Just returned from a 2 night weekend break. I agree with most of the other comments about the site:-

POSITIVES:-

Easy location just off the A55, nice easy tow.
Every unit has a sea view
Very clean and tidy site
Friendly staff
Good shower/toilet facilities
Brilliant cycle route along the coast, excellent for children as its traffic free, just go out of the site, turn left under the bridge, down the hill and you hit the beach, you can go left or right, its an easy route for cyclists and great for dog owners.

NEGATIVES:-

Expensive @ £24 a night, there is nothing on the site.
The charge for an awning even if you don't put one up is crazy, how do they get away with that one I ask?
There are residents on site so its difficult to book a pitch as they get booked up quickly, they have a lot of sited vans.
The noise from the A55 takes some getting used to, but, I would prefer that than drunken roudy gangs and this site has none of that!

We enjoyed the site, however, we felt that it wasn't value for money as there are loads of other sites in the area much cheaper with more facilities, this site has nothing for children at all, they just ride their bikes around the site all day. They need to re-think their charging structure or they may lose a lot of customers

Have been to this site a few times over the last few years.

Stay here as we have family in abergele the site is ok as a base but wouldn't spend a full holiday here.

The staff were very nice and helpful but wedged between the main 55 and the railway there is not a lot here.

Fantastic site with great views and friendly helpful staff. Great location for surrounding areas with bus route to Llandudno, Colwyn and Conway only 5 mins walk away. Local village is also very accessible with a couple of good pubs. Beach only 5 mins walk away with club house that caters well for children. If you like Indian food I highly recommend the 'Asia' restaurant in Llandudno, its the nicest Indian meal I have ever had and this says a lot as I have eaten all over the world. Overall, a great site with high standards. I will definitely be returning

My husband and I chose this site because of its location to Llandudno, where we have relatives, and the fact that it had WIFI access and was rated 5 stars. We did ask when booking not to be placed too near to children, but upon arrival were put next to a family with 4 young children, when there were other pitches vacant. After being charged an extra £2 for our awning, we couldn't pitch it as the hardstanding pitch was too solid for us to get the pegs into so we did not use it, but were still charged.
The first thing we noticed after arrival was that the A55 was not only visible, but the sound of traffic was bad and a train line ran in front of the sea. So you had traffic behind you and trains in front of you. Sleeping was really difficult because of the noise, and children were allowed to constantly run across our pitch, scream and shout and worst of all throw stones at our motorhome! We did ask to be moved the next morning and was given a pitch in front of the sea, next to the train line. We arrived back to the site one day to find that someone had left the water tap on in front of our pitch, and consequently our chairs were wet and our pitch was in a puddle of 2 inches of water. Also we had no internet access until our last day when a new ariel was erected.

Chose this site because it advertised wi-fi access and seemed to have the basic amenities we wanted. Stayed here for 2 nights. Explained before booking that computer access was very important and told we would be sited on a pitch that would pick up their wireless signal. However, not only were we unable to get a signal in our motorhome, the on-site ‘club room’ signal was useless. Other people trying to use this facility had the same problems.

When we arrived we were asked if we had an awning, to which I replied that we had a ‘sun-canopy’ not full awning but that it was so windy we were very unlikely to use it. We were told not to pitch it on the grass if we did put it up. We didn’t use the sun-canopy but were still charged £2 per night. I was not told when we booked that there was an additional charge for it.

Shower blocks very clean but too cold to take a shower.

Waste disposal facilities didn’t cater for motorhomes (i.E. No ‘drive over’ drain).

Charged for dogs (2) although there were no on-site facilities for them

Some sand beyond the rocks but we couldn’t see how to get down there safely.

We went here for a weekend due to our regular site still being closed. It is quite expensive at £50 for 2 nights with awning, 2 adults, 3 children and a dog but we just wanted a weekend away. The staff were friendly and took us to our pitch which backed on to the railway and the the sea beyond. So we had a good view but a trains passed every 30min day and night. Although I think the other side was worse as it backed on to the A55.

