Easy location just off the A55 main route for a overnight stop off. Lovely maintained campsite. Good size super pitches, water at pitch. Toilet and shower block spotless. Not bothered by the rail line but the road noise did disturb me as the traffic was busy at all hours. Owners were friendly and helpful if required.

We have just got back from a lovely stay at this site. We had a caravan and my parents a motorhome. The owners were very friendly on our arrival and kindly towed our caravan onto a great sea-facing pitch. The toilet/shower block was immaculate and very warm. The toilets smelt fresh and clean as soon as you walked in. The showers very lovely and warm and clean. Yes you can hear a bit of the A55 noise. But it didn't bother us one bit and I'm a light sleeper but slept like a log! It's a great base to stay at whilst visiting the local area. Llandudno and Ryhl are not far. There is a £4 deposit for a barrier card which is refunded when you leave. There's a small games room. I would definitely recommend this site. For the lovely kept grounds and great sea-view. Will definitely go back.

You have to accept that this site is situated between the A55 and the railway line or don't bother going. There is plenty of road noise though the trains are not as much of an issue.

On the face of it this should be a great site, the grounds are in excellent condition and all the facilities are well maintained and cleaned, though at a premium price. (£21 plus extra for awning dogs cars visitors the list is endless)

The main problem during our stay was the temperature in the toilet block, the water was usually (but not always) nice and hot, however the radiator was never more than luke warm which in December was not sufficient to heat the room. At £21 per night in low season the least I would have expected was not to be shivering in a shower room.

I also found it strange that when I wanted to extend my stay the member of staff said 'I'll just have to check availability', a look out of the window would have shown her there was only 5 other vans on the site.

Would I visit again probably not, but I see the attraction.

Well what can I say, one of the nicest campsites ever! - friendly and polite staff, who show you to your pitch and also offer the tractor to tow your caravan if needed

Three toilet/shower blocks (one being spanking brand new) I tried all three (not on the same day though haha!) and all were exceptionally clean and in good condition.

Lovely views from wherever you would of been positioned in your caravan/camper van) - the pitches were in tip top condition and the grass beautifully kept.

£4 for barrier card, which is refundable when leaving.

My only gripe is they charge for Wi-Fi - I paid £5 for 3 days (we were there for 4 nights) or you can pay per day, which I think was £3 or £10 for a week! - I found it was either ridiculously slow connecting or not connecting at all! which was very frustrating!

Would I return to this campsite. MOST DEFINITELY!

My husband and I arrived at this touring park and was greeted by the staff who were all very pleasant and polite. After booking in they asked if you needed someone to tow your caravan to your parking plot. This was done by tractor as a couple of the places were tight to get in. Not that the caravans were on top of each other, but the way they were situated. We didn't need to use the tractor and were very pleased when the staff escorted you to your plot. Plenty of space around the caravans. Toilets and showers were always kept immaculate and they were free. Plenty of hot water, seat in the shower cubicle and plenty of hooks to hang your towel and wash bags. (It's the little things that count when camping). Lots of hot water and space at the dish wash area although we didn't use this facility.

Easy to get to lots of different places including Anglesey to visit.

There's a train track running along one side of the campsite but we were not disturbed through the night. Highlight, we saw a steam train passing by.

This site is one of the cleanest and well kept sites we have been on. All credit to the owners and the staff.

My sister and her husband joined us for a few days which we paid a little extra for.

All in all a very enjoyable time was had.

There is no children's playground but there was a games room which we didn't go in.

We just stayed for one night and we were really glad that was all! It is a beautiful site and very well kept with stunning views BUT it is sandwiched between the main road and the railway line. Our dog loves playing on a sandy beach so we asked and were directed to the beach BUT it is fenced off because of shifting mud (I think to you and me that is quicksand!)

