday' on the information board at the camp entrance which was a very nice personal touch, and a real surprise.
The sea is opposite the camp site ! right there ! The beach is a pebble one, but dogs are allowed on it, so whether you walk to the left or right there's miles of really enjoyable seaside walks there for the taking. We also swam in the sea most days, plunging straight in opposite the the campsite entrance, perfect !
All shops etc. Easily accessible and just 6 and a half miles, 20 minutes, from the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne. Brighton and Lewes are within 20 miles and so make nice day trips from here. I'd definitely like to stay here again.

Had a weekend of fantastic weather when we arrived and site was not busy as we avoided the bank holiday so had our pick of pitches. Old toilet block is clean- however dated so would recommend pitching over by the newer one. Beach is literally across the road- so on your doorstep. Shop is open often and well stocked. Childrens play area needs improvement- swing was broken while we were there ( not sure how long it had been out of action ) Would recommend a trip to the Eastbourne miniture railway for the children- and a trip to sovereign harbour for a look around for the adults. Overall site was what we wanted for a weekend as right on the beach- however not as scenic as some of the other C&CC sites- a bit to close to Pevensey and nearby housing estates/ station for us to want to stay longer.