Everything was fine until later the first day when we had our caravan heating on, TV and the I put my kettle on which tripped our electric and next doors. The staff came out and put it back on but the caravanners next to us told us they came last year and the same happened and had been told when they booked that it had been sorted. It was 10.00pm and it happened again with out me having the kettle on.

Although the toilets and showers were very clean they were quite cold so I didn't shower the children. It seemed they staff were concerned in making sure the grass was cut and that there was no litter. The shop and chip shop is a good walk away and not a very nice walk. There is also no children's play area or play field.

Had a great stay. A small 2 minute walk out of the site down a road/path to a lovely beach. Only a sandy beach at low tide but lots of rocks and places to explore and great fishing.

Staff very friendly but the site is very very noisy from the nearby motorway (A55) My caravan was probably no more than 7 metres from the dual carriageway. Most pitches face the sea with the motorway behind you and a train line between you and the sea.

The pitches are a bit strange in that they are mostly very small hardstanding with a kerb edge and don't seem to have any structure to their layout. They are not numbered and you are shown to your pitch. I was taken to a pitch but a car was parked on it as the pitch the car was from had no place to park his car.

My pitch for example was a hardstanding pitch, the exact footprint of the caravan with a kerb edge and I mean the exact down to the centimetre. I backed in my caravan with only inches either side of the caravan wheels to the kerb edge. I had to park my car in front of my caravan which then blocked in the neighbours caravan and his view was of my car ! If I went out for the day without my car he would not have been able to leave the site! I was not allowed to put up a sun canopy over the grass which was really just for the kids to take their shoes off in the rain but I had to walk on the grass to get to my caravan door anyway.

Shower block was clean but dark and dated but they have a new block (which was locked on my visit) with the new pitches being built. Personally why not make them big all weather pitches, room for Caravan, awning and car they have loads of room. Be great to have its own access down to the beach and its possible that that they are trying to get this as there is a bit of land with access under the train line next door.

Would I go back, I think so if I could guarantee a booking of one of the few normal size hardstanding pitches closer to the sea and the new shower block was open. Great site, lovely part of the world, the views make up for the noise.

Our second visit to this site, excellent view - do not expect a peaceful holiday though, it is SO noisy from the very busy main road, 24 hour noise. But apart from that the site cannot be faulted, toilets and showers clean, site is clean. Staff very friendly, could not find the dog walk, may be wrong thought they had one? Just short walk down the hill to the beach. Not the best, but nice walk, unfortunately a little run down.
All in all lovely site despite the road noise, we would still return. The only worry I have is the fact that so many of these camp sites are now letting their pitches out to season tourers, so the park is full and the best pitches gone!

We stayed only 2 nights on this well kept site. The pitch was hardstanding over looking the sea, with the Little Orme in the distance. Staff were helpful, showing us down to our pitch despite the heavy rain.

Pitches are all well spaced and all seem to have a good view, however try to get a pitch well away from the road if you want to get a decent sleep, the noise never stops.

There are a couple of pubs in walking distance, and a supermarket in Colwyn.

This site is in a good position to explore the North Wales coast- Conwy is a must and try to visit the Welsh Mountain Zoo. If you like walking or birdwatching, visit thr Great Orme at Llandudno, for those who don't walk you can use the tram or cable car to the top.

Very pleasant site, well maintained, toilet/shower block clean with plenty of hot water.

Gently sloping site most pitches overlook the sea. We requested a hard standing pitch, which consisted of a kerbed, stone filled area about the same size as our caravan. To access this pitch you had to drive / walk across grass field, I thought the whole point of a hard standing pitch was mud free access.

The site is very close to the A55 (motorway type road- 70mph) access to the site is off the exit slip road from this very busy/noisy road.

The noise on site was horrendous, the only respite was between 1-4 am.

Not a site if you want peace and quiet, but good if you are hard of hearing and need good access to surrounding areas.
