Stayed here the bank holiday. Good points. Access is great of the the A55 trunk road junction & your there. Staff nice & because my pitch was in an awkward area they use there tractor to put you on & off pitch which saved me having to think about it & burn my clutch out.
Grounds were kept tidy & the views are priceless when the sun is out. Bad points if you get near the high end of the park you get the better views but it's like living on a motorway hard shoulder. Traffic never stops flowing & you can tell when the ferries have docked in Anglesey because heavy goods traffic trebles for about an hour.
The vans near the lower end of the park to me were too cramped together. Couldn't swing a cat between the pitches. Felt sorry for these people as they have paid Premium prices for a pitch staring straight at someone else's van or awning & not much chance of a sea view.
The train line never bothered me as they were very quiet & only lasted a second. Toilet blocks were clean but water was dangerously hot. I couldn't shower so used my own. But wife & kids coped using there facilities.
£31. 00 per night was the fee for standard pitch. I have had fully serviced hard standing for that money else were, but it's all about the location. Don't think there is anywhere else that give you views like this place.
Missing a trick on the reception. Need to make up a convenience store selling basics. Nearest decent shop is tesco Abergele 2 miles away.

The first point, the noise, you know you are going to have it but what do you expect, right next to the A55. I am a very very light sleeper and it did not affect me. Go prepared, good set of ear plugs.
Two shower blocks, one next to reception dated but in process of refurb. The second block which is very good but would be better if had mop and bucket to clean floor of grass from previous user.
My personal opinion is with it being a much larger site I felt hemmed in. On arrival was allocated hardstanding pitch and, with being new to this, we did not have a long enough hookup and gravel pegs.
Staff helpful. Hired and bought necessary equipment. Reasonably priced. Always member of staff about if needed. Site Warden on hand.
One recommendation - visit the Fair View Inn for a meal. Lamb shank to die for.
Would revisit but only as a stopover on longer journeys because prefer smaller sites.

We stayed here in May, having researched the site we were aware of road noise. The site is well looked after, grounds immaculate, the views are good to the sea, we opted to be near the railway as we thought that would be the quietest- trains did not bother us at all, hardly noticed them- road noise could not hear the first night as the sea was loud, 2nd we heard a bit and third nothing as the wind had changed.
The staff are excellent on this site and very helpful, showers are hot- only criticism would be young children may find them a bit too hot as no regulator- ice cream van came on the site when we were there-not far to the village.
We walked the coastal path to Pensarn which was excellent and took up a few hours. LLandudno is just down the road and the site is a good base for touring North Wales. We met a lot of people on this site who were repeat caravanners to the site.
It is a well run site, not noisy as in 'unruly people'. I could not understand the comments of not driving on the grass in previous reviews as you have to drive across to get to the pitch, some of the pitches are super serviced, the ones near the road are steep and the site tends to tow the van there for you as we had a mover they were happy to leave us to sort out ourselves.
All in all a good few days.

A good site very pretty, but horrible traffic noise from the road, all night long lorries thundering past.
The wardens are nice and friendly but a bit over the top when pitching up. Our wheel nearly went over the grass, and we were told that the owners were watching us !
As it was early season they were still doing some improvements on the pitches etc, and one of the washrooms was closed, I don't know where the tv room or games room was, as we only had our 2 year old grandson with us this was no problem. A little area for kiddies to play would have been nice with some swings etc. I think it was a bit expensive for early season with limited facilities. The sea views are amazing just a pity about the road noise.

We arrived at the site on a Friday afternoon for a one nights stay whilst we had to visit LLandudno. The site was fairly quiet with about 8 caravans there. We were shown to our pitch which was close to the shower block. All pitches are hard standing with sea views.
The shower block was a little cool in temperature and a little dated, however, the showers, which are in the price were steaming hot.
The site is very well laid out and close to LLandulas (5 minute walk) where there is a bus stop - £8. 25 for three to LLandudno, pubs and shops.
I would definitely stay here again as is is a lovely site close to all the North Wales seaside resorts as well as Anglesey. There was very minor road noise from the A55, which didn't affect my nights sleep and I would pitch nearer the railway line next time as the trains are less frequent than the cars.

