August 2005 We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this campsite. Very nice grounds with clean toilet and shower blocks which are free to use. The site is particularly good for children as there is a playground in the centre. Although the stream circling the campsite is very pretty, it means parents of very young children have to be extra careful their kids dont wander near there unsupervised. Unfortunately, the small shop does not sell any perishables and we drove daily to a nearby supermarket for our food. (There is also a garden centre and cafe on-site, but we did not visit them)

July 2005 Beautiful site with excellent clean facilities, friendly welcome and helpful staff. Idyllic setting nestling in a sheltered area by a small river.
Level site with lots of space, great play area for the children. Ideally situated for North Wales tourist areas. 5 minutes from Caernarfon which is ideal for all shopping needs and things to do on rainy days.
Highly recommended. The nursery/garden center is also well worth a visit. Mill cafe on site with good selection of meals etc. though we didn't actually use it.

July 2005 This was our first time camping, and we could not have picked better. The site was immaculate and the toilets and showers where very clean. There is a play area for the children and a nice garden centre. It cost £12.50 per night for 3 people and electric was available at extra cost but you needed to pre book. We camped next to the river and lost count the amount of squirrels we saw. The owners where very helpful and friendly, we are definitely coming back. Also to the nice family from Derbyshire my daughter Helen says hello to Molly and Ellie.

July 2005 Excellent, only phoned on the thursday and they reserved us a place. Second visit - but still just as good. The river kept the kids and the dog entertained for hours. The cafe is a little bit on the expensive side but is well worth the treat!! Toilets and showers clean as are the washing up areas. The couple that look after the site are really friendly and accomodating. There is also a good walk area for the dogs. Definatly worth a return visit before the end of the season.

July 2005 Nice quiet campsite, not too big. Good for the kids, nice sized park which was visible from all parts of the park, so you can keep an eye on the kids.
Toilets nicely decorated and clean. Good location, easy to get to shops for food etc. River pretty, good dog walking area at the back of garden centre for dog lovers. Will go back, perfect for a quick weekend peaceful break

May 2005 What a great site almost completely surrounded by the river level with decent drainage worth every one of it's four stars. The owners and staff were very kind and helpful, toilets and other facilities are excellent. Nice cafe and garden centre, good dog walk area we will be going back.

April 2005 This is a truly idyllic campsite, especially if you camp right by the river, which surprisingly does not keep you awake (well, not if you've been walking all day!)
The toilets and showers, although not huge are perfectly adequate in size for this relatively small site and were well maintained and clean and pleasant.
This is a very quiet site without all the paraphanalia of a commercial site - the biggest entertainment is the garden centre which is lovely if you are in need of a grown up tranquil moment while the kids are splashing at the side of the river.
However, it is very well positioned between Llanberis and Caenarfon so you are close to everything you might need (in our case an air bed pump).
The only warning I have is beware when it rains as the river rises and you may find your barbeque threatening to float away! The grass also gets a little churned up in the rain (depending on the traffic to and from your tent) so be prepared to get muddly when putting up or taking down.
But all in all this is a lovely, quiet and tranquil site. Which is big on low noise levels. Perfect for a getaway.

July 2004 Very nice & peaceful site. Not long since started camping, this was only our second time under canvas. The campsite is very clean, pitch was nice and dry even after the rain that we had, met a lot of nice people there, some of whom we have met since. There is a playground for the kiddywinks a place to walk your dog, a good cafe which we only used a couple of times as the centre of Caernarvon is only 2 miles away. Watch out for the squirrels as they are cheeky little rascals and may pinch some food if left available. Very relaxing by the river. Going again in March this year for 7 nights this time. Well worth the travelling as there are lots of places to go and to see.

September 2004 As soon as we arrived the first thing I seen was a Kingfisher bird doing its thing in the river, I am not a bird watcher but I was made up to see it as I have only seen them on tele before and the owl was quite good though we never saw it but heard it hooting away after dark.
The facilities are modern and very clean, the weather was very bad the weekend we went, the inside of our tent was a mess due to the rain yet every time I went to the toilet they still seemed to be clean and tidy.
We had a riverside pitch and in the morning when we woke there was a heron outside not surprising really because all day long there were fish jumping out of the water. The staff are very friendly and seemed to want to bend over backwards to make sure we had a good stay.

August 2004 Excellent site. We stayed for four nights over the bank holiday weekend. Facilities are clean and tidy. Ground was very wet due to the terrible weather but the owners had roped off the worst areas. Childrens playground is a real highlight of the site - our 2 year old had a wonderful time playing on here with the older kids. Lots to do in the local area even if the weather is poor. Would definitely visit again.
