We have just spent a week here on our first camping holiday, so I don't really have anything to compare with.
Unfortunately when we arrived it was raining which was a shame as this gives a slightly different view of things. I called in to the small reception and was greeted by a man who showed us to our pitch as we had Electric hook up.
The site is situated in the tree's and is beautiful and green with well kept grass. Our pitch was right next to the river, which is very noisy especially after rain. I found the noise of the river a little disruptive to my nights sleep, but also an advantage early in the evening as it drowned out other noise on the site and our own voices, so wasn't worried about being too quiet. The ground was very firm even with the rain, so take a good mallet!
We have 3 children and they adored the park and the expanse of fields to play on. There are always lots of children on the park, which was great as I felt relaxed with there safety as the park is central as are the toilets, showers, and washing up area.
I couldn't accurately review the toilets and showers as the rain creates muddy feet, but I did find the showers a little below standard. The toilets in the ladies were ok. And cleaned daily. There is however another shower block with one ladies toilet and one Gents toilet. The showers were quite clean, but I had to keep pressing the button as the water kept going off. The dish washing area was kept clean.
All in all it was a beautiful place with a pretty garden centre next to the site, the weather probably spoilt it a little for us.
There is an Indian close by in walking distance called Sopna that we visited. We had a lovely meal there in nice surroundings, staff maybe need more training on there friendliness.
Caernarfon is a nice place and is about half a mile away from the site. Also less than half a mile a way there is a spar and chip shop which we found pleasant too.

Have just returned from a three night stay, fantastic location, very peaceful site.
Positives: Very clean site, toilet block/showers spotless, good children's play area, friendly helpful owners, level site, lovely setting by river, great for kids to paddle in.
Negatives:No shop on site, considering the £25 per night fee, made it feel a shade expensive. In all a nice no frills site, that's close to attractions. Would I return, yes due to location and cleanliness. Llanberis (15 mins), Spar and Morrisons (5 mins drive).

Very pleasant campsite, plenty of space, flat, camping ground. Lovely location and river is safe for children to play in. Equipped play area was popular with children.
No music after 10pm rule is very welcome and was generally well observed, despite this being the day of the England v USA 1-1 draw in the World Cup. One tent carried on playing music until 10.30 on one night but everyone else was quiet.
Well located close to Caernarvon on Caernarvon to Llanberis road.
Owners very friendly and helpful.

This site definitely has the WOW factor.
We turned up on spec and were given a very warm welcome by Barry & Michelle (the site owners). The site was very busy but due to a cancellation they were able to give us a pitch with EHU right along side the river Seiont.
The pitches are large and level, and the ground, on our visit was very dry and reasonably peg friendly.
There are two ablution blocks, a washing up area and a laundry - all of which were spotlessly clean. Recycling bin for glass and skips for other rubbish.
There is a play area for children and plenty of open spaces for ball games.
The site is dog friendly.
At the site entrance is a rather nice garden centre and on site there is a cafe which we didn't visit but was very popular.
The location is so peaceful and picturesque that we could hardly believe this site is only one and half miles from Caernarfon town centre - it is like being deep in the countryside.
We will certainly be revisiting Riverside.

Just had a really enjoyable weekend at this site. Staff were really friendly, site was flat. Open and with lots of playing area for the kids.
Ground is 'peg friendly' which is a first for me.
Facilities nice and clean. Showers not time limited and could be adjusted for temperature easily.
Location is perfect for Snowdonia and local beaches (Dinas Dinlle is a lovely, quiet, sandy beach nearby that has loos, small hills to climb, rocks to clamber over and a small shop - good for families.)
Would not hesitate to recommend this site to others.

We have used this site for many years, the site has got better every visit. Toilets and showers first class. Very natural scenery.
Perfect location for snowdonia, anglesey and the peninsula. Very nice garden centre with restaurant for full breakfast sandwich or full meal. Owners very helpful and made very welcome at all times.
Caernafon is only 5 minutes away by car where there is supermarkets, chippy, kebab house, kfc etc. Kebab house is well worth a visit. If you fancy a visit to this site you do need to ring and reserve a space as the site fills up very very quick.

Had a lovely stay at this campsite.
Tents are situated around the edges of a large playing field, and well spaced out.
There is a nice cafe and the toilets are clean with plenty of hot water.
Their is a children's play area with the usual swings and slides, and the kids had masses of space to run around playing football etc
The river runs alongside the campsite, and as the weather was very warm, it was great for chilling the wine and beers.
All in all a nice campsite, and would definitely go again.

Just arrived home after 5 days there. We found this site to be one of the best we have stayed on in the last five years. Toilets clean showers always very hot and never had to queue. Reception staff were more than helpful. There is a very good cafe on site and we found the prices reasonable and you can go on the internet on their computer for 2.50 per half hour. Although this week was not very good weatherwise we will certainly go there again as this is a very beautiful area in which to stay. We thought the hookup charge was a little steep at 5.00 per night, but,H ey you can't have everything.

Riverside is the best camping holiday we have ever had. From booking to arriving we had constant contact with the owners and were greeted like friends, even though it was our first visit. The staff are always around and more than helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them.
The site is gorgeous, very tranquil even during the busy summer, we stayed the second week in August. Plenty of toilet and shower facilities, all of which are kept very clean and close to where ever you're pitched. The site has a lovely garden centre and the cafe is definitely worth a visit, may seem a bit pricey but well worth it as all food is fresh and from the local area.
It is within easy distance of places to visit, we went to Snowdon, the Slate Museum and beach among other things. There is a small shop on site that sells washing tablets, spare gas etc and three supermarkets within a ten minute drive, the owners gave us a map and directions. There is also a small convenience store and chip shop less than five minutes drive.
All in all a truly great holiday, we will definitely be going again and would highly recommend this site to everyone.

We have just returned from a weeks camping at this site. This is the first non Camping and caravanning club site that we have visited and I was very impressed!
The children's play area is superb and the river is stunning and great fun to!
The facilities were clean enough although could be better.
This is the perfect location for exploring Snowdonia etc and I would definitely return again!