Just spent the new year weekend at this site and I must stay 'it's not what it says on the box'. ok to be fair the site is very well kept and the wardens & staff are very good and friendly! When we arrived we were taken to our pitch by the warden, which would have been an impossible plot to pitch on had we not had a motor mover (although we were offered the tractor to site us - I still can't see how it could have got us on site without going on the grass ! which we were banned from )
The site was very exposed and extremely windy (a price you pay for a sea view ?). The shower block (not what is pictured on their website or brochure ) was basic, although clean, with no shower curtains no hand driers and no heating on and left a lot to be desired.
As per a lot of previous reviews there is a constant noise from the A55 which basically passes over the campsite and is worse during the night (wait an hour from the Irish ferry docking in Holyhead at 0030 hours and it's truck after truck thundering past for 2 hours)
The railway line passes on the other side of the site and to fair was unnoticeable compared to the road noise.
Locally there is a petrol station - which has a stock of basic provisions and 2 pubs in the village (there is a chip shop and village store but both were closed for the festive period - and looked as though they had been closed or run down for a lot longer)
There's a good bus service to Rhyl and Llandudno which stops not far from the site entrance. The beach (rocks boulders etc) is a five minute walk and has a good cycleway all along the coast.
All in all we had a good weekend but wouldn't return here.

Nice site but you can hear the road and the railway. Shower and toilets are kept very clean, but the showers are push type and there is only 2hooks for clothes no curtain so water wets your clothes and shoes, and getting dressed on a wet floor is difficult. No shop on site I asked about buying some toilet blue to be told we only sell awning pegs. She had not a clue what I was on about. There is nothing for the kids and no dog walk, but you have beach nearby. I know it sounds a bit negative but the site was alight I have stopped at worse, I just feel they charge top dollar for a site with no atmosphere and nothing special

This was a very nice park the facilities were very clean, the staff are very friendly. We took our 3 dogs we were charged for them but there were no facilities for them, no dog bins or water bowls no hooks for leads outside the loos and no dog walk. To stay on site a little longer was £5 I think this would have been better charged at £1 per hour. It would have been useful to have been told about the beech walk behind the railway line. It would have been useful to have a little shop for bread milk and newspapers, and an information sheet nearest shop, take away etc.

Absolutely fantastic campsite. If you end up on a hard standing with a awning make sure you take extra\ strong pegs, we broke most of ours due to the limestone ballast, if your lucky enough to get one in don't worry they are easy enough to get out.
Very quiet apart from the railway track and the A55 but did not bother us at all. Views of the sea. Breath taking sun sets
Plenty of showers and toilets spotless available 24hrs a day. Cleaned every morning,
Wild rabbits are a joy to watch first thing
Staff really pleasant and really welcome you very polite,

On arrival was told they would tow Van to pitch - nice touch and saved us doing the reversing!
Pitch on top of rail line which was very busy but didn't bother us in fact found it amazing that trains were so frequent - what a service!
Site a long way from main road so can only think some people must have very sensitive hearing
Asked for sea view which technically I got but hedging so high at embankment that we couldn't actually see anything
Beach handy for dog but not much else
Showers/toilets clean but unprepossessing and quite a distance from our pitch.
If thinking of pub-grub be aware food stops early so you need to plan carefully, also chippies shut about 8 so, again, make sure you are back from day trips in time to get fed. We had to travel about 5 miles to get a kebab !
Surprised there are no recycling opportunities - it is second nature at home & I separated our trash to put in separate bins but all classified as 'rubbish', there are plenty of bins so why not label paper, cans, plastic etc etc
Everybody else seemed happy so perhaps it was just that we have different priorities !