Spent 2 nights here 2 weeks ago all the staff are very helpful, there is no shop on site but there are plenty of local shops and pub within 5 min walk, the showers and toilets very clean. There is a regular bus service (No12) from just out side the site which runs from rhyl to landudno

The wifi is very good. Just outside the site is a lane down to the sea. We are going again this coming weekend.

Do not use this site unless you want your holiday ruined. The A55 runs along side at tree top level and the noise is horrendous

We were forced to park with the sites one redeeming feature, the view of the bay, facing our rear end bathroom with the awning, if we had got as far as putting it up facing the caravan next to us and our car! The reason given was that they could not have our door opening on to the next van should there be a requirement for the one reasonably sized green space to be used. If any unfortunate had to use that space why couldn't they face the sea as well, problem solved as there were no pitches anywhere near. We suggested an alternative possibility of turning the van by 90 degrees but that was rejected as well

The washroom facilities were grubby in the one building out of the three on the site that I used.

Just returned from 2 days at Born y Wendon, I had booked in for 3 but 'hurricane Bertha' got the better of me and I came back early. Firstly what a beautiful place it is. Over looking the sea (all pitches have sea views). If your staying for more than a few days you will placed on hard standing, these have own water, ehu and drain. Grass pitches are for a few nights. Reception are so helpful and run by 5 or so ladies. The only man I saw was the 'tractor' driver who kindly tows your caravan to the pitch for you, highly recommend him! Toilet/shower blocks are spotless and modern. Not designed for children (no park) but kids were playing 'politely' in front of their caravans. It states by sandy beach, it is true the beach is 2 min walk along adjacent road, but this is a rocky beach (full of them storm breaker rocks) and no sand in sight. I drove through old Colwyn and to Colwyn bay 10 mins (passing an Aldi) and there is the most fabulous beach(past pier). Free parking on side of road!. I would defo return to this site hopefully when I I will be able to put up my awning, open some windows and sit outside in the lovely sun, as the Bertha wind was BAD!

Despite signage stating that late arrival parking was for after 10pm we had to use this when we arrived 9pm and with no immediate access for filling our motorhome with water. The office closed at 7. 45pm. At 8am when the office opened my husband asked nicely (after giving good reasons) to be shown to our plot and overheard the Manager advising the staff with a definite ‘No’. The reason given was that it would’ve made too much noise. However, a diesel engined car towing a caravan was allowed to leave before 9am. We were charged the full price with no welcome. Once paying the deposit for the barrier key we were told we could come and go as we pleased without time restrictions. Noise no longer an issue with a barrier key?

We were delivered to our plot at 9. 15am and both staff seemed confused about how we should park for fire regulations. After levelling ourselves on this sloped and kerbed plot we had a visit from additional 2 staff who requested that we move 180 degrees so that our doors and windows faced the other way for fire regulations. A drive-away awning would now have been at the entrance to the plot and it would have been impossible to drive away without going over the kerb onto and over the grass. A double sized plot for awnings, marked with kerbs, sloped, and had to have windows and doors facing a certain way to meet fire & safety regulations. Not any enquiries made about the positions of our petrol or gas tanks!

At 11am our friends arrived and parked in the late arrival park. They paid the standard £1 visitor charge (non refundable) and £4 (deposit) for a car pass. Before starting the car our friend received a business phone call which he answered in his car. A member of the campsite staff stood looking at him with arms folded until he finished his call. Our friends who took us out in their car returned us at 11pm and had no way of getting his refund on the car pass back because the office closed long before this.

A Lovely area, nicely laid out site, toilet block lovely, but although our plot was in the centre of the campsite there was lots of noise from the motorway all night. Management need to help the staff and planning for motorhomes wouldn’t go amiss. Customer care should feature equally with fire regulations. A duty member of staff between 8 and 10pm, or reduce their fees for late night parking required.

We didn't receive a site map, so locating a motorhome waste point was difficult. Once through the barrier, office staff indicated that it was on late night parking area and someone could open the grate for us “if you want”.
