This is an excellent campsite with great facilities and a beautiful location right next to the river.
The showers & toilets were clean & tidy.
The campsite was busy (first weekend in August) but didn't feel at all crowded. The play area in the centre of the site is great for kids. This is the second time we have stayed here and we will be back.

Week after Easter, only a few vans on site. This site is superb, flat pitches, river on three sides, well away from roads, toilets and showers are clean and tidy. Electric is £5 per night which is a bit pricey. Otherwise it is faultless.
Garden centre and cafe on site, but not much else within 5 minute walk. Might be a bit dodgy in bad weather as the river could flood easily.

Our second visit to Riverside and as usual we had a fantastic holiday. We adore this camp site, it is one of the best we have been to, the atmosphere is lovely and the whole place is a wonderful little haven, so relaxing! It is very tidy and well kept, the gentleman who runs it is very nice and happy to help any time. We had a couple of power cuts due to teething problems with new electrics but he was on the job as soon as was possible and was very apologetic but no one seemed to mind as the whole place is so nice!
The showers and toilets are excellent and were always spotless over the busy Easter weekend, despite the site being full it did not feel crowded as the lay out allows for lots of space and open areas. The garden centre is also great, the Cafe is definitely worth a visit!
There are lots of things to do in the surrounding area, we visited Angelsey, Porthmadog, Black Rock Sands and lots more.
Can't wait to return in the summer. Faultless, you will not be disappointed, Riverside is super!

Well, what can we say, in all the years we have been camping (and its been quite a few) this is the BEST site we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. First of all it is in a fab setting, it is tidy and extremely clean (ok a few muddy foot prints going into the main shower block, but with crocks or flip flops on you won't notice once you'r inside). The loo blocks are immaculate, with free hot showers, sockets for hairdryers etc (nice touch), a super laundry with detergent tablets available from reception and a freezer for your ice blocks. There are 2 main shower/toilet blocks, one is unisex which is good for families, with each individual toilet, shower and sink unit behind lockable doors, the others are separate with 4 loos and 2 shower units in each. There is also 2 separate washing up points with 2 sinks in each. The site itself is lovely and flat, with lots of electric hook-ups. The owners cant be more helpful and take regular walks around offering assistance if required. The garden centre is super, and although we didn't take advantage of it there is a cafe attached which apparently was very nice. So all in all its a brilliant site, which we will definitely go back to. One final thing, we went over the Easter bank holiday weekend, the site was full, but you could sit outside and not hear a thing, it was so quiet it was quite strange. All in all for a tent, 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs with electric for 4 nights cost £116 but worth every penny.

Stayed here for 4 nights last weekend in October. Weather was grim. Fortunately we requested a pitch change prior to arrival - luckily we did as the river Seiont burst its banks while we slept. Next morning half the site was under water. We were approached by the owners Brenda and Don who kindly assured us that where we were pitched was safe and supplied us with a pallet for outside our tent. Very friendly people who understood everyone's dilemma with the flooding-which had gone by Monday morning.
Facilities clean, plenty of hot water. Reasonable rates. Have been to Riverside before and will definitely return.

First time in our caravan very helpful provided with information leaflet and site map.
Scenic dog walks with the river close by.Would recommend even if you do not have a dog.
Many pubs and shops close by with a good site shop for any of those camping things you may not have got or have forgotten, like we did.
The toilets and showers are kept locked at all times with a £10 deposit we were provided with a key to enter which we did not use as we just used our caravan but it looked clean and tidy from the outside.
Quiet site with a enter time limit at night but facilities for late arrivals.

Really nice campsite, Friendly staff and management, lovely location. The toilet blocks are fine, what you would expect, as was the laundry room, however the dryer isn't very good and cost me £3 to dry half a load. There was a freezer were you could freeze icepacks free of charge, which was ideal. The playground (which the kids loved) is ideally located in the middle of the site, which meant we could watch the kids playing from the tent. The downside of our holiday was that the River overflowed in a heavy rainfall and flooded half the site. We were lucky as we were on higher ground. But a lot of people had to move their tent, and in worse cases some actually went home. The staff dealt with the situation as best as they could. Also with the rain, the ground was very muddy, and we were told we could not park our cars on the grass, we had to park it up on the car park which is about 100 yard away and up hill. The path around the campsite could do with being widend, the cars were causing the grass to go even more muddy. Wellies were essential! On the whole we had a good holiday and made the best of a bad situation caused by heavy rain. Unfortunately you can't predict the weather. We would go back again, and would recommend people to try this site, as we found on the whole this to be a good, friendly site. There is a local spar and chippy, and supermarkets are about a 15 minute drive away. It is an ideal location to explore North Wales.

Nice level site with river running alongside. Pitch was waterlogged when we arrived due to very heavy rain that day, but as we were pitching alongside friends we were allowed to pitch our tents any way we liked in order to avoid the puddles.
Small shop in reception but unfortunately this was only open for a couple of hours each day ( and these varied) so we never managed to catch it open!
We had read reviews of the site before booking which said that the facilities were spotless but unfortunately this was not the case during our stay. The toilets and showers were dirty every day - whatever time of day we went they were always very dirty. Such a shame as the location and site itself is lovely. Only once did we see a member of staff on site.

There is a really nice river running all the way round the site and it is very shallow (takes a little getting use to at night when trying to get to sleep), toilets, showers and washing facilities were spot less.
You have to know your pitch though we had 1 down the bottom by the river & by 6.00pm the sun was hidden by the trees & it went cool, but the top pitches had the sun most of the evening.
The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area.
There is a cafe on site which makes home cooked food & is excellent.
We had a great time and are looking forward to going back soon

We stayed at this site for a long weekend at the beginning of June, what a gem!
The site is spotlessly clean. The toilets and showers were always clean and the hot water was really hot!
The children’s playground is only small but ideally situated in the middle of the site. This meant that you were able to relax outside your tent and still be able to supervise the kids. The site was quite busy but there was still ample space for them to play football, cricket and Frisbee without annoying other campers. The river is also a great place for them to play and even swim!
The only downside is that there is no shop onsite but this is only a minor niggle as the site is only 5 minutes away from a Spar and Chip shop!
The pitches are a fantastic size; we easily fitted our Vango Diablo 900XP on with plenty of room for the car. My only objection is that we were charged an extra ₤5.00 per night because the tent is over 7 meters. I really didn’t see the point as we did not encroach on to anyone else’s pitch, there was more than enough room. Would possibly contest this next time!
Will definitely go back to this site, it’s a great base to visit the beaches and Caernarfon.
