 A great campsite, It was very quiet the week we went, just before the main school holidays, however It was very busy at the weekends. Small site, river runs round three side. Pitch opposite the toilet block and play area next to river get shade during the day and evening sun.
Toilets/ showers block okay, not the best or cleanest I have seen, the ones under the Old Mill were modern and better.
The Old Mill cafe was only open until 6pm a bit of a missed opportunity by the owners,because there are no great pubs in the area.
All in all a super site if you are able to miss peak season, we would return.
Website link was not very good, best to ring and leave a message.

Excellent site - we stayed for 8 days just before the kids holidays - very peaceful, clean and pleasant campsite. A little more crowded when fully booked at the weekends but still not overly so. Always had hot water in the showers but could drop in pressure if all showers were being used at the same time.
Site recommended - good indian restaurant just up the road, but no local pub in walking distance.

We had a brilliant time on this site, the weather was really hot and the river water warm, we brought a dinghy and a ring it was great!
The beach was just down the road and try out the horse riding too that was fun, it's 15 pound for 1 hour - the leaflet is in reception.
Food in cafe was nice but expensive. The toilets and showers are very clean (showers are free).
It was a lovely camp we will certainly go again!

Fantastic friendly site with great facilities. It has a rippling stream in the background to sooth the stress away!
The site is well cared for in that it is always clean and tidy and the grass is always in great condition. This was our third visit and we met some great people and had wonderful time. A taxi to town is only £5 and there is an Indian Restaurant within walking distance.
A four star site in every respect well worth a visit!

Visited the campsite for a three night stay. Facilities were excellent lovely setting with the river running around the site. The only downside was that you can no longer walk into Carnarthon. However if you just want to stay on the site its very pleasant.

What a lovely site. Fairly level pitches all mixed in tents & caravans so nice relaxed atmosphere. Nice sized pitches with plenty of space for the kids to play. Playground is good for the little ones. there's a river running round the back which was nice. The kids loved playing down there. Would always want to supervise them though , especially little ones.
Site toilets clean & plentiful. Not very commercialised site and has just enough extras , cafe , shop etc should you need it. We'll definitely be returning.

Stayed here over easter this being our second visit. Lovely location, excellent clean facilities. The wardens are around most of the day and are very helpful. Great river for the kids to play on, make sure you take a boat. Dinghy you can spend hours in there. Five minute drive to Caernarvon, lovely chip shop 2 mins down the road, next to the Spar. 10 mins and you are in Llanberis the base of Snowdon. Cafe / garden center on site. Great for kids, not noisy. Would certainly go back again.

Just come back after our third visit and it still retains its pleasent atmosphere. The mill cafe serves the best camp site food I have ever tasted, a little expensive but superbly presented in a fantastic dining area. New shower / toilet block now finished which compliments the one already there, clean and tidy with hot water always available which you dont always get on a camp site. Perfect position for snowdon. Fantastic .... Will go again.

How right you all are! Friendly, clean and very well placed. Close to town, but you just wouldn't know it. We had a disaster with a faulty Diablo that wants to be a collander when it grows up, and Riverside stored all our stuff for us in their garage whilst the lovely people at 14th Peak sorted a replacement for us. Great site, the beach down the road is a hidden treasure!

This was our first family Camping experience and we couldn't have wished for a more perfect site.
The owners were there to greet us and walked us around the site showing us the superb facilities, which throughout the holiday remained immaculately clean and tidy.
We chose a riverside pitch with beautiful views over the river Seiont and the sound of flowing water was very tranquil and relaxing especially in the evenings. The childrens play area was excellent and kept our two entertained for hours.
We found the site location was ideally situated for local amenities and days out which we used to full advantage.
Don't have anything negative to say about this site and we will definitely be going again now we have got the camping bug.
