August 2004 An excellent family campsite: staff were friendly, shower blocks were up there with the best, and location was perfect - although a local pub would have been nice! Lots of noisy kids (mine included) having fun before the sun went down, but quietened down nicely after that.
We had a great pitch right next to the river which not only made an excellent peaceful backdrop for our meals but also provided the kids (boys aged 12, 11 and 9) with an on-site water park! Surprisingly, no problems with midges, although wasps were a bit of a nuisance.
We walked up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon to you and me!) and the kids swam in the Llyn LLydaw reservoir on the way back down. We kayaked on Llyn Padarn at Llanberis (thanks to the very nice peolple at Surf-Lines), and visited Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Found Caernarfon a bit depressing, but I guess you don't come to Snowdonia for high street shopping!

July/August 2004 This is one of the best campsites I have been too. We have just returned from a 10 night stay here. We chose a pitch next to the river, the sound of the water is very relaxing. The toilet block was always very clean, and so were the showers, which are free and hot at all times of the day. The Mill Cafe in the garden centre is lovely, but a little bit pricey to eat there often. There is no shop on site, but locally you have Tesco, Somerfield and a Spar shop. Good indian restaurant/take away about 1/2 mile away. We would definitely stop here again. Shame you can not book good weather only had 2 nice days!

July 2004 Spent 3 days at Riverside Camping. What a superb site - in a super location - with very friendly and helpful staff. This site has almost everything, a lovely river, Nursery Garden, a great Cafe, almost new toilet block, with washing and shower facilities, kept in a spotless condition. The site is located just outside Caernarfon, with easy access to Llanberis and Snowdon, with the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula in easy reach.
Will certainly be coming back, but for longer next time. John and Dee

Aug 2004 and May 2004 This really is one of the best sites I have been on, excellent showers/toilets, always clean, friendly staff and a superb location next to the shallow river, but please dont take my word for it, go somewhere else.... you may get the last pitch just as I'm booking!.

3 times in 2003 We visited this site late on in 2002 and loved it so much we keep going back and are booked again for May 2004. The fields are flat and well drained the toilets and showers are immaculate, there is a park for the children and if you have the weather the river is brilliant. You grab your rubber ring and go to the top of the field and float all the way down round the bend and end up in a still pool at the bottom of the field. River is also good for cooling down refreshments! Would definately recommend

August 2003 This delightful campsite is situated just outside Caernarfon, about six miles from Llanberis. There is an excellent Indian restaurant less than a mile to the east along the A4086.
Riverside Camping nestles in a loop of the River Seiont. We pitched our tent next to the water, but were not at all troubled by the gentle rippling. It was wonderful to wake early in the morning and see a heron stalking it's breakfast. During our short visit we also saw a pair of black kite.
Facilities are excellent. There are two clean shower blocks, one of which also contains a laundry room. There is a lovely café, which is shared with the garden centre and serves wonderful food and drinks. There is also a small play area for children.
The campsite is situated well off the main road and tall trees provide shelter along the banks of the river. We never met the owners, although they were very helpful when we phoned to book.
If we were to camp in North Wales again, Riverside would be our first choice.
